@@vibeofthee80s_ but all these years later and he gets more attention than any of the other Loch Ness Monster hunters. It's pretty much been established that there is no monster so Frank created one, he was right all along and made the most of the mystery for his own gain. RIP Frank.
The working man must NEVER rise above his station.... I love Frank and his endurance in the face of snobbery. This was a brilliant documentary, had me till the end. Human nature is strange.
I have to say, just starting to watch it-this is visually stunning. Fantastic loch cinematography, some of the most beautiful and haunting imagery I’ve ever seen in a Loch Ness documentary. Thank you for sharing this with us.
To be fair, practically every picture of "the monster" have been faked or were cases of mistaken identity. As a kid though, all those gothic black and white pictures of humps and necks really lit up my imagination.
Thank you Andy, I had seen Frank in Rod Serlings, "Monsters, Mysteries, and Myths" from about 1976 and wondered about him. This put everything together. Wonderful interviews, photos, and personal stories. Now how about Tim Dinsdale? 🐍😃
Enjoyed that! My brother and I met him when we were kids. He was quite chatty. This was a little while after the Sunday mail expose. Remember him telling my dad how the paper had stitched him up!
I knew Frank well, when he left Scotland he came to stay at our house for 8 weeks, then left to live in the bed sit he got,he left Scotland driving a series3 swb land rover towing a small camping trailer.i even knew who faked his photos for him.mr Searle.
I like Adrian’s outlook, he has conducted a lot of research to scientifically assess different theories about ‘monster’ sightings. He acknowledges that most people 😅 aren’t actively lying, they just don’t know what they’re seeing.
He definitely saw something that he dedicated his life to see again. Thank you for this documentary. I knew the 📸 photo's, Now i know if the man who took them 🙂
@thedesolateone yes thats true. I believe he saw something that suprised him to stay at the loch for years in frozen winters in a tent. He saw some kind of sea creature maybe, but i dont believe he saw a sea monster or any monster in lochness. But he was surely determinend to see it again on camera but went to far?
Thanks you - my parents brought me back the book to Australia when they were on holidays - - some bits are just laughable - curious on what had happened and now i know.
No man would stay in a tent at lochness for 7 to 10 years at least and all through those frozen winters that were cold enough to kill you unless he saw something that totaly convincend him that he saw some kind of sea creature and big enough too. As i have never believed there was any sea monters in lochness. Even from 7 to 13 feet long would be big enough to scare any one, plus 5 feet high and heavy at around 40 stone
HE DID NOT CAPTURE NESSY "HE TOOK SOME PHOTOS" THE DIFFERENCE BEING HE COULD HAVE DOCTERED THE PHOTOGRAPHS BUT IF HE HAD OF CAPTURED SOMETHING HE WOULD HAVE HAD ACTUAL PROOF.

What a terrible attack on that expert Nessie researcher. He did a better job than those who slander him. These fools are such good researchers that they can not come up with any evidence. Maybe because they spend their time whining about expert researchers instead of getting out in the field, which is required if you are going to find one.
@@salvagemonster3612 They are all prone to violent outbursts and do what ever dirty dog thing that they can do to claim that it is not real. Today's so-called experts are a joke! And they are hot headed dirty dogs too. Very violent.
The two guys fishing are probably my favorite part of this whole thing. 😂
Been binging these Loch Ness documentaries over the past few days, so glad to find this.
Just when you think that you’ve watched ALL the Nessie documentaries and then this one pops up! Great!! Thank you for sharing 💙🏴🤟🏻
I was just thinking the same, how did I not know about this bonus mystery of the loch ?

@vibeofthee80s_ If you haven’t already, then you need to watch 'Loch Ness: They Created A Monster' It's a fantastic documentary!

What's great is this is more of a documentary about Frank Searle than the monster, but still has things about Nessie sprinkled in.
The working man must NEVER rise above his station.... I love Frank and his endurance in the face of snobbery. This was a brilliant documentary, had me till the end. Human nature is strange.
WOW A LOCHNESS DOCUMENTARY I HAVENT SEEN..AM SHOCKED THANK YOU..
Me too
Plot twist it was nessie who made Frank dissappear
The monster got him.... 😁
He had to be silenced...
Adrian did it.
He went to England.
Been looking for this documentary for years it seems. Thanks for posting.

Been wanting to see this for years after reading about it on Roland Watson's excellent blog, and I am chuffed! Cheers!
Very good documentary Andrew, it is still highly entertaining. All the best.

I wouldn’t say EVERY picture but most of them are sadly.

Fantastic documentary!

Frank told my uncle about seeing the baby Nessies on the shores of Loch Ness
Frank pisses me off. Nobody has a monopoly on the mystery. And by faking it he blurred the mystery for everyone else.

This was so good
excellent, never seen that before. Thanks for sharing
Great docco cheers. Yer a good lad Andy
Fascinating I have never seen or heard of this! Thank you
Thanks for posting this, been looking for it for years. Frank was a legend.
And a nutcase.
And a liar liar pants on fire...
Let's Face it he wasnt anything other than a chancer, liar and in the end a violent conman
He was mad. I'm convinced he was the one who painted vile remarks towards Adrian Shine at Urquhart Castle.
My grandfather once lined an eel with a head as big as a sheep's in a irish bog...pond river ......but it broke the line ....back in the 1930s..!
Excellent very well done

Adrian Shine is so cool.
He is a nice person . I met him in the shop at Loch Ness when they were doing up the exhibition centre.

Frank or Adrian Shine ?
Adrian.
Frank, as Shines boring

Oh look at the young hunk Steve. He was like the Fabio of Loch Ness. I heard that is why Adrian got jealous and decided the monster was fake
Which is weird considering he changed his stance in recent years to my knowledge.
@@anonymousgoblin792 who? Adrian? Because I spoke to him about 13 months ago and he was firm there is nothing there
At least Adrian used scientific knowledge and existing evidence to conduct research and explain different ‘monster sightings’.

I heard the last photo Frank took was Nessie, Bigfoot, ET, and Santa Claus in a group photo 🤣
Plot Twist: Nessie ended up being the friends we captured along the way
I had never seen this doc but definitely one of the best.
I want to believe and there's one big problem there would have to be a 20 or more breeding population.
