Console/home version won't include revivals but I agree 'cos I don't like the way the KCET done to Home version's ALL MUSIC MODE (in CD's) rather than this one (banner mode selection)
I'm talking about the major DDR series (1st, 1st I.R., 2nd, 2ndLINK, 3rd, 3rdPLUS, 4th, 4thPLUS) Solo series are minor versions (TKD, DCT, Solo BASS MIX, Solo 2000, Disney'sRAVE)
Despite being sub-games, every Konami original from that game made it into 4th mix aside from it's Paranoia remix. Given that they didn't have to pay licensing tracks for Dancemania tracks, and the Solo series had been dropped in favor of 4th mix, there was no reason that the licenses couldn't have found their way in. If oddities like the Korean 3rd mix tracks can make it in, then songs like Kiss Me, Drill Instructor, I'm Alive, and the awesome Dream a Dream remix should have also made the cut.
I didn't say that "DDR 5thMIX" was a bad version especially its respective licensed song debut but the problem of "DDR 5thMIX" was lots of Licensed and KONAMI songs removal from the previous DDR versions. Also the song content library of "DDR 5thMIX" was less than "DDR 4thMIX PLUS"
In terms of license songs content "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" has 90 license songs than "DDR EXTREME" which has only 51 license songs. In overall content "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" has 150 songs (more License songs) and "DDR EXTREME" (more Konami songs) has 240 songs
because "DDR 4thMIX" is only a PS version which is still holding 52 songs only just like the previous DDR versions with CDs. Imagine if this "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" has 150 songs in CDs, it gonna be very very crowded
In major Series,it doesn't considered those minor series cos like those Konami Original Songs from DDR Solo Series, they're featured as NEW ones which are considered debuted in 4thMIX and the 2 ones(which were also present in TKD)are debuted in 4thMIX PLUS.If those License songs from DDR Solo series were included in "DDR 3rdMIX PLUS",those will include also in this mix like those 7 Korean Dance Musics, but unfortunately not, & "STRICTLY BUSINESS" was dropped down, then "SO MANY MEN" in "DDR 4thMIX"
DDR 4thMIX PLUS, Extreme, SuperNOVA 2, and X2 hold the highest number of songs before their decrease in a next game ^^ I wonder...if ever a local city gets four of them on nearby malls = full full party! XD.
Due to marketing and bootlegs, many arcades and fans are duped to believe that "Extreme is the best." I don't think that's necessarily true. Today, the opportunity to play a mix older than Extreme is rare, unless one owns a cabinet.
oh i forgot, and yes.. "DDR 2ndMIX CLUB VERSiON" and "DDR 2ndMIX CLUB VERSiON2" are also major versions, but VER.KOREA's are not cos they're non-JAPAN versions
I remember comming when I saw the song list. BTW, how do you get all those arcade line-ins? Do you own the machines and do it yourself? You're the man, thanks!
Dati ay nasa "DODOLON AMUSEMENT Liana's Earnshaw" (Sampaloc, Manila) ito (as you can see at my profile picture).
neglect non-japanese (ASIAN / Korean version). So this mix basically 1.0 (minus STRICTY BUSINESS) + 1.5 + 2nd + 2nd LINK VERSION + 3rd (minus SO MANY MEN) + 3rd PLUS + 4th + new songs. these are the proper sequence in terms of original japanese major DDR versions or series
I agree that Extreme is overrated, and X2 is YMMV (Ottawa has it; the 442 songs are roughly a three-way split: X series, SN series and Extreme), but SN2 is a solid mix. There are two in my region: mine, plus a Gatineau arcade.
Not ALL of the licensed songs. Unfortunately, a bunch of good ones from the solo series never saw the light of day in a more popular release. (including an awesome remix of Dream a Dream)
Movellandrone *Party Edition, and oddly it was a really _good_ EU mix for the time, especially because it was on more limited hardware compared to the arcade versions it's based on.
4th Plus has 150 songs (no code required), Extreme has 226, plus another 14 added with an operator code, bringing the total to 240. Only 73 songs from 4th Plus or older, however, are in Extreme.
4thMIX PLUS & Extreme will forever be my favorites
1:12 - 1:30 Man.. nostalgia factor times a MILLION just hearing that menu music. *Kreygasm*
The ever coveted 4th+ machine. We used to travel for miles and miles to get to one. The song selection was fucking fantastic.
Yeah its a good thing that you stay making videos of the older versions of DDR instead of the ones we have now.
Hands down my absolute favourite instalment in the DDR franchise
Mi DDR favorito
best ddr mix ever...... it had the least removal
Console/home version won't include revivals but I agree 'cos I don't like the way the KCET done to Home version's ALL MUSIC MODE (in CD's) rather than this one (banner mode selection)

agree, many songs omitted in "DDR 5thMIX" after this "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" maximizing
kee kee kee keep on movin!!!
the best compilation!! is the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th an a litlle bit of 5th here!!!
Despite being sub-games, every Konami original from that game made it into 4th mix aside from it's Paranoia remix. DAYUM 4th mix is soooo good
"DAYUM 4thMIX PLUS is soooo good"
can you spot Devil Zukin in the intro?
yeah agree. i like "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" better than in "DDR EXTREME" in terms of license songs content
I didn't say that "DDR 5thMIX" was a bad version especially its respective licensed song debut but the problem of "DDR 5thMIX" was lots of Licensed and KONAMI songs removal from the previous DDR versions. Also the song content library of "DDR 5thMIX" was less than "DDR 4thMIX PLUS"

could KONAMI re-release this in the arcades in HD?
because "DDR 4thMIX" is only a PS version which is still holding 52 songs only just like the previous DDR versions with CDs. Imagine if this "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" has 150 songs in CDs, it gonna be very very crowded

at least the SOLO BASS & SOLO 2000 songs made it into EXTRA MIX!
I already mention this in the details like "SO MANY MEN" and "STRICTLY BUSINESS" was removed in "DDR 3rdMIX PLUS"
So this could be considered Dance Dance Revolution Ultimate?
Before extreme
DDR 4thMIX PLUS, Extreme, SuperNOVA 2, and X2 hold the highest number of songs before their decrease in a next game ^^
I wonder...if ever a local city gets four of them on nearby malls = full full party! XD.
4th Mix Plus IS STILL THE BEST DDR EVER.
Played it a lot at Micronesia Mall in Guam back then (Fun Fair) before Extreme replaced it.
Due to marketing and bootlegs, many arcades and fans are duped to believe that "Extreme is the best." I don't think that's necessarily true. Today, the opportunity to play a mix older than Extreme is rare, unless one owns a cabinet.
when you choose "ALL MUSIC MODE", the characters are RANDOMLY chosen, take note those characters are scrolling
yeah agree, the maximum license songs, the best mix
oh i forgot, and yes..
You're the man, thanks!
who did you choose as your character dancervic?
In 4th Mix, the ALL MUSIC has CDs but how come the All Music in this version doesn't? :)
"CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE" (4thMIX)
"CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE [SPEED MIX]" (5thMIX)
yeah, but unfortunately, it is only HOME VERSION for the combination of 4thMIX PLUS, Solo BASS MIX, and Solo 2000
I literally bought an extra PCB just to have a permanent 4th mix plus so I didn't have to load and reload mixex
meron pa ba nito dito sa pinas? parang puro stepmania cabinets na lang ang nakikita ko sa mga arcades ngayon eh...
Dati ay nasa "DODOLON AMUSEMENT Liana's Earnshaw" (Sampaloc, Manila) ito (as you can see at my profile picture). Noong dumating ang Habagat 2013, binaha ang Sampaloc, Manila at inabot ang machine na ito. does the CLUB VER's and KOREA VER's classify as minor versions too?
Anyone know the name of the song in the intro starting at 50 secs?
they're gonna play Track no. 001 "PARANOiA" :D
in the future i would like to buy this arcade machine....
Hi, somebody knows the name of the music what play in the credits please ?
Dance Dance Revolution 4thMIX Production BGM Ending by Naoki Maeda
so is this mix basically 1st + 2nd + 3rd + 3rdKOREA + 4th + new songs?
neglect non-japanese (ASIAN / Korean version).
Forget 5th Mix and Max, this makes Extreme, X2 and SuperNOVA 2 look like a joke.
correct
I agree that Extreme is overrated, and X2 is YMMV (Ottawa has it; the 442 songs are roughly a three-way split: X series, SN series and Extreme), but SN2 is a solid mix. There are two in my region: mine, plus a Gatineau arcade.
Corecto! this also my Favorito! =D
Not ALL of the licensed songs. Unfortunately, a bunch of good ones from the solo series never saw the light of day in a more popular release. (including an awesome remix of Dream a Dream)
This makes Dancing Stage Party Mix (the equivalent of 4th Mix in UK) look like a joke... I want to go to japan now D:
Movellandrone Party Edition was mostly based on Konamix (itself uses the 4th mix engine).
Movellandrone *Party Edition, and oddly it was a really _good_ EU mix for the time, especially because it was on more limited hardware compared to the arcade versions it's based on.
I've grown to love Konamix aka. Party Edition. Sure, it's Konami-focused, but it has a lot of enjoyable tracks.
does this mix have more songs than ddr extreme?
4th Plus has 150 songs (no code required), Extreme has 226, plus another 14 added with an operator code, bringing the total to 240. Only 73 songs from 4th Plus or older, however, are in Extreme.
You know whats missing? Needs more strictly business.
So Many Men also removed
