      @@aedobrews3887 yes all going well thanks. I brewed space hopper west coast on a six day brew. Took your advice from your space hopper video. Wow it's still very lethal, and to me it tastes the same as you described, like fermented grapefruit juice. It's still nice enough but different to what I was expecting. Take care both

    did you turn your dial to zero on the pinter it looks like its at 1 ? white dot is at the 12o'clock position -- would this not make it go flat quicker

    Another great review,I think Pinter need a dry hopping method. The presses so far all lack hop profile. If this new tap works then hopefully the next innovation will be a dry hopping process,will be a game changer and compete against the bucket brew market

    Thanks for another great review, I always enjoy watching them. I am currently brewing roadie in a new p3🤞. I always put the hop oil in after I have undocked so will be interesting to see what it is like 😋🍺.

      Hi Roderick. Yes mate. I had an issue with my P3 tap and only got it fixed after putting the Pinter 3 on with a P2 tap!. More like 0.8 and done with this P2 😆.

    I like these kind of reviews with comparison 👍 are you saying it could be better by timing the hopper differently? Is it like a lager or does it have some character still?

    • @aedobrews3887
      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya Steff. Yes think it would have been more hoppy if I would have added it at undocking stage. Trial and error with these hop oils. It's like a very mild ipa crossed with a lager. Very nice by the way. Might even make it up the stairs to bed later lol.

    Mine is ready to drink tonight, I’m excited. Also my new taps are finally on their way too.
    I’m assuming you’ve used a Pinter 2.5 with a new tap for this?
    How many Pinter 3’s in total will you have?

    • @aedobrews3887
      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try not to use any 2.1 I have as they're rubbish. Still have a couple of 2's that I didn't send back thank goodness. 🙂. Good luck with the tasting later. Let me know how you get on

    • @michaelivil4905
      @michaelivil4905 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I also used a Pinter 2. 1 & Done baby.
      It’s nice, very subtle. A session beer if you will. But, not quite what we expected I think.
      So, is this the beer you tested before the Arsenal game?

      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Michael Ivil yes Mike and it was much more distinctive. Way better than either the real thing or what I've created. Somehow it's got changed when they've made it in bulk

    Hi when I purchased the new tap I got the new pressure release knob any idea how to fit as I noticed you still are using the original flat knob?

    • @aedobrews3887
      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David. The piece they send out with the tap is just the hopper port cover. Just unscrew the old metal one and insert this. It's really only used when cleaning. Unscrew, pop out the end, turn it over and screw in to open to hopper port and let water flush through. Once completed just reverse.

    I think when you meet Pinter that they need to understand that customers are not happy about the quality or the price. Its like when you buy a printer it comes cheap but they insist that you have to buy their ink. It is a great concept but now with all the restrictions with your warranty its Pinters way or no way. Pinter has to realise that if they are selling a product at premium prices that the quality should be premium as well, and it is not good quality, mediocre at best. They have and will continue to loose customers unless they realise that they have to do something.

    • @aedobrews3887
      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Be very interesting to see what their perspective is. Will be no behind the doors from me. No agenda either. Just want a quality product at a fair price

      Pinter is not losing customers. Their business is growing and continues to be on a very healthy growth track. If you don't like their system then fine, take your business someplace else...but you will be hard pressed to find an attractive alternative at this price. Perhaps you can just stick with Supermarket beer -- it doesn't really get any cheaper than that. In any case, Pinter is not going to miss you one bit. They put a ton of R&D expense into refining and improving their system, a system that is backed by a carefully curated selection of beer that is packaged in a way to work well with their system. Sales of the fresh press packs help to subsidize the development costs of the Pinter, and there is zero business incentive for them to sell you a Pinter for a mere pittance -- that they are probably barely breaking even on -- and then take on the burden of extending your warranty to cover usage outside of the Pinter ecosystem. And if you think the cost of a Pinter is premium then you truly are cheap and have no idea whatsoever about what real premium home brewing equipment costs. I know because I have two different systems: one for all-grain brewing that I paid more than $3,000 for, and another for a dry malt extract system sold by BrewArt (owned by Coopers DIY). It has a Wi-Fi enabled temperature controlled fermenter and beer kegging and dispensing system. It cost me $1,399. I got my Pinter for FREE, taking advantage of a recent promotional offer when I purchased 8 fresh press packs. In the UK The Pinter sells for £99, and I see people frequently getting one for £79. This is a tiny sum of money for a system that starts out as a fermentation vessel and then when fermentation is complete converts into a serving vessel that you put in the fridge.

    I am the same as you guys I put the hop oil in before the cold crash and I leave it till the bottle is empty but I have noticed when its conditioning I am getting hop oil in the bottom of my fridge anyone else found this

    • @aedobrews3887
      @aedobrews3887  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Scott. If its just oil then it's been trapped between bottle and entering the Pinter. Leave the bottle in for 5 mins whilst hopping

  • @ianhall8433
    @ianhall8433 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I found it disappointingly bland. Drinkable but not much to it. I did the same putting the hopper in before a long CC so maybe that’s where all the flavour went?

      I tasted this at Pinter HQ on a visit and it was lovely. Maybe Hopper in at the end would have been better but it still lacks any depth of character 🤔
