No. Although I sometimes wish I continued playing, I like to concentrate my efforts, and I couldn’t do a lot of other things (including playing guitar) well if I continued to spread my time over the several other things I “like” doing, vs doing the few things I “love” doing.
@@KamaJiuJitsu I appreciate that, but it’s food for thought, sir. I teach vocals & guitar & sculpt & produce products. Something has to giveaway, for me to have the attention, for mental focus. In time, I’m sure I’ll find my Complete tool belt. Balance, right?
That depends on what you want. Some people value the Jack of all trades thought. Me, I’m of the specialist mindset. Both are valid and neither is absolutely better, but for individuals, one is relatively better than another. I’d venture a guess that your “specialty,” is music. “Need to know vs good to know.” Here’s an old video on that thought within Jiu-Jitsu. th-cam.com/video/Yk16BNnOOYg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MctGzSufbZAuJi0X
Spazzy white belt wrestlers who just start jiujitsu are why my shoulders messed im sure. " Training" at 90 percent strength when you know 5% technique is dangerous. Not a fan of rolling with these types.
These days, there are a great variety of people to train with in any academy. All ages, all sizes, all performance levels. Jacking joints up sucks. Makes practitioners reevaluate whether Jiu-Jitsu is “worth it,” sadly.
The best rolls are where you feel like you’re in the matrix with your opponent.
Good stuff, thanks for posting 👊🏾
Excellent words!
Good explanation 👍
Good video, thanks!
Great video
Thank you!
Stay away from New comer & white belt 😂
Ah yes when I go to bjj I lose my sense of self. I have no idea where I end and where my partner begins.
Thank you, for making this relatable. Jiu Jitsu is such a beautiful art form. Especially, for us weaklings.
On a side note:
Still playing guitar?

@@KamaJiuJitsu With that being said, I better set my guitar to the side, then.
🤣
I didn’t mean THAT for YOU!
