I'm glad Aberdeen came to play today, it made for a bum clenchy game at times. They marked Edouard out of the game, and defended well. Glad to see the bhoys move forward and get that 7th title in a row with Brendan.

Gritty performance from Celtic in the end. Great bit of play for the goal... Boyata inch-perfect pass and Christie's determination to get there was the difference. Only 1 team trying to play football in the end with Aberdeen happy to simply throw their weight around and then moan at the end of the game about antics etc. It's sour grapes as usual from McInnes and Co., although, they must be sick of getting beat at finals. Refereeing was as poor in a final as I've ever seen and does nothing to improve our game as a whole. Never a penalty, clearly both ball to hand and outside the box. Dallas should not be allowed another high profile cup game (or league game) until his standards improve. Finally, speedy recovery to Mackay-Steven - absolutely horrific head clash.

The game plan was to hold celtic off and not concede for as long as possible. Even when they went behind that didn't change much. Every team in Scotland knows if they go all out attack against celtic they'll get pumped. That's why the last old firm match, slippy G told his players to go out and play for a draw

it was never a penalty and as a celt fan I'm glad we missed the penalty because above all that we played hard, fast and FAIR. Aberdeen played with determination as they always do but I it was a determination to stop celtic scoring and that was it as they showed no threat in attacking....now that's a FAIR analysis.

You can clearly see the ball goes out for the throw in before it's back heeled by the Aberdeen player then the Celtic player slides in and puts it out again. 7 trophies in a row! Yee haaa!
