Yes, unfortunately there are those who homeschool for the sole reason of avoiding “watchful eyes” & witnesses to their abuse & neglect. That said, there are some who homeschool solely because they want to be able to individualize their children’s education. Homeschooling organizations & groups have really blown up in my area recently which also helps with the socialization kids needs. Guess it can be used for good or bad.

That isn't good, being in a forensic mental facility gives no chance of parole and is not fun, ironic that he'd be where his mom is. I know the outcome already.

It's not so easy, dude. Children are very vulnerable. Taking them away from a parent can be more traumatic than a beating. They policed him, and that's the best they could do. They are not dogs. You can't take them away, put them in a new home, and that's that.
Cannot stop crying watching this testimony. What loving and supportive educators who knew the children were suffering not having there Mommy in the home. I just do not understand how someone can harm let alone kill an innocent child. He wanted to hurt Amber for leaving him, so monster Tim killed these innocent little kids who all seemed to love one another and love life. I like seeing the male teacher and the lawyer hugging. I also think it's sweet how the guy that let's people out of the little door pats everyone on the arm or back, like saying, "good job". I also just cried my eyes out watching these beautiful teachers testify, but I didn’t cry watching Amber(the mother) testify, that tells me a lot. I just didn’t believe the mother’s “grief”-crocodile tears. So sad.

These lovely children grasped early on (whether the Jones were still married or not) they only had themselves to rely on each other. The three older ones formed the core and became the nurturing siblings to the two younger ones. What stood out from the educational staff's testimonies and documentations presented is the cohesiveness of the Super Little Five (SLF). While children may draw parents as their super hero's, this is absent with SLF (their work displayed each other only). The love, care and protection of each other mattered to them and they applied the same to other children the inter acted with in school. The educational school setting was their security blanket. I can say without a doubt the SLF are God's greatest helpers; blessed are the children, for the Kingdom of Heaven is "there's"! Thank You Almighty God for using the Super Little Five as your instruments, we have much to learn from them in life and in passing! Amen!
Child protective services failed these children .the mother should have never left that nut with those children. She should had taken the children and left .
I agree. I feel awful saying this out loud but I can’t help thinking that she should have stayed in that awful marriage until she was able to leave with her children. She out of everyone knew how he was with his temper. Her children should have come first before her own happiness. She left her children with a monster.

In Balto. our schools provide school lunches for under privledged children. You know it just occurred to me that Tim;s Dumpy Trailer was paid off. no house payment and He made $70,000 a yr. I like seeing the male teacher and the lawyer hugging. I also think it's sweet how the guy that let's people out of the little door pats everyone on the arm or back, like saying, "good job". I live in the southwestern united states, but there are cute things that southerners do. Wow, seeing him cry and break down was tough. What a good man.
All the You Tubers are crying watching this testimony. I wonder if the attorneys had a hard time maintaining their composure.......heart wrenching to know the terror that these little children felt as he methodically killed each one of them. Oh my god. I just cannot stop crying.

Why do they keep saying "the kids didn't have a mother"? They had a mother that Tim took them from and lied on and kept them as far away as possible from her. She wanted to be in their lives and Tim refused to let that happen. Its pretty sad that these teachers who only knew them for 9 months are more upset and emotional than Tim. I don't agree with the death penalty but in this case I DO!!
Exactly how I feel. Their mom loved them and wanted them .The story is so sad and this evil "dad" just was evil and only thought he counted .Only what Timmy wanted...a monster on drugs & alcohol .Life or death ..just don't put him in a mental hospital .justice for the children .😭

You are right, she is beautiful and loving. Her testimony was so heart wrenching, but I am glad that she had such an effect upon the jury, that they chose the Death Penalty as his sentence.
As a retired teacher, my heart is breaking for these loving teachers having to remember their students who died so horribly.

Where were teachers like this when I was a kid? Except for my first grade teacher, who was sweet to us, mine either had a neutral attitude or acted like they downright couldn’t stand us.

How does the defense think it helps to show Jones somehow had feeling for these children? That makes his behavior all the more heinous.

Sweet teacher Eli was lucky to have. Amazing how his teachers cry thinking of him, but his grandma Julie wouldn’t. Very telling about the Jones family dynamics.
I also just cried my eyes out watching these beautiful teachers testify, but I didn’t cry watching Amber(the mother) testify, that tells me a lot. I just didn’t believe the mother’s “grief”-crocodile tears. So sad.
Now what am I missing here... the teachers noticed how bad the kids where off... and they loved these kids so much... how come they didn't push it to be checked?? If a school repeatedly reports that something is off, wouldn't that be checked??

So glad these teachers did a great job at showing the jury and the world who these children were. So worthy to be recognized for being special human beings. All about the children. Nothing for this man who cared only about himself. He certainly cares how the world sees him. And we do.
The defense should sit there quietly--all they do when they ask about the "loving" relationship the monster had only emphasizes how horrific a crime it was.

These lovely children grasped early on (whether the Jones were still married or not) they only had themselves to rely on each other. The three older ones formed the core and became the nurturing siblings to the two younger ones. What stood out from the educational staff's testimonies and documentations presented is the cohesiveness of the Super Little Five (SLF). While children may draw parents as their super hero's, this is absent with SLF (their work displayed each other only). The love, care and protection of each other mattered to them and they applied the same to other children the inter acted with in school. The educational school setting was their security blanket. I can say without a doubt the SLF are God's greatest helpers; blessed are the children, for the Kingdom of Heaven is "there's"! Thank You Almighty God for using the Super Little Five as your instruments, we have much to learn from them in life and in passing! Amen!

Child protective services failed these children .the mother should have never left that nut with those children. She should had taken the children and left .
I agree. I feel awful saying this out loud but I can’t help thinking that she should have stayed in that awful marriage until she was able to leave with her children. She out of everyone knew how he was with his temper. Her children should have come first before her own happiness.

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a grey demon looking evil entity that thing is.............but how wonderful, truly wonderful these teachers were there for their short little munchkin lives. They will be telling God all about their favourite teachers and others who were so loving and kind in that small amount of time. For sure they will be rewarded for loving them so sincerely.

I see Tim Jr was the more fit parent to care for these kids. hardly fit. He sent them to school without a real lunch. I do not call a slice of bread and grapes LUNCH. what happened to peanuit butter and jelly sandwiches. Joy the ;in the home day care provider said he only had Oatmeal in the house. So kids ate Oatmeal for all three meals. Oh thatś right Tim Jr had to have money to buy his SPICE and ALCOHOL. Oh another sad day for me after watching the testimony of these teachers. In Balto. our schools provide school lunches for under privledged children. You know it just occurred to me that Tim;s Dumpy Trailer was paid off. no house payment and He made $70,000 a yr. Parents living on way less do way better with providing meals and shoes for their children. Dam Amber what in the Hell were you thinking leaving the kids with this monster. You were only thinking of your self and your new love interest.
