Metallica didn’t sell out, they tried some new stuff in the 90s and went back to thrash and is still making banger albums to this day. People are always trippin with Metallica.
PS: thank for the shoutout bro 😎 🤘

Just to put this album into perspective, at the time it was written, the oldest band member was 23. Youngest was 21. This album now resides in the national library of congress, to which the entry is stated as follows; ‘Master of Puppets’ was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" enough for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the United States Library of Congress in 2016, the first metal recording to do so. Yeah, you could say they're one of a kind.

The fact that so many people say Metallica "sold out" at different times really proves the opposite; they pissed off lots people by trying new things several different times. That's like, the exact opposite of selling out. lmao

The noises in the start of Damage, Inc are actually Cliff Burton's bass. Dude could get sounds that I can't even believe out of that thing.

Appreciate the shout out. I think that you're going to love those other bands also. Plus they are all good for driving your sub numbers up.
I also love that you react to whole albums.

Fun fact about the song Master of Puppets: I believe the song was played slower originally but sped up in post production to give it a more energetic feel

To answer the wah question, it was almost certainly an original duncan crybaby IIRC, I think he's used those since the 80s. He's switched over to a Dimebag model of the Crybaby within the last few years, because it gives some pretty good control over what you can do with it.

I can’t wait for you to hear “…And Justice For All”. Truly the greatest album ever made imho. And yes it’s next. Truly the most technically tight guitar and drum performances the bad has done. It’s also the first album they recorded with Jason Newsted on bass after Cliff Burton’s death during the tour promoting Master of Puppets
No disrespect, but your dad’s super wrong about Metallica.
The only thing Metallica really sold out was the arenas and stadiums they toured

You must react to Pantera's Cowboys from hell album ( they call that album the game changer in metal world) and Havok album Time is up ( the savior of thrash metal)

Some good bands in the same vein of Metallica are Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer, for one. They're the big four of thrash metal, and they're probably the most known 80s metal bands out there. Respectively, their best albums would probably be Rust in Peace, Among the Living, and Reign in Blood.
If you wanna delve more into thrash metal in particular, the bands Exodus, Testament, and Sepultura are some good bands to check out. Tempo of the Damned, Practice What You Preach and Arise are good albums to check out from them respectively.
There's a couple other ones that don't fit into the subset of thrash I can recommend as well, the two obvious ones being Pantera and Death. Pantera is known for adding groove into their music (Vulgar Display of Power is a great start for them, if not then Cowboys from Hell), and Death is known for being the first Death Metal band, along with having some incredible song structure, riffing and progressive elements. Symbolic and The Sound of Perseverance would be two great albums to check out from Death.
Hope you enjoyed the paragraph, I've got a couple more albums I could throw out if you need more too :P

People always give the drummer Lars crap because he cant keep tempo. Metallica plays weird ass time signatures.

lol your pops seems funny as hell. He’s trippin about Metallica tho, Megadeth tried to sell out by making straight up POP music (perfect example, listen to Crush ‘Em it’s gay as hell) they just didn’t have any success with it lol. Still love Megadeth tho
