    Had the same thing happen to my Fast Intentions resonated test pipes. Cracked in the same location as yours and the crack was almost completely around the resonator. Took it to the guy who works on my car, when i don't feel comfortable doing it myself, and he welded it back together all the way around and haven't had any problems since. It happens, it's just one of those things. Test pipes get hot, they scrape, they can get pretty abuised even when you're careful. The price we pay to play...

    • @MemosGarageAZ

      That's why it's so important to buy test pipes with the brackets for the support. Without that there's way too much stress in that area where yours and mine cracked. I have a set of resonated Test Pipes on the way, hopefully will get them soon and video will follow. Thanks for watching and for the message.

      If you add test pipes to just an axle back exhaust, it'll be a little bit loud but it might sound good. Test pipes will make any exhaust system louder even your stock one.

    • @MemosGarageAZ
      @MemosGarageAZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RuthlessTwinz I personally recommend you find test pipes that have the flange welded on that can reconnect to the trans bracket like the OEM cats do. If you can't then I would recommend you replace as many of the exhaust hangers as you can with polyurethane ones. This will help support the additional stress added to the entire exhaust system by not being able to reconnect the test pipe on the "U or V" shape bracket that is mounted to the transmission. I did this on my G after I installed ISR Long Tube Headers, because these headers do not have those flanges either, the polyurethane hangers will also prevent the exhaust system sagging down and sitting low as well. With this setup I haven't had any issues so far.

The one thing that I will recommend on my next video is buying all metal exhaust gaskets from Z1 if you're going to be running a setup like this with a tune and flame map. I already burned the gasket in the mid section, where the Y-Pipe meets the mid section if the exhaust system.
