    I am so happy YOU could use the laces! Is this not just the sweetest journal ever, with so much LOVE and sweet memories? YOU are just the most CREATIVE warm hearted lovable friend ever! I can barely wait to show Irma. What an honor... Connie would be so happy to see how and why we are using her lace and thread! It is truly beautiful April, good job and as always tfs! LUVnHUGZ, Rita

      Thank you so much Rita for sharing Connie's items with me. I thought it would be so perfect to use them in this instance. I couldn't stop thinking about the kind of dresses she may have created while I was making this and storing the stuff you gave me. I put it away separately because I want to know when I'm using Connie's stuff specifically. Thank you so much again my friend. 💜💜❤️❤️

    April, I'm so sorry about your grandmother, who was a beautiful lady. This book is gorgeous and what a tribute to your family it will be. It came at a good time for me as next week I will be joining my children in FL to distribute the ashes of my dad, who passed away a few months ago, over the Gulf of Mexico to join my mom. This will happen on what would have been their 72nd wedding anniversary. I will be journaling about that while down there. Hugs to you!

    Watching and crying. It's been a year and 1 month since my dad(even stopped typing) passed. So unfair and so unexpectedly... And I never want to talk about it or even write about his death, but now I feel that I can write about his life. Thank you.

    This is so inspiring!!! I wish so much that I could do something like this. I think the fact that I don’t have a sewing machine or know how to sew keeps me from doing it. Thanks for sharing this beautiful project.

      Thank you so much 🙏🏼 You can still totally make one without the machine for sure! I just do it because I like the look it gives, but those without sewing are equally beautiful. It's what will be added to it that gives it true beauty. ❤️❤️Thank you so much for the sweet comment and for taking the time to watch! XoXo

    Absolutely gorgeous! I love how beautiful and delicate it is. Btw your grandmother was gorgeous. I had started a TN insert (it isn’t anything as detailed and pretty as yours) for my son that was murdered at the age of 20. He is my first born and the oldest. The more I wrote in it and incorporated pictures, it became too hard. My other kids are growing up without their oldest brother. My second oldest has turned 21 this past March and I find myself saying in conversation that he is my oldest son. In reality Adrian is my oldest son. Then I find myself correcting myself and sometimes it could be like a stranger or cashier, you know someone like that. It becomes extremely awkward and I become a hot mess. I have a few tattoos on one arm that is dedicated to Adrian and I never thought that those tattoos would get noticed and people curious about it. I will begin to explain the reason behind it, if I’m having a bad day, I’ll just give a short reason but if I’m feeling okay I’ll explain. It’s a hit or miss with peoples reactions. Some hug you and want to talk about it and some other reactions are cool then I also get that weird look and it can get really awkward really fast! I always tend to ramble...sorry!..
    this is beautiful! I hope that one day I can get back into my TN for my Adrain. Tfs!

    • @PinkOddBird
      @PinkOddBird  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm so, so, so sorry about your son. There are no words that could even console you. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you and I extend my complete heart to you. The things that you go through are completely normal. Don't let any of that get to you when you are talking to people - you know what's what and ultimately that's all that matters. Hang in there. I know it's painful - but you can carry his memory on and tell his siblings all about who he was. I'm so so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are going to be with you. Stay strong and hang in there. ❤️💜❤️💜
