That's for me personally sad to see. Like I understand, that RPG's are just more popular among the "common folk", so of course it sells better than a parkour, social stealth adventure game, but still.
Like at least they still kinda tried to replicate the old gameplay with Mirage (still wasn't perfect, but definitely better then previous three) and the underappreciated Nexus VR game. The VR game is actually amazing. It really felt like a game from the Ezio era... just in VR(which isn't a bad thing)(and it's not just because Ezio's there. Even the Kassandra missions were really fun, because it played like the older games)

It's actually facts tho. The new games might be bad, but they sold a lot more than the older titles. Valhalla especially is the most sold ac title atm I believe.
given the fact that the newer games moved in a more rpg-friendly environment more geeks are interested in the game which spikes the sales up
like, odyssey had no ounce of AC and it still Sold so well because it's an RPG game so it attracts more people

Not everything is about nostalgia buddy. The RPG games areant bad. But they need a lot of work. There are reasons why BOTW, TOTK and Witcher 3 are such good RPG'S. But the RPG's from ac are getting close. But they are missing key elements. Like relation with your raven clan. The NPC'd having daily rooteen. In vallhala that girl by the map is only there the whole game. Plus modern day was getting weird before Basim came to safe the day.
The reason why the older games are better is because of the amazing writting and voice acting. Not saying the ones in rpg are bad. I understand they are massive games. But the paising is over the place and just many activeties feel like chores. Like grinding tons of exp in odd is getting old fast. Orgins had it perfectly balanced. But this all is just my opinion. I would like to hear yours why you think everyone is blinded and why you think the recent rpg games of ac franchise are great
Ps: i love playing ac orgins and odd. But odd got me bored due to many exp grind.

the problem is some of you guys cant cope with high end mechanics of modern gaming . That's why you all will keep on moaning when a new AC game is released .
@@griddy_celebration i don't. I like the games. Like i said. Only problem i have is just the grindy xp and many of the same missions. Nothing more. Plus if people don't like te modern games. We always can go back to play the older games.
@@griddy_celebrationSince when have critics ratings matter? Critics hate black myth wukong yet the people love it and yesterday black myth wukong has 2.2 million players playing on steam. Critics also hated stellar blade. All the rpg games other than origins are terrible.
@@griddy_celebrationAc valhalla was you playing as a god dang viking, and you may as oh well younplay as a pirate in ac black flag. Yeah you do but unlike in ac valhalla. EDWARD BECOMES A HIDDEN ONE! He actually becomes a assassin! Shocker right? Becoming a assassin in a assassin's creed game. Would have never thought. In ac odyssey the combat is terrible, even the most basic enemies take like 10 minutes to kill them. And when yiu do kill them you don't even get s cool kill animation, the enemies just fall over ragdolled. Hell odyssey doesn't even have the hidden ones in it because it takes place 2 thousand years before the hidden ones were created! You don't even have a hidden blade. You use a broken spear. Oh and let's not forget you can jump off a dang mountain and take no fall damage at all cause you are a demi God or something stupid. Weakest demi God I have ever see though. CAUSE IT TAKES A LITERAL HOUR TO KILL A GROUP OF BASIC ENEMIES.

Nah. The only good rpg game is ac origins. In odyssey you have to be cartain level to even stralth kill a caracter and if you arent he just eats that stab and alerts everyone and the combat is shit. The hunting in the game is shit. Valhala is pretty bland too. Im sure there are people who enjoy these games but they arent the best imo. Ubisoft is probably trying to diversify fans of assassins creed for some reason
