- This disassembly also provided me the opportunity to straighten out some of the wires around the dashboard time circuits. OH, and lift doors SLIGHTLY at an angle when if you are removing them from square pin. My example was a bit exaggerated.
Dude! Life saver! Got mine imported from italy in total working order,arrived with lights not working. I was gutted! The guy gave me the hot toys marty as a apology,but ive never been totally happy. Mow i can finally get in this thing and sort it out. Bless ya!
Took mine spart following your instructions,and im ecstatic to say its now in 100% working order! Cannot thank you enough. Took about an hour and s half for disassembly,repair and reassembly. Very happy guy here in blighty. Cheers my friend.👍👍👍👍

@@2NDCBT if you hadn't have shown the screws behind the grill,i would never have guessed how to get in it. I was praying that it was all the same set up,as mine is the original hot toys delorean. All it was was the wires on the power button had been bent back. Every time i walk past it now i have to switch it on and look at it. 🤣👍

There is a lot of Hot toys deloreans out there, and a lot of them with issues, that's why I find this video very helpful to those who want to fix those issues more efficiently... I have a problem with mine on the hood but I can fix it with glue, good video ! take care

@@manuelsumaker2845 Hola. He visto a algunas personas poner esas cifras en vehiculos a escala 1/6 a veces me parecen un poco pequenas. Pero a veces se ven bien,pero si funciona para ti, lo haria, entenderia por que, porque las figuras de juguetes calientes son muy caras, espero que esto ayude.

They brought the real Back to the future Delorean to a Comicbook convention in Eastbourne last year, got to see it in person and some lucky peeps managed to get a tour of the inside. This thing looks almost identical to the real deal.

Very nice bud! Ive been itching to rip mine apart to wire in some flux band lights and swap out the headlight leds for some some slightly warmer leds. The rear looks likes it will be a real pain. Excellent info though!

Hey Tony. Maybe you remember I asked you last year about a problem I had with my Delorean having a loose wheel assembly, specifically the joint on the axle responsible for the front wheel swivel? Anyway, it is just a missing screw and washer that was either not installed at the factory or somehow came loose in transit. I was hoping to simply replace the missing screw--easy enough, right? Well, after watching your video, it is obvious to me that even if I strip the vehicle down this far, I still won't have access to install this screw because the wheel well will still be in the way. Unless there is some specialty tool that allows for small screws to be installed around corners, more deconstruction is required. This screw must be placed very early on construction before the body is even placed on the frame. I will heed Grandma Marine's advice, and I won't bother trying to fix it. At least the joint isn't load bearing and, once properly placed, even without the screw, it does not come undone by itself.
I remember.😊But there is a way to remove the wheel to get it out of the way. There is a screw that is covered by the DMC hubcap. That may help but it is true, if you don't have to mess with it then don't...But...there is a way. Take care my friend.

Do you have to unscrew the windshield to open op the electronics under the hood/trunk?
No, you don't but it's best to get the windshield out of the way. It's also a very tight fit where the windshield and the "Fender clip" meet. I found that when I tried to just remove the clip without removing the windshield screws it was tough to lift up the fender clip on that end. Just me. Lol. Hope that helped.

Great vid ,the one reason i wont by this is the car inacuracy, nothing is ever perfect but the front of the gullwing door window frame is tapered ,thick at the bottom and thin up the top ,plus other models are more accurate with no sharp edge at the top of the door ,running down the rear window frame .its curved not sharp angled ,making it way less sleek than the real car ,not worried about the time travel parts as theres room for inacuracy ,but the car should look right,most dont notice due to its size and features .

Question: How come Doc Brown did not use parts from the Delorean that he hid in the cave while in the 1800'S to fix the one Marty brought back? Technically there should have been Two Delorean's when Marty went back to the 1800's! The one Doc hid in the cave and the one Marty used to go back in time! Just asking!😂
Marty wouldn't have been able to get back to the 1800's if Doc took parts from the cave car. As soon as any parts were removed, Marty and the repaired car, would start to disappear.

@@2NDCBT What 1885 Doc should have done was to leave himself a note with the cave car, telling 55 Doc what happened when Marty travelled back to 1885. With the knowledge of the car being damaged upon arriving in 1885, 55 Doc would make sure to pack a spare fuel line and a jerrycan of gas. Assuming the damage was unavoidable, 1885 Doc would have the parts and gas needed for the return trip, so no need for the train.

Hi.
My dash connectors for the time circuit and dash lights have somehow disconnected (probably during shipping) how 'easy' would it be to remove the dashboard to re-connect them?
I haven't gone that far yet. The only thing in the dashboards are the bulbs. The connectors are on the front fender clip, Bumpers and coming out of the middle of the floorboards (0:22) and on the front plate where the 'fender clip' was (also at 0:22). Check those connections. hope this will help.
