    What’s awesome. Desire weather to grow these melons are around 68 to 75 degrees during spring time. Takes about 55 to 65 days to see any productions. I’m planting to farm 20 acres as my first trial. Hopefully will be successful with it. If so imma mass farm it around 100 acres 🤤. Thanks for the great videos

    I used some fish last summer on my tomato plants after watching one of your videos. I had to settle for little sardines from a can (haha) but it was a start for this city girl. I had the best tomato production I've ever had in a garden! It's a small garden, but it was so satisfying, still. Maybe 8 plants. I'm going to try some new things this year and am growing everything from seeds for the first time! (the nursery plants have become SO expensive).

It is way larger than I need it. I started using the trimming for the rabbits, tortoise, and as kindling for the bbq/fire but I can use it like the bamboo or Apple branches could work too. Thank u for the inspiration! God Bless you.

    Sorry if it's a repeat question. You originally planted 25 seeds, 2 per pot, then planted 12 plants. Did you cull the weakest plant per pot? Second, care to share your seed supplier and why are you buying seed vs. Using seed from the melon you already had?
    I love you man! Found your chanel last year and followed your advice for trellised cucumbers. My wife was cussing you when we were at tractor supply loading a hog pannel on the roof of her brand new Jeep, I only wish youtube comments allowed pictures so I could share with you how amazing they did!
    I tried to mazimize space and plant sweet onions in front of the cucumbers. To be honest my laziness training the cucumbers wiped out the onions. To my surprise, when I went out to prep the garden area, I found 6 onions growing strong! Removed them and put them in a pot in the greenhouse so I could prep the area.

    My dad has grown melons or other vining vegetable/fruit plants but he never puts the trellis in. He just lets the vines spread across the ground. Is there a reason that you don’t do the same? Is the trellis just used as a space saver, or does it help the plant grow?
    Basically, can I grow Korean Melons without a trellis? 😊

    What's the advantage of starting the seeds in pots instead of just putting them directly into the ground or into a planter box? (In my case, I put a bunch of the seeds directly into planter boxes with attached trellises on the backs of them. I hope the boxes will be big enough, in order for the plants to root deeply and spread enough. I used seeds that I took out of a melon that I got at a Korean grocery store. I planted them two weeks ago and they're sprouting well.

      You get to select the best and strongest younglings to transplant to the actual site. Indoor has better and safer growing conditions for seedlings. Develop a more compact root system first before transplanting. Etc.

    I try growing this Korean melon. My wife saved the seeds from a melon she ate . So I am trying to grow it. It’s growing pretty good, with a lot of flowers, but little melons. Should I prune some of the leaves, like cucumbers and zucchini plants. And should I grow them up on a trellis. I am growing them on the ground

      Welcome to the family!! The Asian Melons are very tasty and refreshing as one of our favorite summer snacks. They are fun to grow and do well on a trellis. As for the stem bores, I had problems with them on my squash a few years ago. I built some burlap frames and covered the plants until they started to bloom. I removed the frames after they started to bloom and had no problems. I haven't had any problems since then but is I do, I will use the frames. There are some pics of the frames on our Facebook Page. Check them out, you may have to scroll down a ways but they are on there. Thanks for watching and subscribing to our channel. Have a blessed day😇

      I ordered them online from a greenhouse supply company. Sorry, can't remember the name. Check with your local landscape companies, they have hundreds of these during early spring and fall when they are installing annual flowers. They will give them to you because they throw them away.

    I'm losing my mind. My cantaloupe are doing so well as far as the vines are concerned. They are Lush and green and look beautiful and I had high hopes but I don't see one flower starting on any of them. I'm seeing mixed ideas about this but not really getting a straight answer on the videos I'm watching. Can you tell me why my plants are not flowering? Is there a particular nutrient missing or did I let the vines get too long and should I cut them back?

    • @jessak369
      @jessak369 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sounds like they got plenty of nitrogen to develop leaves and foliage. Have you tried adding a source of phosphorus like bone meal? Phosphorus helps promote flowering.
