There's an art to effective teaching: The right intonation to the tutor's voice, the right teaching material appropriate to the age group being taught, & the level of comprehension of those students. I do remember the teacher's I liked I learnt far more from. Having said the very strict one's also taught me plenty as well.
Sir Sandford Fleming FRSC KCMG (January 7, 1827 - July 22, 1915) was a Scottish Canadian engineer and inventor. Born and raised in Scotland introduced time zones
You do realize, you can travel through time if you traveled through space. If you were somehow to travel at the speed of light and returned. You would still be the same age, but everyone earth would’ve aged 60 years already
Time zones are crucial for standartizing time across countries and regions. A term “time zone” describes an area where uniform standard time isused for the legal, social or economical purpose. The time zones are not strict: they follow the boundaries of countries, because it would be inconvenient otherways.
I understand the princip of time zones but I was hoping to find an answer to the following question: What date is there in the location 180° east/west longitude? Thing is, if you travel 180° west it's supposed to be 12h later. If you travel east it actually is supposed to be 12h earlier. So, in any case between these to times there would be a difference of 24h but no difference in time. Would have been worth mentioning that there's a longitude (180°W longitude of London) that is the "turning line" of two dates. This line crosses main countrys that will differ 24h in time. All it would have taken was to also write the date on the globe that you have drawn. But still, a good video I guess.
I believe from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM UTC it is three different days on the planet earth. For example when it 11:00 PM tuesday on baker island and Howland island in the central area of the pacific ocean. It will be wednesday for the majority of the planet earth and it will be 1:00 AM on thursday for Kiribati's line islands.

West means you start your day later London 9am 10am 11am New York 4am 5am 6am London has an earlier time than New York because London start their day first 5 earlier in London if you leave in New York East means you start your day earlier London 9pm 10pm 11pm Sydney 7am 8am 9am Sydney has an earlier time than London time because they start their day first London is 10 hours later than Sydney time
I think that the model shown the Earth during the Northern hemisphere's summer, meaning it would be winter in Antarctica, due to Earth being tilted, light doesn't reach Antarctica until after March Equinox. This effect is referred to as 'Polar Night' and is also observed in the northern hemisphere during it's winter. 'Polar Day' also happens when it's summer on each pole, causing sunlight to shine on there for months at a time

Excellent video about the time zones and how it all works. Very clear, informative and educational too.
I appreciate the way you speak very clear, deliberate, English.
Loved it. Simple, short and easy to understand. Thanks for the video ❤️
Such a great video explaining how the earth's rotation and time zones are related! Thank You!

A beautiful explanation about time zone , thanks sir
Thank you very much! This is very simple and easy to understand.
Time travel basically already exist..
It's not time travel

First of all, how would a time zone be strict?
Thank you man. This was so helpful
Thank you for this clear explanation. Science class wasn’t making sense.
U hav serious animation talent ❤😊
Great Explanation!
beautifully explained!
thanks, its super easy and helps alot, thankyou sir

it helped me understand so mush great eplaining.
Watching this when it's literally 11pm in Denver and 1am in New York 😂😂
So what about when the earths moving not in the correct direction it normally spins in we would be spiraling through timzones
this actually helped :)))) thanks
Thanks you for this explanation.

So this is based of relativity ? Seeing as time is based on it/degrees relative to the default 0th degree longitude line.
This video is super ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Thank you you help me understand time zone

Q? Why some line of time zone is not street? I think the northern pole is stretched on the world map.
Amazing
It’s a very informative video

Thanks
but when eart is on other side of the sun at same time?dark and light switch
quick note: time does not go east from the prime meridian. It goes from the international date line. please correct
How come there’s 19 time zones up by the north pole and 24 time zones in the northern hemisphere and 32 time zones in the southern hemisphere?
Thx I had a test about time zoned
Thank you a lottttttttt❤❤❤❤
Why can’t the whole world have 1 Timezone . It’s currently 11:40pm Friday but in USA (est) its 6:40am Friday
Thanks sir

@Mia Saunders yeah but it's not thanks for being the understanding one here.
Why do certain areas get 24 hours of sunlight?
Due to the tiltaion of earth’s on its orbital axis
24 hours in 1 complete Earth Spin
dear sir.. im very sorry.. im not to know time.. but which satelite stay that zone this time
MR D!!!!

correction: When you travel from the west to the east, time gets earlier, not later.
No..
That is very wrong
When you have a geography test in 5min
West means you start your day later
London 9am 10am 11am
New York 4am 5am 6am
London has an earlier time than New York because London start their day first
5 earlier in London if you leave in New York
East means you start your day earlier
London 9pm 10pm 11pm
Sydney 7am 8am 9am
Sydney has an earlier time than London time because they start their day first
London is 10 hours later than Sydney time

Why is there a flat earth Wikipedia article linked to the video for context from youtube? 😂😂😂
Bacause with this logic after the Earth has done 180 degree orbit around the Sun day would be night and vice versa!

Our school told us to watch this video and I don't think this is helpful 😒
Earth does not rotate, sun move across the sky.
Foolish the rotates 🥴
How does light get to bottom of the “globe” in your model? Horrible example. Where is argentina? This is bullshit sorry.
