I've watched every interview out there with Monish; I never miss one. Out of all the ones I've seen, Stig's questions stand out as the most thought-provoking and unique compared to any other interviews I've watched in a long time.
Cant agree more with your comment
Agree!! he has done his homework, watching every mohnish interview.
My hearfelt thanks to Mohnish ... what a wonderful man. Generous, likeable and authentic. On another note - I have visited Inida 3 times . To study and train in the Indian art of Kushti (pit wrestling), Kalari and Vajramushti. India is replete with wonder and culture. I have loved every minute of my time there - and the wonderful people.

Thank you Mohnish, just like you listen to Buffet & Munger, I listen to your podcasts.
He is the best Buffet explainer.
No he himself mentioned himself as a cloner
The Indian biriyani and curry is the best thing about India. Also the sweets are great. Peda, Barfi, Gulab Jamun and lots of other nice things. Things I dislike is the chaos, heat, mosquitoes and other diseases/poverty

@48:20 Mohnish says the 18% Government bonds would have compounded from 1980 to 2010. But bonds don't compound. It's simple interest. There are no retained earnings. And the interest rate fell during that time period so you coudn't have bought additional bonds at 18%. Can someone please explain to me whether I understand this correctly?
Who's going to tell Mohnish that the sound from his mic goes in and out on almost every interview

Honesty does not reduce the offense of bluntness. Catch here is to be honest without being blunt.

First
you do not talk about people who cannot read or do not like to read..i mean who hell wants to spend time reading books..i am so anti reading..it is so freaking boring..
"McDonald's is one of the best educational institutes on the planet" is one of the most delusional things i have heard from multimillionaires hahaha!
It's fantastic. If you are 18 and you work there you might realise that you better get your act together or this is going to be your life.
@@georgesotiriou7051 Yes, that is correct but not how Pabrai stated the quote. He meant it quite literally haha...listen to the mcdonalds section...insane...
An easy opinion to have when you come from a family so wealthy they send you overseas to a university.
I interpreted it more as reliability being an important thing to learn. And sometimes these kids coming out of school who have never worked a job are just not understanding how important reliability is.
