Megara Makeup Tutorial

This year for Halloween my husband and I are going to be Megara and Hercules! Unlike a lot of the Disney Princesses that have minimal makeup or look like they're not wearing makeup at all, I feel like Meg has a very distinct look that's fairly easy to recreate! One of her most defining features are her brows and I love how glam she looks.
I hope you all love this Megara makeup tutorial! Are you more likely to buy a costume that's designed for a specific character or throwing together a DIY outfit? In some ways I think it's easier to buy a costume to help make it look more obvious, but I feel like nailing a DIY Halloween costume is so much more impressive!

I appreciate that you list the description of each shade you use! I have so many palettes and it's soooo much easier recreating looks when you describe the type of color it is vs just a shade name if I don't have access to a specific palette!
Thank you! As someone who has accumulated way too much makeup over the years (and still continues to - whoops!) I'm a total advocate for using what you have. Honestly I feel like there really isn't a whole lot that we haven't seen before (eyeshadow wise) so you're bound to have shadows in different palettes that can match any tutorial you watch!
This is so fabulous! You look Awesometastic as Princess Megara! If you could have a spa day/makeover party with the Disney Princesses, who would you invite? I would invite all of them because a spa/makeover party would be so fun and really relaxing!

I love this so much. Hercules is one of my favorite Disney movies and I adore megara and Susan Egan. You did an amazing job. It reminded me of when one of my bridesmaids used her dress from the wedding to be megara for Halloween. Do you have any tips for doing a simple dog nose for Halloween? I'm going to be Roxanne and my husband is going to Max from a goofy movie. I've never really done any makeup on my nose before. I hope you are doing well and I hope you have a wonderful day.
It's one of my favorites too! And yes! Just put the shadow/eyeliner/whatever you're using for the nose over the very end of your nose. I love how detailed you are and how you keep beginners in mind. A common theme I see with you that I incredibly appreciate and respect! Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to try it myself!! What vlog camera do you use? It’s such great quality!

That was one of the things I loved most about working with Sephora - they train you when working with clients it's not just about finding them what they're looking for and putting it on them, but also explaining the why behind everything so they understand it and can feel confident doing it themselves when they leave the store. I started making my videos more beginner-focused a year or two ago and I was surprised at how many people noticed! I just film with the assumption that the person has never seen one of my videos before and doesn't understand terms that would be common knowledge to me.
For my camera when I do sit down videos, I use a Canon 6D Mark ii. But for actual "vlogs" I just use my iphone now! I got the new one (or what was the new one last year) with the nicest camera lens knowing I would be using it for vlogging purposes. And honestly, I think the quality is amazing! Plus you always have it with you so you don't have to worry about carrying around another camera.
@@kenziemacbrown I've noticed that about Sephora too the times I've been there! Always felt comfortable shopping there. I'm really grateful you kept up with it but that you also do some fun and extremely creative makeup designs! It's a really great balance that not many TH-camrs have!
