I own one I swear by it I live in a apartment in my little man cave room the sound is huge, sometimes I look and how it sounds how did you do it BOSS, I run it on the AC , it will come in handy when travel I back home this year, the Brown Sound is killer, you can get some serious Van Halen sounds , lastly 7 watts its loud 7 watts , I highly recommend this amp, love the simplicity no fuss no bs with apps plug it in and go the way an amp should be, old school thinking
I like that it sounds great and is simple. I know some people like the apps and all that but it’s nice to have something that is just an amp and nothing else too
Believe it or not, this has been my main amp for the past 18months. Takes pedals really well and actually sounds ok with a good pair of open back studio headphones. I run it with rechargeable batteries 🔋 It obviously hasn’t got the headroom of a good valve amp but hey, when you live in an apartment and have kids it does a very good job 😊
For what this thing is, it sounds awesome. Much better than some of the amps of yesterday that would be marketed like this. I bought this to play when I was working on a ship. That job went a lot better with distortion.
Nice demo. Amp sounds good, I might pick up one for the next time I go on vacation. Right now I play a PRS MT 15 but am experimenting with cab sims and a metal zone lol.
Absolutely love mine. Enough volume to match your un amplified voice for busking. It is also small enough to walk and play. It also works great as a preamp for a louder speaker Only design flaw. Placement of powder switch means it is way too easy to turn the amp on while you're putting it away That means dead batteries when you go to use it again .Add something to shield switch from accidental power ons. Huge success in a micro amp; excellent clear tone. A friend, way better than me, couldn't help from sitting there envying the tone of this little amp against his Street Cube amp. Yeah, volume is stronger on bigger, more expensive amps. But, that is not the point of an amp lighter and smaller than your kid's lunch box.
I have had one, in red, for over two years and I love it! I would likely go to prison for one of my friends trying to slip out the door with it. But everyone seems to like use especially when we're just woodshedding and working on new music.
I wasn’t aware you could get other colours. They are great for practicing. The one thing a lot of people do now is practice with a plugin but I like this because it doesn’t require a computer. Also none of the possible technical issues involving a computer
@@IAmHappyToBe33 haha okay. That’s not really who it’s marketed for. Now I’m curious! Might be kind of cool. You probably know Joyo amps and they’re tiny and do it. I’m sure this would sound sick!
I was working away and this thing was fantastic. Simple and works. I wish I could have got a bit better mic’d up sound as this amp sounds great in the room.
I had one, sold it. The Politive Grid Spark Go blows this thing out of the water when it comes to portability and just the ability to practice anywhere. I hated the fact that the boss didn't have a rechargeable onboard battery and that hey opted for 6 AA's. The spark charges via USB-C and has bluetooth and the spark app... anywhay JUST DO A GOD DAMN SPARK VIDEO!
ahah well the spark definitely is a step up if you need all of that. I have heard a few clips and they rock. I think this should have a rechargeable battery as well. The thing with this amp is there are people who don't want all that other stuff. Depends what you want. Now I will have to try a spark.
I am not sure. The Boss ones will be a safe bet though. I am not sure if the other ones work good or not. Shouldn’t damage anything as long as it is the right wattage
It might be my micing. I think in the room it is good. Remember what it is for too. Now I have heard that the Positive Grid Spark is quite good and would be worth trying too.
What is your favourite practice amp? What are you playing with these days?
Plugins.. lol but I have a Katana Mini and dig it too.
@@nickcormier Plugins are good though. I like them quite a bit. I use Darkglass the most.
Spark GO. It's the size of a standard Bluetooth speaker, has a great app, rechargeable battery through USB-C.
@@JEKAFISHER I should give it a go sometime. I think sparks are fantastic options
@@JEKAFISHERI’m thinking about buying it as my first amp. I know it’s rechargeable, but what batteries does it take?

Thank you! The MT15 seems great. Never tried one. Should be able to get some gnarly tones with a metal zone!
OMG I LOVE YOUR JINJER SHIRT
Planning to buy this. Awesome tone❤
Ayo nice video dude! I exclusively use plugins but i’ve actually been getting the itch to get a practice amp just for fun. Might consider this guy!
Thank you! What plugin are you using??
@@BrianBower a bunch of stuff for fx and stompboxes. For amps i mostly use Plugin Alliance amp sims. Their VH4 sim is my favorite!
@@SorooshMhs that is awesome. I really liked Audio Assault stuff when I tried it

I installed a speaker out jack. Sounds great and loud thru a 2x12.
I’d like to see that! I bet it sounds huge
Have you tried the Spark Go yet? I did and returned it. This katana seems better to me.
Hey Brian, i am looking at getting this amp and will use it plugged into the wall, how can this work, what adapter do i need.
Can also add wiring and drive full sized speakers/cabs. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
No you cannot! You’ll need to buy a bigger Katana for that.
yes, you can! search youtube for katana mini mods. best of luck, mate

Honestly ,this is something you need
Would this make a ideal amp has I've never picked up a guitar need advice please
The price is right and the size is nice for playing alone. This would be fine or the Positive Grid Spark. Give it a shot.
Anyone tried this on AC adapter with P90 guitar? How bad is the hum with brown channel?
I was getting a lot of buzz with the AC adapter when using certain pedals, switched to batteries and it did clean up for me
Little bit of shock when i first time hear this amp

I think an amp like this is fantastic. Simple and sounds good
Sounds nothing like mine. For one thing you're missing that annoying 60Hz buzz that gets worse when you use any gain
You must not be using humbuckers
Did you have anything else running through this? I can’t believe those pinch harmonics sound so good through this thing…
Nope. Just straight into the amp. Wouldn’t be fair to show it off like that. I could try an OD though.
@@BrianBower that’s awesome I’m gonna have to pick one up

How does it compare to a roland micro cube?
Not sure. I don’t have one to compare it to!
Not a bad little amp it seems.
This thing works really well for when you need portable volume
You should have redone the video...incomplete
Infelizmente eu uso um VOX
Dude you played all those songs wrong
Make a video of you playing them right!
