Love MIDDLE EASTERN melodies and rhythm. Really unique sound appreciation to all the old arab percussionists and musicians that made this type of music possible for us in the present day 🖤🖤 as well as all the Turkish ancestors
Well, you got it wrong there. The antecedents were Persian before Arab and Turk!, even while exotic instrumentation flourished across Mesopotamia earlier, including the Elamite Kingdom, Persia, 3000BCE.
Go to Persepolis - the friezes there still depict percussive and melodic stringed instruments within the kingdom and brought from near and far by gifting nations. Music was big there too.
Without political or cultural bias, education has faltered to teach us history.
Having said that, music is innate to the human species.

Well it was all improvised in the moment and mainly exploring the instrument for the first time in live on stage, so maybe sounds like 'tuning up'. Anyway thanks for listening.
