I've said it before, you two are the cutest! I love being included in your adventures, and WOW 26,000 sub., Congratulations!!! that's awesome. I remember when I joined up with you, you weren't even in the 1,000, and it really was not that long ago. God bless you two!!!!
Hey guys, love watching your videos. You seem to have such a good relationship, not just partners, but also friends to each other. Love Ashly's genuineness! Anyways, hope you are having a good time. Thanks for uploading!
We did Iceland for 1300 euros/week/per person. This includes everything including round trip flight tickets from Finland. But we were seven people, rented two cars and stayed at AirBnB. This was two years ago in late summer. I heard the tourist numbers have doubled since then so probably the prices have gone up as well. It is an expensive country, but it's so worth it. Lotta/Lanttimatkat
+Lanttimatkat wow that sounds like an awesome and super fun trip with all those friends. Still pricey but good you could split some of the cost. I agree fully that its well worth it. -Ash
+The Endless Adventure he was so happy just jumping around. I loved that we were there when all the lil babies were still little. It made it so special. -Ash
We just found you guys and we're loving watching another couple travel! Iceland looks super beautiful but reminds us A LOT of where we left behind, New Zealand! Prices sound similar as well. Have you been to NZ? Comparable? Keep it up guys, loving the happy vibes.
+Daneger and Stacey hey!! So nice to meet you! I was in New Zealand quit a few years ago. At that time it seemed to be similar to the U.S. in pricing. I think Iceland would be close to double for the same things but it has been a while. I'd love to go back and compare it now:) NZ is one of my fav. Countries. -Ash
+WΔY ΔWΔY Wow that sounds pricey then! Either way looks like a pretty amazing place to travel, New Zealand definitely is as well but its one of those things where you often barely explore your own country so we've not really seen a heck of a lot of it sadly. Oh well. Anyway, keep up the happy travels :)
I´m icelandic and I can´t afford to do alot of tourist thing. I´m(icelanders) charged the same as everybody else. Yes, Iceland is expensive. But because I have lived here all of my live I know how to "survive" here. For example I don´t go to the Blue lagoon, whale watching, Geysir and Gullfosss(I have already been there so many times). Like SO many icelanders that go abroad I do alot of clothes shopping and stay in city centers. I dearly hope you guys had fun in Iceland. It´s so good to see things from the tourist eyes.
Yeah someone was saying that even just buying clothes will make you go bankrupt! Ha. Of course your wage goes along with the prices, but it does still sound expensive regardless. /J
Me and my girlfriend did a 13-day trip (5th - 18th May 2018) around Iceland and the cost for both were as follows (we are from Romania): 600Euros - flights 310Euros - gas (Diesel campervan) - 3000 kilometers 1720Euros - Renault Kangoo campervan with FULL PREMIUM INSURANCE - (Campervan Iceland) - tough I would not recommend entirely 350Euros - 11 campingsites + hotel in Akranes and Reykjavik (private rooms with shared bathroom) average campingsite is 25Euros per night for 2 persons (BEFORE HIGH SEASON) 200-300Euros for food & souvenirs (we had food from home also and that helped keep costs down there; in Iceland average food basket for camping style living is about 30Euros for 4 days for 2 persons. ) Think this is it.
Thanks for talking about the cost. Super helpful when planning a trip, and a lot of time it's hard to find out about the cost of a place. When you were in the maze I was hoping you would pull out the drone so we could see what the maze fully looked like from above. Next time :)
I did a week for much less than that, maybe $1000 but I was lucky. I took wow air over from england, stayed at a hostel just outside of reykevik, took the public busses (went to Snæfellsnes peninsula for a small music festival- stayed at a hostel there) and ate mostly food from bonus. Made a friend that lives there and borrowed his bike to get around, and then he drove us and some friends to a hot river. I didn't get to see everything but I had a very quality trip. Locals are very friendly and are willing to give you rides too :)
+Heather Isobel that sounds awesome!! It is for sure possible to do a trip for cheaper. Thanks so much for the example.:) I'd love for everyone on any budget to plan a trip there. You a guaranteed a great trip If you go wanted to meet locals and staying flexible. -Ash
+Davidsbeenhere that's exactly why we took fly bus. It is still pricy at $25 a person per way and you have to take it both ways. We did round trip for both of us and it was around $100. A big expense if you're not counting on it. -Ash
Oh I spy some trees in Iceland!! @11:25 Or maybe they're just tall bushes? :) Yeah tough getting lost in there.. Those heart traffic lights!! Too cute!!!
I'm sure of it, I've on ever seen liquorice in very large variety in the Nordic countries, and northern Germany. It seems that everywhere else they hate it :) BtW. have you guys ever thought of getting a DNA test done. myancestry.com does a good one, and it's easy. It will tell you exactly where your DNA comes from. Normally it's 99 USD per kit, but if you email them, they are more than willing to do it for free. They have done that for LOTS of youtubers. With youtubers as low as 300 subscribers, I'm sure they are willing to do it with the amount you have.
At least 3000 euros per week in Iceland (albeit beautiful desolation/isolation) you have got to be kidding me! I think I’d rather head over to Asia: Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines or California/Florida for better weather, fabulous beaches and absolutely fabulous food! Late night shopping, late street food. 24 hours a day living the life. Oh I forgot, already done that! 🙈
This is my favorite trip of yours so far, what an amazing little island! One question: Since I really have no clue about how drones work. It looks like it is flying several hundret meters high. How much range does it have?
great video guys! yes iceland is very expensive. when i was there the cheapest place i found was dunkin donuts and hitting the oink market for some trail mix and fruit was the cheapest. also got some of their dried fish or viking snacks. good with butter believe it or not! can't wait to see more! just finished a trip in nassau bahamas! loved it. airbnb and the hosts were amazing. uploading videos soon. good luck and enjoy! going to rykivick (sp)? i know a boat captain there that might be able to hook you up with a whale watch tour. let me know! safe travels! oh and yes the landscape and people make up for the cost! peace
+Backpacker Mike thanks so much for the comment. We actually did end up going whale watching. It was awesome. Thanks for trying to give us the hook up! You're awesome!! -Ash
If you think Iceland is expensive, you better not go to Luxembourg. A Starbuckscoffee is around 6/7€.. But you made me curious about Iceland, I'll add it to my travel wishlist:)
Thanks for another great video guys! Always so real and down to earth. I'm really liking this Iceland series. Just an FYI- the term "midget" is a really derogatory term for people with dwarfism. I think that may (rightfully) offend a lot of people.
lollllllll, you should see how much it costs for us canadians. 30 bucks for 2 people? it costs me over 60 bucks for me and my girl to stay at each campsite
I live in iceland and we all HATE how expensive everything is. when costco came to iceland HALF of all iceland(That is a fact) went there just to save a little bit of monney beacuse all of our Shops (bónus,Hagkaup,1011,fjarðarkaup,nettó, etc) are overpriced. and the can do it beacuse we are so small and even If every icelandc person would stop buying stuff from them the would still be making monney just of the tourists. If you go downtown in Reykjavík you Will see 50/50 tourists and icelandic People. when we go to other places then iceland we always come back talking about how cheap everything was. we cant even go to the mall and buy cloths with out feeling bankrupt. i ONLY buy cloths of the internet where í get them 3x less expensive
+Grimur gygjar sheesh. We were told about the new Costco with in a few hours of arriving. For sure a BIG deal and will bring change for sure. Very interesting. Thanks for the comment and explanation. -Ash

+CatSchmid you're so sweet! Thank you for the kind comment and making me smile. Love that we can share our adventures with you. -Ash

Wow that's such a great break-down! Thank you!
The maze would have been so fun! Still in awe of how beautiful the scenery is. Thanks for sharing the breakdown of how much everything costs.
Wow, that 360 drone shot of Ashley on top of that mountain though, AMAZING! Love the vlog, keep up the great work!
Your most informative and original edition / vlog. Also liked your wedding flashback, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for talking about the cost. Super helpful when planning a trip, and a lot of time it's hard to find out about the cost of a place. When you were in the maze I was hoping you would pull out the drone so we could see what the maze fully looked like from above. Next time :)

+Davidsbeenhere that's exactly why we took fly bus. It is still pricy at $25 a person per way and you have to take it both ways. We did round trip for both of us and it was around $100. A big expense if you're not counting on it. -Ash

Liking black liquorice is from your Scandinavian heritage Ashley, I'm sure of it :)
+Martin Larsen you may be right!! I don't like the really salty ones but with out the salt on the outside I love it. Especially the soft kind. -Ash

The $3000 price tag may have crushed my dream but a one or two day layover on my way to somewhere else would be nice!
+Aaron Keith you really should!! Iceland air does a free layover for up to a week. It's a great way to get a few days in.:) -Ash
This is my favorite trip of yours so far, what an amazing little island!
One question: Since I really have no clue about how drones work. It looks like it is flying several hundret meters high. How much range does it have?
