Chris your new irons look amazing. Can't wait to see how they perform on the course. Also love the behind the scenes on how they were built...Great job. God Bless brother
Touras are fantastic clubs! Toura is a Canadian company. I have the MB version of these same clubs. They're hand made and ground in Japan from S25C (God's steel). These clubs are made by Kyoei golf and sold to Toura. A full set of heads runs around $700 USD. Kyoei is right up there with Miura as far as craftsmanship and prestige but not as well known. I go back and forth between the Touras and Maltbys. Both world class!
Had my first ever customer fitting, I was fitted with the Callaway Apex TI Fusion irons with graphite shafts. Amazing experience and clubs are preforming great.
I recently got fitted for clubs, and the best one for ME were Titleist T-350 irons 6-48, Titleist TSR 1 hybrid 3-4-5, TSR 1 driver and three wood. The shafts in the irons were STEELFIBER 80 regular, woods/hybrids hazardous 5.0 regular. 73 years old, obviously the last set I’ll ever buy😀 absolutely love them.
Chris, we see a lot of videos about club fitting, but a lot of people can’t afford a club fitting and new clubs. How much on top of the cost of the clubs does a fitting cost?
Generally I think it’s more important that you have the correct shafts. Whether it be lighter/heavier weight or different material ie steel or graphite. Heads seem to make small improvements every year but I would say it would be 5-10 years before a significant difference.
@ChrisDennisGolf thx Chris. Thought that. Ill probably exchange after about 4 if I can. Club shafts are a kicker - generation or not. Focus should be there perhaps. Have a great 2025. AND many thanks for a reply. Many others - take note
I think sggt is great and I've had a look at them for a driver or wedge fitting but unless you're the type of golfer who spends thousands each year on new gear I'm not sure it's viable. I would say 200 an iron all in which is way above most people.
I GOT FIY AT PXG FOR 4 CLUB FITTING IN 2023 AND WILL PLAY THM TILL I DIE !!! THEY WERE MY RETIREMENT PRESENT 2 YEARS AGO ! I HAVE NO DESIRE YO BUY ANYTHING !!!
i expect Toura going the same branding route thru YT as Takomo paved. They are same pricepoint and perfect for us hobby clubbuilders, as they like Takomo also sell heads only..so probably gonna see alot of "takomo vs Toura" vids from creators in 2025

Nice irons Chris and that was innteresting to see the building process as well. Going to fun to see you game them against James.

Well done Chris a think graphite shafts will be the norm in future 👍 😊

Was that grassmoor golf at the beginning of video .?
The head Toura is beautyful
How is the sound of the head ?
How much cost the build of the Shaft to the head ?
Good play with your new head
Just a question about durability, bag rash?, would this be an issue?
I will be interested to see and keep you up dated on this
What’s the cost of the build on these

When comparing those 8 irons you might want to to compare their lofts. Don't just go by the number stamped on the head.
James has taken to the drink now he won’t beat you again 😂
Question: Do the angles change over time with repeated hitting and will they need to be re-bent back to spec ??
I have a set of 5x forged PXG Gen 3 irons which are incredibly soft and they need re-bending back to the correct loft and lie for me every few months.
What did they cost?
I’m tipping a lot 😢
I think it said D3.5 and nIne and PW are D3.8.
Chris, can you be honest with us. How long should we wait b4 upgrades, generally? Advances in club head must be less than the shafts too?

Was wondering the same thing
Beauties.
Those Wilson irons barely lasted a hot minute.
Now it’s Tora Tora Tora
