Just installed the torpedo combo in mine.What a difference in control.Much better crawler now.I haven’t installed the app and happy with the default settings which is great.
I changed out my motor and ESC in mine to a reedy setup from a cr12, for now. Ended up having to buy another pinion. Mine was so tight, the grub screw rounded out.
I stripped that insanely tight set screw and probably killed 2 or 3 Allen keys trying to extract it……. EVERYONE READING THIS PLEASE GO BUY THE EXTRA PINION AND SET SCREW AVAILABLE ON THE AXIAL WEBSITE.
@@TheShopMiniRC I know about heating up loctite but damn…….. I thought for sure “no way some idiot would put red loctite on this tiny ass set screw….” 💩 low and behold…….. welcome to 2024….. dip shits putting red loctite on a 2mm set screw 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 my Redcat drift car didn’t have that issue.

I use rolls of the 3m one from home Depot. It's cheaper, and goes a lot further.

Some heat will help you break the set screw loose.
