Nice Hash Legacy miner is more efficient in the code base versus Nice Hash v2.0. That's what I've found in my experience. I think the v2 was done in C# and v1.8.1.5 (legacy) is written in CPP, which doesn't have to JIT like a .NET application (less overhead).

Probably have to take into account that in 12 months of the GPU running on the first rigs, the VRAM on the cards isn't going to be running at optimal performance so won't be mining as much.
Also, nvidia and AMD are gonna release some new mining targeted cards soon so I assume the newer rigs wont necessarily stick with the 580s.
Looking forward to seeing the project progress.

Also was surprised you went with the Radeon 580s. The profit yield per card compared to a gtx 1080 8gb is half the amount. ~$80.00 (rx 580) vs $174.00 (gtx 1080).
The cost for either of these cards is comparable and he value you get is 2x per card in the long run.
