👍🤩💝Great challenge. I think some people (like you) just have an eye for photography. My mom tried to teach me photography but I just can’t seem to figure it out. 😂🤣😭
Hi Moose! This method of working with a subject whilst explaining what you are doing to photograph it works very well for my brain. I appreciate this series indeed. For greenhorns, like me, I would suggest watching a video you did about two years ago titled "Photography 101 Beginner Equipment." In that video, you offered a lot of specific advice about choosing a camera and accessories. There were also some terrific tips for those of us on a budget as well.
Loved this explanatory video explaining how your approach your shots. It's a wonderful way to ground and make hands on the theory you so kindly and generously offer to us. Thank you my friend 🙂📷💫
I never take photos, only music videos. Still, I find your explanation quite interesting. The patience you have to photograph that bird is admirable. Good luck with your channel.
Hi Moose, I’m really trying to get this. I so want to understand and use manual, but I was confused at about 5:30 in the video where you said you were going to “drop your exposure down a little bit”. I’m wondering what part of the exposure did you drop? I got lost. Can you tell us what you changed? Thank you! I’ve made a folder in my phone where I keep the notes from each class. Need to learn how the histogram works, too. How can I tell if it’s “blowing out the whites”? What does a balanced histogram look like? Maybe you’ll cover that in a later video. Loving it so far. Thanks again! 👍
Will respond tonight when I have more time for a detailed response. There are videos on my site about histograms, maybe do search in my channel for histogram. I do plan to redue them but they should be a good start
Dropping my exposure refers to the fact that I am photographing a white bird and I do not want the whites to loose detail because of overexposure. This is a concept we will cover in much more detail as we dive deeper and deeper into this class. For now, we should concentrate on photographing average scenes and learning how to set exposure for average scenes, then we can step into more difficult scenes. Thanks so much for jumping on board and asking specific questions, your participation charges me up to do this series and also shows me how to do the series. Thank you
@@MooseHenderson1 thank you. I’m loving this class. Thanks for taking it a little bit at a time. I’ll look for your videos on the histogram to get a feel for it. Haven’t taken any photos with my real camera yet, just my phone, but I will and will share them with you when I do.
@@melissadimoush8196 Melissa, this class is evolving into a major project, I love goals and you (and others) have inspired me to make this into a full blown “school”, covering many aspects of photography. Watch for intro video soon
Thanks for sharing the knowledge! Appreciate it! Lot of tips for my next filed practice!!
Glad it was helpful!

Glad to hear it!
