BeoLab 2500 active loudspeakers are designed to complement the BeoSound Ouverture and BeoSound 3000. They sound three times their size thanks to their built-in amplifiers. They can be hung on the wall or placed on bookshelves.
Despite their small size, they match the Beocenter Ouverture and 3000 (previously they were used with the BeoSound 2300 and 2500 music systems) in terms of perspective and clarity. The built-in amplifiers in each cabinet explain the wide sound: one for bass and one for treble, so they never compete for the same amplifier.
BeoLab 2500 are active loudspeakers with two built-in power amplifier modules that can be used in conjunction with the current BeoSound 3000 and BeoSound Ouverture. They were available in Blue Lapis, Black Granite, Red Garnet, Green Malachite, Yellow Dolomite, and Silver Galena as speakers for the BeoSound 2300 and 2500 music systems. New metal frets, on the other hand, were introduced at the end of 2001. They are now made of pearlescent aluminum rather than replaceable cloth fronts (see below). These new perforated metal frets are currently available in five colors to match the BeoSound 1: natural aluminum, black, blue, green, and russet.
In the video, I demonstrate how to clean the isolation material inside the Beolab 2500 and the disassembly process. It is critical if you don't clean your Beolab 2500. Otherwise, the faulty isolation material will enter your amplifier board and damage your Beolab 2500.

if you want to only replace the rotten foam, just take the front completely out, no need to remove the speakers. That way you have full access to the foam

      Hi Mr Mr.
      Thank you for your comment.
You are absolutely right, but in some cases the rotten foam can get unde the amplifier board and just removing the front panel is not good enough. In addition, I also show the Disassembly process in this video. In relation to the learning process of the product itself if you are now going to change the parts.

I recently bought this speaker second hand and your video is very helpful. I expected a bit more bass from it. Do they need a recap?

If the speaker is in working condition I will only clean it up inside. 1-2 week I will get new isolation foam for the Beolab 2500 and when the sound quality will be improve with the foam and it will get more sound and bass.

I like these speakers and the styling, one really important point you fail to mention though, CAPACITORS you really ought to advise about possible electrical shock from them and how to safely discharge them. But otherwise really informative.

Hello my friend please read this and take note I say this for your own good.
if you’re sending parts to customers with charged capacitors someone is going to get a nasty surprise, talk to someone who understands about electronics and things and can physically show you how to do it safely discharge capacitors either via suitable resistor or similar. I wouldn’t advise via online message it’s to obscure, for goodness sake don’t attempt to take apart CRT televisions on your videos they have kilovolts stored on the tube! You also should be aware that if you don’t put a safety disclaimer at the beginning of your videos you may open yourself up to people trying to seek damages against you.

I have an old beolab 2500 and recently the left speaker stopped working. No LED and left speaker not working. I opened the speaker up and found alot of foam rot. Other speaker works and right channel is OK. I don't know which part to replace as I can't see anything burnt. Could you suggest which part I need to change please? Also do you have that replacement speaker foam? Thank you in advance!

Sound like the amplifier board is defective doing the bad isolation foam inside the Beolab 2000. At the moment we do have isolation foam for Beolab 2000.
