Got the Farrow bag for my upcoming Paris trip specifically because it was so hard to access 😂 I actually appreciate that the bag is a little noisy when opening and that the ties are little more to deal with, plus that it’s a crossbody - you should at least be able to both hear and feel a pickpocketer attempting to grab at it, I think! 😅🙈

The Farrow is one of my favorite bags! I actaully don''t open/close the drawstring, instead I have it tied kind of loose (but done up nicely). I also wish you would have talked about the hollow/plastic feeling the bag has. I don't mind it but it's probably the number comment I see people posting about in social media groups.
I wondered about this! I’ve looked at buying the farrow but wondered if the leather becomes softer? The croc embossed looks really tough which puts me off a little
Yeah that makes sense! Ooh interesting, I didn’t actually really notice but then I only had the bag to review, rather than properly using it. Maybe I’d have noticed then.
I wear it like this too. It's a handy bag if you have a toddler, and are constantly reaching in and out for snacks, drink cup etc. I will say I do live in a very safe area and don't need to worry about pickpockets etc
@@elizarosalind Yes, the leather softens up quite a bit! My Farrow bag can now be pulled tight together at the top. Mine is an older version in smooth black leather.
I got the bucket bag last summer in the woven (raffia?) version as an alternative to a basket bag as I prefer a longer/cross body style than a shoulder bag. it’s something hard for someone to pop their hand in on the Manchester trams too. Not a style I’d wear year round, but a great little summer bag.
I have an older version of the Farrow bag in smooth black leather. With time and use, the leather has become softer and the bag can now be pulled all closed at the top. So it is actually quite secure. Thank you for your review!
