In a world of bland homogeneous pop. RM makes you stop and think. Its strangely addictive and after a 4th or 5th listen... its a favourite. In a world of fast fashion and fast pop designed more for the fast buck than art. RM is that rare breed. A successful artist with alot to lose who just wants to make music. He trusts that his fans are not stupid and will enjoy complex ideas, interesting sound scapes and music designed to provoke your own imagination not be disposable brain dead junk. Right at the begining it says inside Namjoons brain but the people have labels RM. The RM people form a human ladder for his climb. Though I adore this song it is also saddening that after his climb RM is still blank and confused. Luckily his photos from the army show him looking more relaxed snd happy than in his lives before he went in. In one of those lives in answer to a question that he looked heartbroken he said yes he can be a little bit hearbroken, that he had been dealing with all those shits for the last 10 years. I have wondered if he knew all these problems with Min Hee Jin were about to hit the fan. He may have even known a campaign was about to start against them. One thing was clear he was really excited by this album.

@@maryr1905I think when you are attuned to an environment (as someone like RM who has been in that company since it was tiny and contributed to its growth likely is) you can “sense” change/danger long before you discover what direction it is coming from. In any case, there are songs where a hint of old-school Rap Monster peeks through that feel VERY relevant to the current situation. Even if they are not directly related to it, I am glad they exist. To me, they project the message: “I might be a good person, but I am not a doormat. Tread carefully.” Hopefully at least one of them gets an MV.

Can anyone imagine spending their entire 20’s under a chaotic schedule? Leader, songwriter, spokesperson, producer, keeping an image, family, friends, ARMY, military, Government assignation and more, all this in a span of more or less than 10 years. This video is a glimpse of a part of his brain. GOD bless him and I truly wish him good health and prosperity.

I'm not officially an ARMY yet, but I think I'm slowly getting there. The more I learn about them, the more I like BTS. And the thing I like about RM is that he's incredibly intelligent, and that he's a fan of Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, who I LOVE. Murakami, to me, is absolutely a surrealist writer. I mention this because the 2 videos, but especially this latest one that he's released, is done in a surrealist style.
Just in my opinion, Surrealism isn't always structured to overtly mean something. In my experience with consuming Surrealist art and films, surrealism is purposely perplexing because it's an exploration of the subconscious. There is something about the absurdity and limitlessness of our dreams and imagination that somehow makes more sense than waking life. It holds all our potentiality and wisdom, just waiting to be decoded.
And the fact that RM appreciates Surrealism, to me, shows that he's comfortable exploring parts of himself that may be... uncomfortable to confront. In other words, the shadow self. After all, one cannot confront one's own subconscious without meeting one's own intrusive, dark, ugly thoughts and feelings. And it takes strength and integrity to be able to deal with that stuff.
ANYHOO. Thanks for coming to my little TED talk! LOL. Go RM, I'm rooting for you! I LOVE how artistic he is!!

Just want to add - I agree with Fairlane, I think RM made this album just for himself. It really does seem like an expression of personal taste; the fusion of surrealism and experimental jazz/rap is not a popular or easily palatable genre. Anyone dabbling in experimental jazz fusion does it for passion, not for money. I frigging love it tho, and I commend BSH for fully supporting their individual artistic endeavors. That is absolutely the kind of head of a label you would want.

This means I have a better understanding of it now and was glad that at least my thoughts were heading in the right direction. @@VerucaS9lt Thank you for the comment. Your interpretation does make sense. Also, he has always been interested in Jung's philosophy. I'm not sure if you know already, but there are literally three songs titled "Persona", "Shadow" and "Ego" in BTS' Map of the Soul album and songs like Blood Sweat and Tears directly confront the idea of "good" vs "evil" and reference Herman Hesse's "Demian". So, his drawing inspiration from Murakami is very much believable!😊

RM is well above Kpop...its sometimes confusing songs and clips are a delight to "dissect" and I really like your analysis...when I got involved in ARMY I found BTS very different from other groups and their maturity to each one is a continuous amazement... It is true that if ARMYs do not always understand the twists and turns of our leader's brain, they support him because it is important for his future knowledge creation processes to know that he has our trust. ..Bang Sy Hyuk is also included in this process by supporting less "commercial" projects and that should not be forgotten!! I have just read that 100 million sales have been achieved and that the album is "All Kill" in South America and more than 70 countries in Europe...So personal and financial success for RM!! So proud of our leader and this fandom!!

This is Kim Namjoon finally shedding every other persona and allowing him to speak himself. This is literally a dam bursting, a stream of consciousness upwelling of feeling, more than any conscious thought - which must have been such a huge relief, after having for years to live and speak as required, for the sake of procuring a forum for his music, as leader of a band, as a spokesperson … as a man always in the spotlight. I am so grateful that he did this. And I am grateful, as always, to Bang Si-hyuk for recognising this man (yet again!) for the unique and talented individual that he is, and for supporting him all the way. It doesn’t matter whether we “get” Namjoon’s music or not. For me, what is of paramount importance is that he should do what moves him; given who he is, we will always be treated to something exceptional.

I m gonna be honest here, when i first watched lost i was confused yet curious as what it implies then i listened to the whole album and as i progressed through the songs i became overwhelmed with the emotions. It's like the reality was finally hitting me that someone who i look up to the most and the someone who is the reason of my postivity is himself going through so much and is in a very dark place. I watched mini moni today and boy, did i felt pain, i was hit with truck load of emotions for rm. I felt gratitude, honour, respect, pride and much more for this man. In the end, the respect for him grew ten fold. He is really an amazing human being and brave enough to share this with us. We love u rm, thank u for trusting us to share ur deepest emotions with us.

As I posted on his video.... On the first listen I was WTF? What was that? Where am I? Am I lost? I walked around my living room a lot like Jimin thinking.... But that is what art makes you do.... think and evaluate. The whole album was like that for me. I was up most of the night listening.... About the 10th time through I was at time in my car on the way to work and I found myself smiling and bopping.... and singing along "Throw it on the ground. Pick it up. Throw it in the truck!" I'm still working on that part of the song... but I can visualize it clearly. You toss something away... forcefully DONE with it.... then you want it back... and store it somewhere because you may need it later. It's gradually filtering through my brain. It is this deeper meaning... and broad range in the album... that may make this his most significant work to date. While watching him and Jimin listening to the music... I was struck by Jimin's comment... "I missed this from you". When they first met RM was the members teacher in the school of music. I think he showed that side more of himself to the members than he did to us... and he gradually LOST that. So now he's picked it up; and thown it in the truck!

Yes, Jimin’s comment hit me in the feels. I like the imagery you evoke of him “picking up” that lost/forgotten side because it means we might see more of it later. The album has quickly grown on me. I am happy he got to do this project the way he wanted.

In my opinion, the distinction between the BTS and NJ fandoms primarily lies in the age demographics of their fans. NJ's supporters are predominantly teenagers to youngsters below 30, who generally have ample time to stream music and engage actively online. In contrast, BTS's ARMY encompasses not only young people under 30 but also a significant number of fans aged 30 and above. This older segment often has limited free time due to work and other responsibilities, which influences their more mature approach to view competitions and online engagement. However, this maturity brings a notable advantage: financial resources. Older fans can support BTS by purchasing albums and merchandise, as demonstrated by the international ARMY who successfully charted RM songs in numerous countries, even when they didn't fully understand the song. This financial support underscores their dedication and plays a crucial role in BTS's global success.

Namjoon has so many hats to wear but which one is actually his own .. its probably hard for him to find his autentic self .. I hope one day he finds his true self and be happy .. we will support him no matter what .. this man is as deep as the ocean, and he desreves all the love he is getting .. as of the time of watching this video Namjoon song Lost is an all kill on all Latin American music platforms .. Like a great painting, Namjoon,s music leaves you to think. It doesn’t provide an answer, just questions. When I saw the video of the office, everyone dressed alike, etc. I thought of my past working for a large insurance company. We did not dress exactly alike but suits were expected. There were many rules and expectations. I always felt like a square peg trying to fit in a round hole. I was what I did, not who I was as a person. But I needed a good career to support my family. After 12 years I left the company . I went back to college and got a masters degree in a profession that allowed me to exercise my creative side. I had the opportunity to be myself and not just sleepwalk through life. I’m not sure if that was Namjoon's particular message but that is how it resonated with me. I can’t imagine living under the magnifying glass as these 7 guys do. All of us strive to live an authentic life and at some point not doing that causes distress and pain. I appreciate Namjoon using his great talent to introduce himself in such a creative way. What’s that saying , “you do you”. be happy and healthy. I think a concert with each of the guys performing their own solos as well as group songs would be awesome. But at some point the guys may go in different directions which I personally understand completely. Thank you, RM for your honesty and many thanks for this analysis.

I love Namjoon's "weirdness"...not only keeps us the listerners on our toes...but also fellow artists. Also RM did not do these mv and music alone...yes..its reflective of Namjoon's Brain...but he had a lot of other people including song writers, producers etc working on it too. If it was mad weird i think these people who have said so....i think the outcome is weird enough to shift change but not too weird to creep you out.
As you say ...when u come back to the mv you will see the logic...but you must want to come back....not everyone will...except the ones that just know there is more than meets the eye.
I think the music alone shd keep you interested...the instrumentation is so evolved ...so beautiful.

I DID notice in the beginning of this mv “Inside Namjoon’s Brain” so to me, I was already expecting the mv to be a trip through all of the random and non-linear thoughts, ideas, questions, problems, doubts etc that bubble up constantly in his brain ( and totally relatable, because we all have sometimes the craziest things that don’t always make sense or accurately reflect reality going through our minds, on any given day!) I thought it was quite interesting and kind of amusing. It reminded me of the movie “Being John Malkovich.” This mv has that same quirky, off-kilter vibe, that also feels like you’re in a dream, where things are quite vivid, sometimes scary, and are usually puzzling. This album will definitely NOT be a lot of people’s cup of tea. It is truly alternative music and very much deserving of its E explicit rating. It is not for the kids or faint of heart. I liked it and enjoyed it best just going from start to finish while working out. I can’t say that I understood or “got” every reference or followed every train of thought - I honestly didn’t want to work (think) that hard😂, which is why I really appreciate that you do so much of the mental heavy lifting for me!
I read the lyrics to each song as I was listening, which was helpful. “Come Back to Me” is probably my favorite, and I really liked the collabs too. I have not been a fan of alternative music, but I also wasn’t into rap before the Rap Line made me a believer! So I will listen to RPWP many more times, and who knows? Maybe another fan of the genre is born!💜

Namjoon is back in his alternative underground roots. So cool, and I’m sure cathartic for him. J-Hope is also exploring his roots in dance and Jimin confronting his demons in FACE. Each of them are experimenting with their true selves and it’s awesome to see. Namjoom it seems has a lot of pressure built up and he is blowing the top off with this album. I can’t help but think the time they spend in the military will be very beneficial for each of them. They have certainly led very far from normal lives, that only the 7 of them can understand.

I am a careful buyer and do not usually “pre-order” things. But in RM’s case, I felt comfortable preordering as soon as it was possible because I was confident whatever direction he decided to take would have high artistic quality and be worth experiencing. You should also comment, if not digest on the V-Live conversation between RM and Jimin. RM explained the whole Album. According to RM, the song Lost is the noise and voice bothering his mind, being the the leader of BTS. He was loving it and yet hating himself for being trapped in such situation and, although he can let go anytime, and yet he could not dare to let go [of BTS] because they [ all the members] are so damn wonderful people to be with.
And, Jimin said, "I got you [even if you do not say it] yet you did an excellent job. We know it was difficult and that your were struggling alot. We, your members, and the ARMY are very grateful and proud of you."
Jimin added, "(in paraphrase) I knew that you were struggling but I could only wait for you to really talk about it. Am grateful that you invited me here. I hope next time, you'll be more open to me. I may not be the help you may need but I can surely be ready to listen to you anytime. Talking it out can help you get out of that troubling maze inside your head. Am glad you are able to out pour that in this Album like I did in my Face Album."
(In paraphrase) Jimin somewhat said to RM, "Sharing our personal struggle with the members and to ARMY is such a great relief. You know and I don't see no wrong about that. And, in fact, I would know when you, members, are going through alot emotionally and you do not even have to say a word about it. But, I dare not ask until you open it up. I do understand "space".
(In paraphrase on Jimin) Most of the time ARMY would get it (our difficulties) and, so outpouring it in our music, will afford ARMY relate to it as they too go through difficulty like us. And, listening and experiencing this Album [which to Jimin is like a novel] mighy be a great relief to ARMY too. For sure, they (ARMY) will love it too like your other Albums.

I love your analysis... and i love the way Namjoon always makes us think... I feel that he so accurately portrayed a person feeling lost and trapped within their own brain, where they just feel trapped no matter which way they turn or what persona they wear... And they feel like an alien or imposter even within themselves... you are viewing yourself in the third person... There is no exit out of your own brain, and when it's noisy and disjointed in there you get lost... there is just too much going on mentally for it even to make sense.... the music gives a sense of him floating us above it all, giving us an almost relaxed upbeat hug? While allowing us glimpses into his mind.
Extremely vulnerable to be this honest... also very daring (in KPop terms)
I hope this album was cathartic for him and that he feels no longer an imposter in his own mind, but the main (and most deserving) hero in his journey as Namjoon.

🤓 l thought before hearing or seeing the video, it was as he stated Lost. Meaning he has been lost in his life. I just watched the album exchange with Jimin. He came to Namjoon's house and what else with food 😁 to listen to the new music. Namjoon stated that, it was about a period of time , he felt the wait of the many roles he was playing in his life. How people thought of him, and feeling like he couldn't say what he really felt at times. He even talked about the circus around them going into the military. He would be out in public and people not knowing it was him. He could hear people talking about them and what they thought of it. It's a very good exchange between Jimin and Namjoon, Jimin also expressed feelings of being lost and having his own hard times. As band mates, but as just people. I really like the two songs that I've heard and I got the chance to hear a few other songs. I think 🤔 this is going to be a great album 👍 and visually enjoyable. He has a lot to unpack in his mind and I'm interested to see what's inside Namjoon's suite cases 🥰🎵

To be really really honest, I loved the album! I am not saying this just because I am an ARMY but I think his past works have prepared me for RPWP! I am truly enjoying streaming the album! I think Namjoon has raised/changed my standards of good music and if that's the case, I have another reason to thank BTS!💜

Agree. Nothing has done more to elevate & expand my musical standards than discovering BTS and their individual mixtapes/albums. Particularly Namjoon’s and Yoongi’s (maybe because they have the most songs), but each of them has gotten me to try/learn something new about music (and about myself).

I remember watching Amygdala over and over, my jaw dropping. Now your analysis and the comments: "Murakami; German and French films, etc," have me doing it again with Lost. Maybe the MV is a distillation of what Namjoon and BTS are, and always were, the essence of S. Korea and by extension, of our confusing, changing world. Next month, Jin will start gathering kindling and soon (but not soon enough) Hobi, RM, JK, SUGA, V, and Jimin will strike a match. BULTAOREUNE!!

I love the absurdity in this MV. It expresses so well this feeling of not understanding the world or yourself well, like when you are in a phase where you feel totally lost. Like when you feel like nothing makes sense, that your thoughts and emotions are contradictory, and that you are losing your mind.
I really loved the whole album, not only because it is artistically interesting but also because I genuinely enjoy this kind of alternative sound. I am already listening to it again and again 💜

I think RM’s album requires conscious effort on the the listener’s part at first. I felt lost and confused by the complexity of the musical sound scape when I first played it while getting ready in the morning. This is an album you cannot rush. It is not easy listening, fast food for the ears. You have to give it attention. After listening to it 3-4 times It started to become strangely addictive and invigorating. 24 hours later I can say that this is my favorite BTS solo work. The experience is like walking through MOMA. RM ‘s brain is truly that of a Genius.

This video made me cry.. RM is telling us they have been hurting mentally.. Please listen.. Don't you hear his cry for help.. BTS has come through a lot.. Then there are also the unexpected political demands that are put on BTS. I believe the political component was a surprise to them. And they just want to focus on the art of the music business not to become a type of mascot for politicians.. Then you have the other entities riding their coattail, using them.. Surely, they are surrounded by many temptations.
To me, the political business works the same as anyone who uses "abuse of power".. If seduction doesn't work, then we can play on their sympathy for the country or their family. This entity is hard to escape. Basically, they are being pulled in 100's of directions.. Some are under their control while others are out of their control..
I do not want them to end up like for example Michael Jackson... 7 artists loved by the world but miserable, lonely, worrying about what others think of them, with all kinds of social phobias from allowing the world to control their personal life..
I want each member to do what is best for their mental health... I want them to feel free.. I want them to enjoy what they are doing.. I want them to have a blessed life and if they choose.. get married, have a family and children.. At this point, as ARMY we have to support their personal choices as well.. That's what family does.. When they return, let them see a mature ARMY. The girl that is understanding, compromising but with good suggestions, who's patient, supportive and loving..

Does pain give birth to art? When each of the members has shared insight in to his struggles, hurts, and heartaches, each seems to rise like a phoenix and create ever more glorious music. I am dumbfounded that BTS has so much trust in ARMY. Can you even imagine sharing your innermost sanctums of your soul to millions? More love being sent their way!

It's totally artistic and poetic but it is also the very real feeling of RM. A mini doc/interview/album listening with Jimin just dropped this morning. Mini moni you have to watch it. There is so many answers to the album. Jimin was the perfect person to be his side. My heart hurt for RM but we as ARMY and his members will be there for him. This is a new chapter for everyone and it seems that everyone has had alot to say about themselves they never could before Jimin in Face JHOPE in Jack in the box and Suga in his D Day trilogies and RM and his 2 albums. I'm in so much awe of them. Miss them so much and can't wait to see what comes next.

Thank you for the great analysis it has helped me a lot, plus the wonderful comments from your viewers. I watched the Jimin/RM interview and I must admit it helped me to see it from his perspective. I think we have sometimes failed to see the massive pressure on Namjoon as a leader and all the members for just being who they are. I love the fact in this solo era they are all doing things that they like and wanted to do and the fact that the Army have embraced it all.
J Hope has been exploring and reflecting about himself in both of his albums and Namjoon has done the same but more in depth in this one. Yoongi went all out in his album and tour and Jimin expressed himself in his album showing us a different side to his music which was brilliant. Taehyung showed us himself in his album, his love of music and Jungkook who has always loved pop did what he loved best. We eagerly await what Jin will have to offer after the taster that The Astronaut was. Can you imagine what is in store for us next year when all of these brilliant talents will get together again. I am glad they have had the opportunity to be able to express themselves in their individual music and grateful that they are with a company that has faith enough in them to let them explore and express.

If you go to Bangtan TV channel, there is a video of RM and Jimin and they are talking about the video and the music.
He asks Jimin to listen to each song and they talk about each one and what RM was meaning in each one.
Its a diary of what he felt and how he saw things going on with him for the last few years.
He covers it very nicely as to how he felt thru the years.
I was very hsppy to see thst thru it all he has come out and is trying to understand it and let the fans know.
I've always said that from the age of 14 he was under alot of stress and he was doing his best to do what he felt was right to do.
He talks about how much of a struggle within his self he was in. I love the album, he is growing as a person and i just hope he is healthy and happy.

To be honest, I have listened to the songs on the album and feel a little lost too. I will have to go through each song methodically listed in order and maybe there is an answer there. I do see Come Back To Me as the last song which I feel is the whole answer to the album. He wants to come back to the real Namjoon after all these years of being what others expected and responsibilities he has had to perform to be successful. However, that being said, I don't get the music part, but I understand this is another choice and of music taste and reaches a different group of people. LOST - is what it is titled, random thoughts. I'm just as lost as he is in this video and I think he leaves it open ended for us to figure out. It seems to me he is coming up from the bottom to reality. We all get lost inside our thoughts with exagerations while trying to live a normal life and we lose a little of ourselves when we give to others, but more importantly we grow or mature more in life to handle situations. And, we all need to step back so we do not lose/or rather do not get lost in the sauce so to speak. Stay true to yourself. Notice the last song on the album is Come Back To Me, the album is full circle from lost to coming back the Real Me/RM where he escapes it all to become himself again after all these years of creating. I think even the choice of music style is so different that it makes us feel lost too, it is not the usual genre we expect from Namjoon but I guess it fits his mind sense for the album. Twisted, isn't he?

Totally agree with this view. I've seen a lot of comments on the Lost! MV berating ARMY for not keeping up with NJs' streams. But the point is, this isn't a song you just stream and stream mindlessly. It's not throwaway pop. I first gave it a listen, thought 'hmm, not sure', gave it a little while, then came back listened again and thought about it. Third time, a little while later again, I fell in love with it and listened to the whole album, which is excellent. So really it's music that you need to savour,.

I hope you react to his listening video with Jimin. When they first announced the video of him and Jimin listening to the album, I was annoyed we couldn't just go ahead and have that pre-view. NOW however I am glad that we were left to live with the music for over a day before hearing their comments. It really does take several listens to start to appreciate it. AND WOW.... do I now appreciate it. Honestly on first listen I thought... "WHAT have you done Namjoon?! Did I REALLY pre-order the set of this?! WHO let you do this?!" I didn't mean that anyone controls him... but who didn't say to him. HEY... This is too weird to sell! But as I listened more it grew and grew in my heart and mind. NOW I think WOW... I wish you had done this BEFORE! Jimin made an astute observation that when RM made Indigo it felt like he was burying his thoughts and feelings. But in this album he's really explored them. And Namjoon agreed that now he feels much lighter. He thought he'd feel that way after Indigo and didn't. Jimin asked him what he thinks about going back to that when they get back together and RM admitted it would be hard but he now thinks he is stronger.

I love RM’s fearlessness to explore and compose something in a rarely tread direction. Its typical of him and I congratulate and encourage him to keep going. This is how icons push into new frontiers for everyone else to follow, whisper and tentatively tip toe in far behind him when it’s safe to. Typical RM style, the journey is so important and he’ll walk every step on foot, while everyone else will wait for the bus and not learn anything. No wonder BTS songs are thought provoking and have different levels to them.

RM AND JIMIN GOT TOGETHER TO EXPLAIN RM'S ALBUM AND IT REALLY HIT HOME. HE IS SO HONEST AND SINCERE OF HOW HE WAS FEELING AND HE LET IT ALL OUT IN THIS ALBUM AND FOR NOW HE FEELS OK. ONCE THEY COMO BACK THE PRESSURE WILL COME BACK BUT HE SAID THAT HE WILL BE STRONGER TO FACE HIS ROLL AS A LEADER. HE ALSO SAID THAT SOMETIMES WE ARE THE RIGHT PERSON IN A CERTAIN PLACE AND SOMETIMES WE ARE THE WRONG PERSON IN A CERTAIN PLACE WHERE WE FEEL THAT WE DON'T BELONG AND THIS KIND OF LIVE GOES ROUND AND ROUND. AND IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF US, LIKE FEELING LOST AND SOMETIMES FEELS LIKE WE ARE THE RIGHT PERSON AND OTHER TIMES WE FEEL WE ARE THE WRONG PERSON. HE ALSO SAID THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF JERKS IN THIS WORLD AND IF WE SPEND OUR TIME LISTENING TO WHAT OTHERS WANTS US TO DO WE WILL NEVER DO WHAT WE WANT US TO DO. SO HE IS LETTING GO TO WHAT OTHERS WANT FROM HIM AND NOW HE IS GOING TO DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO. HE WAS REALLY HAVING A HARD TIME UNTIL WE MEET SOMEONE I DON'T REMEMBER HIS NAME AND TOLD HIM TO RELEASE AND ALBUM WITH HIS STORY ONLY AND LET IT ALL OUT OF HOW HE WAS FEELING AND THAT IS WHAT HE DID. HE ALSO FELT GUILTY BECAUSE HE WAS SUPPOSE TO ENLIST WHEN JHOPE ENLISTED AND HE PUT IT ON HOLD TO RELEASE HIS FEELING IN THIS ALBUM AND NOW HE FEELS BETTER. IT WAS VERY TOUCHING. JIMIN TOLD HIM THAT HE DID NOT HAD TO GO TO HARD TIMES LIKE THAT AND THAT JIMIN AND THE OTHER MEMBERS WILL BE THERE FOR HIM IF HE EVER GO THRU HARD TIMES AGAIN AND JIMIN ALSO OFFER HIMSELF IF HE NEEDS HELP, HE WILL HELP HIM. This is only a few things that he said, it really brought me to tears knowing he was going thru so much. Hope you see the video it's out here in TH-cam and see what you think so you can give us your thoughts. Thank you so much for having such a great channel I totally appreciate it. I agree with what you have said but I also feel like he was feeling stuck and not able to keep branching out. This break did wonders for each of the members and what’s more it did a lot for Namjoon. I think you are amazing!! Thank you so much for this. I love your interpretations. It helped me a lot cause I’m really LOST actually 😅
I also wanna thank you for saying what I’m thinking the whole time . RMs music and also Jhopes isn’t for the masses. They do their own thing. So of course it doesn’t sell as well as the others who make poppier music. ( also who have more individual fans )
I think we need to change our perspective a bit to not view RMs ( or Hobis ) albums as a failure or as if Armys didn’t support them just cause it’s not as much as the other members. Looking at the numbers objectively it’s insane that RM sold 500 k+ already. That’s a huge amount. He’s also a million seller now. Only a few solo artists did that in Korea so far. So RM is still doing really well. If we keep on seeing the negative only it will not push motivation a lot 🫠

When I began my journey down the BTS rabbit hole, I was amazed at their talents as performers. The MVs were spectacularly beautiful, and the lyrics were so meaningful... but what truly made me a full-fledged fan was their Blood, Sweat & Tears video (& also reactors' comment sections). It was this fantastic university level philosophy class discourse. I knew then I had found my people😁💜.
I thank NamJoon for sharing that beautiful brain of his & being brave enough to share it with the world in such a provocative way. Every time I listen to the album, I get a little giddy as my rusty prefrontal cortex get challenged again.
I am so happy that our 7 have had this time to explore their individualities. It can be a scary journey, but a crucial one for one's development & transition to full-on adulthood. I am so grateful they are sharing parts of their journeys through this time with us..... I'm feeling a bit like a proud Mama right now🥹😁💜

I love this album! I now understand why Joon was so excited about it. I read a review (can't remember where it was from) and the reviewer didn't like it, because he felt it wasn't what you would expect from RM. When I read that, my first thought was, duh, that was Namjoon's intent. I feel like the whole point of the album went completely over the reviewer's head. When I listened to the album the first time I knew there would be a lot if people who didn't like/get it. I also think that Namjoon knew that would happen, but didn't care. Well, I think he cares, but knew that the people who did get it would really love it. In my opinion, the whole album reflects the discordant thoughts going through his brain, from the random lyrics to the music/cords. I can relate to that! My favorite song on Indigo is Change pt 2, so RPWP really resonates with me. I absolutely love this man and his big sexy brain! Everything he releases is a masterpiece.

I was lost like the song title so I truly thank you for your interpretation. I have much respect for Namjoon and I'll continue to support him, the group and their individual projects!
This is the least I could do for all that BTS has done for myself and millions of others!

I always watch your videos, especially those about BTS; I learn a lot from you, Thank you for your reaction to "Lost". I, too, was of the opinion that "Lost" was about RM's random thoughts and I could not figure out what they meant. But you gave coherence and clarity to those random thoughts. Maraming salamat.

The album is fascinating and disturbing. It's like snippets of RMs stream of consciousness. 💜 Why do I love it? I'm not sure... 😅😂
