    17:15 Powder coating is a decorative finish, not a protective finish.
    Anodising is better for corrosion.

    Question from a novice here; Re the INTAKE PLATE; I appreciate that's it's essentially wide open...will debris from the Lake you are on, be able to enter/damage your Jet Pump??

    Can I buy the ride plate , the sponsons, and the jet pump intake bolt them on to my Yamaha 2021 and get some better performance from the stock engine ? And is that ok to do?

      You'll get better overall performance WITH the stock engine, but not because the engine is running more efficiently or anything. It's entirely indicative of the hull, and pump efficiency.

      @@watercraftjournal that’s great . I’m not looking for more speed or power. Just looking for better handling , smoother ride and overall just a cleaner ride ….cavitation ect ect ….thanks . 270-300hp is mind blowing as it is. Lol 350hp is face melting power , just think about that a Subaru wrx all wheel drive with a tune and turbo makes 400hp and weighs 3400lbs , this thing is almost as powerful but weighs 2000ls less just rounding on all numbers …..insanity . • @fzr1000981
      @fzr1000981 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, why be an azzhole? Guess it comes natural to you. The GP hull requires extensive mods to handle rough

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why make declarative statements on something you don't much about? The GP hull does NOT require such mods - no more than sponsons, an intake grate and ride plate. Just because YOU cannot handle it in rough doesn't place the vehicle at fault. It means you're a substandard rider. -K

    • @fzr1000981
      @fzr1000981 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Complete nonsense. Most endurance offshore guys have used the FX hull, and still do. For buoy courses, the sharper/quicker handling of the GP is worth the trade off in rough water stability. These are all well established facts. You know nothing about my riding history so making this personal with speculative comments is childish.

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How does the water look after 2-3 laps on a closed course? Ever been to Havasu? Worse than most offshore conditions, so your point is moot. -K
