Cheetahs are definitely my favorite out of the large cats, I don't care what anyone says about them being "weak" or "pushovers" they still have one of the highest hunting success rate. 50/50, that's more than lions and leopards.
@Ayeshaxch33tah I honestly don’t know when it’s happened but I was just saying, in the history of human existence, lions have killed humans. I’m sure it’s extremely rare though. These particular cats probably haven’t killed anyone though. They’re in a fence after all.
This footage is hard to watch for the sake of the poor wildebeest, but it is impressive footage and just remarkable how the cheetahs coordinate and use teamwork to get their dinner. I'm just happy I'm not a wildebeest.
@@tbirdboy Oh yes. Makes me thankful that at least we humans sacrifice the poor cows as quickly as possible to eat our burgers and steaks. In a strange way, domestic livestock probably have it easier than these wildebeest.
I feel sad for wildebeests because of the look in their eyes when they've been caught and know it's their end. It never fails to make me feel for them. But cheetahs are my favourite African wildcat, and they struggle immensely to survive. They are always targeted by bigger cats, and their meals are always stolen since they're so small. They also don't get a meal every time they go out hunting, so all the energy they spend running goes to waste. So I'm happy that this group managed to strike a big meal.
If it makes you feel any better, the wildebeast probably didn't experience as much pain as you might imagine because its body probably went into shock.

at least cheetahs worked out their eating order : some of them are eating and some chasing away hyenas and then they switch . Lionesses often cannot do that the simple switch and have to abandon the kill. Of course there is no problem if one or 2 huge male lions are at dinner table, noone dares approach them, they can eat in peace and their own pride members have to ask politely : can I take a bite, please... ? Sometimes they are allowed, sometimes they have to wait until males are full.
Have a constant argument with my cousin, a zoologist. He says cheetahs are at a dead end evolution wise. But I think they can become permanent pack animals. Instead of these all male coalitions. And females going of solo. He still says it’s impossible. But I am being optimistic. As their population shrinks. Freak adaptation to survive will win out. I hope.
