8 years or 100,000 miles warranty that COVERS the battery. Average person in uk does 6600 miles a year 🤔- 90k car pulling a 30k residual is absolute waffle. Looking on autotrader pcp residuals are pulling out at 45K. Anyone that has an electric car does not constantly use super chargers to charge their car. PRECONDITIONING the vehicle helps prolong battery health. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELVES WITH EV.
Everything you said is 100% true. Theres actually a lot of evidence showing that fast charging doesnt actually degrade batteries health in evs due to the massive amount of cooling they have, phones have little (vapour chambers) to no cooling so the batteries used there are completely irrelevant with the ev argument. Theyre also pouch cells rather than cylindrical, chemical makeups are completely different etc.
These guys seem to have no idea about electrics cars at all. Hilarious. “Electric wires goes” … “no warranty on battery” just like 75 year old luddites talking at the golf club
- Claims of market recovery, citing one or two outliers. - The mechanic, who's clearly never touched an EV, with stories of 50% battery degradation over 4 years. The supercar market is in free fall. Just need to look at how long stock is sticking, vehicles are going unsold at the most reputable auction houses, or the paltry prices achieved by those few that do sell. To assess the value of their content, ask yourself one thing. Do they EVER make one comment or statement that doesn't serve to move their own stock??? 1. "Huracan Perf is solid investment"... they have one sitting at £190k. 2. "Huracan was the best sounding V10 ever made"... have you heard a Carrera GT or Lexus LFA? 3. "720S is astounding value".... they have no less than 7 sitting depreciating in stock. Come one chaps, you must do better.
I have a 2021 Taycan 4s 93Kwh, still gets 240 miles. Ive had two Tesla Performance's, The Porsche gets more real life range. I agree the 73kwh single motor Taycan is not a good buy.
I would tend to disagree. There is a massive weight difference depending on what battery and model is chosen. A 4S Taycan is a massive 200 KGS over the RWD standard battery model. That's two near 16 stone-large men in the car with you or 8 heavy check-in suitcases. That's huge. The battery has more weight to shift, the brakes have more mass to stop etc etc.
Sorry but there are a lot of things said on here that are just not correct. A Porsche Taycan does not have a battery degrade of 50% after 4 years. Ferrari not only guarantees the battery in their hybrids (296GTB for instance) and on top, if maintained (which is free for 7 years) customers automatically get a new batter install (FOC) in year 8 if the warranty has been extended. There are a lot of inaccuracies in this pod cast and shows a lack of proper understanding of EV's vs ICE vehicles.
You’re spot on! I was thinking exactly the same! Plus, I find it very difficult to believe how a 24 plate Taycan turbo s would be sold for 75k; I think that was a blatant lie.
I'm new to TH-cam, hopefully have my first full video out soon, I hope I get to buy my first supercar from you guys at some point in the future, humble and loyal team well done GVE ❤
My friend bought a brand new EV. 120,000 miles on it, still has 90% of original range, other than change the brake fluid he’s done absolutely no maintenance on it whatsoever. Not a single penny. I’m not convinced people understand the full story. All you see in garages are 5 year old cars having cam belt changes to stop the engine seizing up, yet we don’t get anywhere as excited that engine’s let go at 100k +
How can you take these guys seriously if they don't know the structure of an electric battery? 50% less after 4 years? Porsche will give you a new battery if this happens. I agree with all the people's comments: don't speak on electric car subjects if you haven't done your research.
Nobody wants a single motor 4S 73KW,have sold lots of these this year, all between £55-£65k,all with good spec.Agree they have dropped a lot for a Porsche, but you are only looking at the basic low spec cars under the £40k
Yes these guys aren’t always getting their facts right but at least they’re not beholden to a manufacturers marketing department because they need an influencer allocation or launch invites in exchange for adverts.
Dont think they are talking waffle but electric cars batteries life a big problem. Police wont do much cause cost time and money for the thefts. Harsher laws would be a big deterrent and long sentences.
Porsche guarantee their high voltage batteries for 8 years and they don’t degrade by half in four years, doughnuts! Plus, the story about 75k for a brand new Taycan turbo s is most definitely a fib! These boys clearly have an agenda, which is: our petroleum sports cars are better than the equivalent electric sports cars, so come buy from us!

What a load of bollocks. They're dropping like stones because nobody wants the rotten things
No way does a Porsche Taycan have only 50% of it’s original battery range after 4 years - nonsense
Porsche covers it to 8 years, and will fix it if under 70% within that time.
Porsche gives an 8-year warranty on the battery.

Guys amazing podcast👍 you all are very knowledgeable and professional💪

Mark Mcann has just done a video on the new Lamborghini and starting price was £260,000
Sadly in this Country, when an expensive car gets stolen (especially a Supercar) Public sympathy is with the robbers not the owners

pure waffle. they aint 30k. and they defo dont have 5 years battery life LOL
We’ve picked up in the trade for £30k, well done 👍🏽
@@davidrai1545 you never once mention trade price so stop talking waffle.
@@davidrai1545what was the model and year
Aventador SVJ over a revuelto for me 👍🏼
Sour grapes. Just because they don't have any in stock... such waffle.
😆 my mate said so.. must be true
14:25. Try getting insurance on a car that the insurance company knows will be scrapped in a couple of years.
50%…? You have no idea what you are talking about…
Compared to their petrol counterparts, electric sports cars are virtually free to run!
This discussion is for people who don't know the car market and will still no little after watching this.
Left type is around 70-100k € 😂

And the 4s launched for £83k so £40k is not far off 50pct of original cost for a low spec model - not unreasonable for most cars.
SVJ👍
Only if you can’t afford the new one…” keeping up with the joneses😮

Thanks mate, very good point and explains some of the bias content being pushed out there
yea i hear you. not many people at the top can talk as freely was they want to
Talking a load of rubbish. Which EV looses 50% range after 4 years?
Can’t see any Taycan for £30k .
We all know the Taycan depreciates faster than a lead balloon 🎈 lol 🤣

I’m here if you want lower you cars prices, especially the 488

A Porsche is never cheap…buy the taycan and see your bank balance drain off at alarming rate.
