The people still coming here are desparate. REALLY desparate. (or they have family). For the people with decent skills it's not worth it. Cost of living is not in line with inflation. STEM based jobs are terrible and pay a fraction compared to other countries. People doing manual labour in many cases make more money. Housing market is starting to go bonkers because of corrupt politicians with multiple investment properties manipulating laws to increase prices of houses. People can barely buy houses and rents are high. There are nurses and other professionals LIVING IN TENTS because of how bad housing supply is.... on that front, it's even worse than India...where if you atleast have middle class money you can still get a place to live...INSTEAD OF A TENT. Crime is rising because of broken laws where criminals are released multiple times on bail. Also because there is a growing drug epidemic and bad mental health. Turn on the news, even today there were multiple knife attacks in Melbourne. There's also growing number of home invasions and car jackings.... Racism is still live and well. I was walking through the mall and some 12 yo boy did an apu accent. A literal kid.... There are 100x worse violent incidents too. Public transport is crumbling with the weight of population growth. Locals are hostile towards migrants because of said growth and the struggling housing market, with the media putting blame mostly on migrants instead of corrupt politicans. The list goes on and on, and I would not raise a family here. Especially when there are other countries offering to pay me more and there are more options if I want to stop working and start my own business. This place was only good if you came here 10-20 years ago.
High migration caused the problem in the first place. It caused the cost of living crises. Housing crises and inflation driving up property market. Doctors shortage as too many people comming in and surtain sections off employment not getting field. Many migrants are getting low paid transport and supermarkets positions. And not as many in the skilled positions. Has caused a lot of unemployment. Having a woke government and business people who don't like to pay. They all use people like slave to their system. And it's destroying Australia
India is such a great place that curbs have to put on them entering certain countries, eg, NZ. They reduce their own wages and opportunities competing for few jobs in large numbers, in a low population country, and then blame racism, when they are the greatest exponents of it. Most countries would be grateful if the bulk of them returned,

Agree with what you said, salary might increased 1 dollar an hour every year, so after 10 years you will just get extra 2000 dollar a year, but inflation already well exceeds that, in addition, the amount of tax we pay is insane, and if you are not the most poor, you get no benefits but just to work your ass off
Understand all that you say. But i am curious to know about other factors like cost and quality of education, quality of air, water. Law and order on road. Here in india a good school will cost 3-9 lacs per annually. How much is in Australia? Here in hyd or banaglore a decent house will cost 2-5 crores. And roads and commute to office is pathetic. And how much is a good car in Australia? Here in india its insanely taxed. Also we pay 20-30 % income tax in india and then again pay taxes separately on everything. And then we get crumbling infrastructure. Is it also same in Australia? Like falling off bridges and flyovers. Just curious if we are really better or Australia is over hyped.
Reverse migration has happened every time there been a serious slump in Australia. People go to Australia for money and when that goes so do they. The Australian lifestyle, urban environment , weather and ecology are nothing special unless you’re interested in rugged, dry landscapes.

FYI i am saying this after living studying and working in Australia for 15 years and my wife has been in Australia for 7 years
To be honest Australia is already struggling and we don't need extra people in the country. It's now impossible for young people born in the country to buy a house and find a job. Not to mention the amount of damage all the extra people does to our already strained environment. I don't hate Indians but I think that we need to be careful how many we allow in. I've worked in many countries and it's almost impossible to get work permits, I feel it should be the same for foreigners coming to Australia too
I wanted to pursue higher studies in Australia. But couldn't go there due to financial problems. In 2007. I still wish to visit there as tourist and travel all around Australia. My cousin works for bank in Melbourne
Thanks for the video. I don't totally agree. Admit, there are some issues here and everyone blames the government, but the government has a tough job to administer the country and keep everyone happy. India is still very behind. The press makes out that the economy is booming but every time I go to India, at least a dozen people ask me to take them back to Australia. I see a lot of people on the street begging. There is a lot of bribery and poverty there. If you are a superior class or have some money, then it is ok to live in India,I guess. I was born in India and migrated to Australia in 1969. Remember, when one truly migrates to another country, then it means that the new country becomes your new home. You have to learn to take the bad with the good. There should't be talk about "back home" because this is home. Its all in the mind. Don't migrate if you have that attitude. Anyway, I guess you have your opinion and I have mine. So, that's cool!!
Why can't you guys accept other opionins??? How can you say something is good and another thing is bad??? I get emotional thinking about how devoted they were to me. And of course, Australians and Indians love cricket. At the Bradman Museum at Bowral a decade ago I had a picnic on the grass with my aged mother. Settled next to us on a blanket was a young Indian family that adored Sir Donald Bradman from afar when back home in India and made something of a pilgrimage to the ground where his a career began. Their love for Sir Donald grew into a love for their new home in Australia. How could we not love them in return?

In India especially Bengaluru the quality of life is getting bad due to shortage of water. The burgeoning population in India is threat to the quality of life. The cities in India are congested and there is absolute lack of Urban planning and haphazard growth of cities. My honest assessment. Small towns in India seem to be better. India needs to curb petty corruption, pollution and curb the population growth. The Modi government is doing its best to improve the infrastructure in India but growing population is hindering the economic growth of India and making the quality of life poor for an average Indian. The electricity infrastructure seems to be improving as there seems to be less power cuts but water is a challenge.
I don't completely agree. Housing crisis and cost of living is true. However, the quality of life - infrastructure, safety, water, electricity, transportation, ease of life, work life balance is not comparable. There is a misconception that grass is always greener on the other side. So people in australia think india is a better place to live But in reality in new delhi a person smokes 10 cigarettes daily whether child old and young kid due to pollution according to national report .there are taxes like europe and services like Afghanistan half of the people with bachelor degree are unemployed and those employed earns 5 to 6 lpa only with 10% of tax. A average house rent in big cities like in Gurgaon banglore are 20000 to 50000 and living expenses touching to 60k per month. Avg college fees for bachelor degree is 25 lakhs normally and a good private school costs 2 to 3 lakhs annually. Here in india inflation is also rising and unemployment is also there. Australia is good for either poor or very rich people - the poor live off government handouts and rich have organised to be self reliant - it’s the middle income group that suffers the most they work hard pay high taxes and get very little benefit from the government as they aren’t poor enough- if you are well settled in India or any other country stay there and make the most with your own family- not worth migrating specially to Australia and lastly Australia is one of the highest taxed country with a high rate of crime due to a weak legal system

Which are the other countries who are willing to pay more?
High migration caused the problem in the first place. It caused the cost of living crises. Housing crises and inflation driving up property market. Doctors shortage as too many people comming in and surtain sections off employment not getting field. Many migrants are getting low paid transport and supermarkets positions. And not as many in the skilled positions. Has caused a lot of unemployment. Having a woke government and business people who don't like to pay. They all use people like slave to their system. And it's destroying Australia

So true!.

Are you still in Australia or already back in India ? Or is this a deterrence for new comers ? Each individual has his/her own opinions so better not discuss or self opine. To be honest Australia is already struggling and we don't need extra people in the country. It's now impossible for young people born in the country to buy a house and find a job. Not to mention the amount of damage all the extra people does to our already strained environment. I don't hate Indians but I think that we need to be careful how many we allow in.

Please stay, beautiful Indian people. I had a life threatening illness last year and in hospital, one of my nurses was Indian and I had two Indian surgeons.

@@patrickwilliamson29 Yeah, wrong to over generalise. But I'm not sure compassion it is a characteristic of modern Australian clinical practice. For many it is just a job. Same for doctors. What I observed from this Indian nurse was exceptional. Ahimsa may have had something to do with it.
@@SvendBosanvovski maybe for some but you don't do a 6 year degree and accumulate a large amount of debt as well as being paid low wages because it's just a job.
Health care is amazing in Australia and affordable if you are PR/Citizens.

There is a misconception that grass is always greener on the other side. So people in australia think india is a better place to live
But in reality in new delhi a person smokes 10 cigarettes daily whether child old and young kid due to pollution according to national report .there are taxes like europe and services like Afghanistan half of the people with bachelor degree are unemployed and those employed earns 5 to 6 lpa only with 10% of tax. A average house rent in big cities like in Gurgaon banglore are 20000 to 50000 and living expenses touching to 60k per month. Avg college fees for bachelor degree is 25 lakhs normally and a good private school costs 2 to 3 lakhs annually.
