Even in my own culture families helping with a bebe a lot, the grandmother just doing things according to her culture, I have seen a clip where Lawu's was nholding her babe. We cannot judge based on videos only , I believe she understands the dynamics of Chineses families by now.

The hospital would not allow her to. She had a C Section, thus picking up or holding the baby is after 5 days. She laid down with her son besides her for now.❤
I haven’t seen one image of Lawu holding, changing the nappies or feeding her baby. Grandma does it all. I don’t know if this is Chinese birth tradition that the mother does nothing not even hold or care for the baby at the beginning. I hope Lawu is able to parent her child and bond with him soon. I hope grandma and dad allow her to raise him. In my culture no family is allowed to visit or hold the baby until at least a month. They are not vaccinated yet and have no little immune to fight off adult diseases
In others culture family is allowed to stay for until 3 months to allow nursing mother to rest and recover properly. It's a blessing. You have a lifetime with your child
