- Rangers FC from the Scottish Glasgow managed to reach the Europa League final in the 2021/22 season. It was an incredible run and amazing achievement to beat clubs like Dortmund. Some of the star players were Tavernier, Morelos and Bassey. Enjoy this video!

Just watched this was so happy all the way through and then I had to watch Aaron Ramsey break my heart all over again.

That same year, Rangers also qualified to the Champions League the next season, where they eventually played in the group stage. And you guess what happen next. Getting an insane group draw along with Ajax, Liverpool, and Napoli was such a catastrophic for this club. They didn't grab a single win or even point, becoming the worst team in competition with INSANE -20 GD. Only Viktoria Plzen that had the same worst GD record, albeit with most goals conceded (24).
We had an insane injury list that season, and played against Liverpool (for example) with an eighteen year old and a central midfielder as our centre backs. We also sold a couple of our best players from the previous season- Bassey and Aribo. In reality it wasn't the same team at all. Plus guys like McGregor, Arfield etc should have retired and were playing a season too many.
Ultimately it was a step too far, but that seasons team wasn't really comparable to the seasons before due to injuries, players sold etc.
@@Demondoink1 The funny thing is that Liverpool were also the lesser side due to the injury crisis which affected the overall performance, especially the defense and midfield.

Ramsey gets the hate but if he scores the penalty, the shootout just continues and we could've still lost. If Kent scored in the last minute from point blank we lift the trophy.
It's Goldson's defending and Kent's shot that lives with me, penalty is irrelevant, after seeing that goal given at the world cup when the ball looked miles out, we can only wonder if that went in we win it

Never realised how much luck was involved in this run 😄 mostly defensive blunders and they were given a penalty nearly every game. Still, it would’ve been a great story had they went all the way.
