Great to see this for a comparison. I bought a flea bay special for a whopping 13 quid and 32p. Not been on bike in 2 weeks due to COVID symptoms and being off work sick. I look forward to my testing.
@@CalmBiker thanks all better now. Took my bike out after 2.5wks sitting in the garage with the additional screen. What a difference. No buffeting. Amazing results for such a simple device. I don't like it's aesthetics but as it's on an adv style bike, I'll leave it on. Good luck with the quiet recordings now 👍
Big difference there Richard. This reminds me, I've got a cheapy wind deflector to try out on the new bike. Time to pull my finger out and give it a whirl.
I think you have always had good audio mate, I know I have commented in the past that you are quite softly spoken so I've had to turn up the volume a bit on my PC, but I didn't need to on this one. My hearing isn't the greatest though, so me having to turn it up in the past is possibly more of a me problem than an audio issue too 🙂
I tried the Sony mic too and the sound is generally miles clearer but I sent it back because I couldn't deal with the excessive gain - too many pops and crackling. Purple Panda is on the way as an alternative.
Hello I have been in Europe for the last 5 weeks visiting Latvia, Sweden and Estonia, the weather is magnificent at the moment. The wind noise is not noticeable at all mate.
Definitely much clearer than previously. I'd say that's a good purchase.
It seems worth the tenner 🙂
@@CalmBiker Can't beat it at 10! :)

The price does fluctuate but still pretty cheap! Hope you're feeling better soon.

I think it was worth the money 😀

I was pleasantly surprised, given the price. I had a slightly different one of the old CB500X. It helped but not nearly as much.
@@volgnit I noticed a massive difference when I used my cheap tacky 'blob of plastic'. Take the plunge and I'm sure you'll agree too. 🤞
The reduction in wind noise is impressive.
Not bad at all for a tenner!
Much improved…. and for the price of a pint down South. ;D
That's great and depressing in one sentence! 😀

@@CalmBiker people seem to rate the PP mic 🙂
@@HippoDrones It seems pretty good. I'm going to upload the testing of both (when I catch up) on my videos).
Sounds good to me Richard.
Cheers Nev!
Sounds ok to me. 👍
I think it's s definite improvement.
That seems OK Rich 👍
Cheers Graham!
Got a link please, see them at £15.00, look good
The seller I purchased from was "sponge-282" on eBay. They don't seem to have it at the moment unfortunately.
