Thank you, once again.
Hello from Australia Graham. I have been enjoying & learning from your videos since buying my FZ1000II several years ago. I had been using a Nikon D600 but wanted a lighter camera to carry around without all the lenses & I really enjoy using this camera & am very happy with the quality of the images. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge & explaining & demonstrating features of cameras that I find easy to follow & I enjoy experimenting with various settings. I always look forward to your newsletters & hope that your health issues get sorted out soon.
Graham, I started my camera journey with your videos a few years ago when I got my FZ1000II. Now I have a fleet of cameras and enjoy using them all - bridge, mirrorless, super zoom, DSLR, compact, even a 360 video camera! Looking forward to this series. 👍
thank you, just need to get the new mic set up properly for the next one.
Thanks Graham, another great tutorial for absolute beginners like me and I'm guessing loads of others 😊
Very welcome
Greetings from Brazil ! I still have my FZ200 and I have learned a lot from your videos ! Thank you very much for all that information, Graham !
Glad you like them!
Big Thanks , from Sydney . Always watch anything you put up . Thoughts are with you on your health issues .
Nice to see you doing a new video Graham! Hopefully that means your health is stable!! Thanks for the refresher! Steve
Glad to see you "back in the saddle", Graham! Hope this finds you well...🙂
Just got and am getting used to a new FZ 1000.2...bit of a difference from my Nikon D7500 / Z5 days but your videos have been SUPER useful and instructive...nicely done! Also got a copy of your Mk2 book and that's equally useful.
I was hoping that your book would include a list of YOUR recommendations for menu settings, Q.menu and My Menu settings. You allude to some of these throughout your various videos, most of which deal with the 1000 Mk1 (and there are subtle differences like in the lens barrel settings, etc.) A complete checklist that one could go through would be reallyyyyyy useful. Yes, those settings may change from scene to scene or might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'd take whatever your recommended without much hesitation. Do you have something like that, or did I miss it somewhere?
Cheers!
He's back woo
I love the simplicity of a bridge camera and the quality of the photos that I have gotten on my FZ1000. On an African safari last year it was much easier for me to take quality photos than for other folks who had to switch out lenses and carry a large bag. I do wonder why they cannot make a similar bridge with an APS-C size sensor?
Thanks for this. Looking forward to the remainder of your series of the 330. Also, not sure if you are aware, but your video is coming over as mono on only one side for audio. I use headphones all the time. I'm not sure that can be adjusted, but if so, that would be perfect! Love your stuff and having the book is especially helpful. We had the eclipse today so tomorrow I start on that long distance bird's nest project. Thank you so much for your advice on that!
Thanks for that!, new mic system and forgot to duplicate the track over.
While there are existing bridge camera owners, I really do wonder whether they still sell new in any significant numbers. There has been no new models or significant developments for a number of years now. They still have a place of course and may suite some photographers instead of buying a more expensive set of zoom lenses covering a similar range of focal lengths in an all in one convenient package.
I'm seeing lots of requests for downloads of mt e-books for the FZ80 and the FZ300 so I guess the second hand market is quite active in this sense
I own 3 Panasonic and 1 Nikon bridge cameras and each fits my needs.
I'm happy with the results I get
It's true sells have dropped and models being dropped by camera manufacturers.
I'm sure there is still life left in bridge cameras
I bought a v-lux 1 again. IT was my second digital canera
Graham - no audio for me after the intro music.
Thanks for that!, new mic system and forgot to duplicate the track over - so its mono only
You got an Audio channel mistake
Thanks for that!, new mic system and forgot to duplicate the track over.
@@GrahamHoughton12 for me most importance have audio and video. I did recently bought a Lumix 83 bridge. Fotos are not much interesting me. If you post a comment under one of my videos I can show you some links that surprise you. By the way you still have such Aluminium plates to sell?
sadly it's hard to listen to. But very informative as every of your videos Sir
Sorry about that, new mic and not got it set right yet.
I hope you get your normal voice back soon Graham. Getting very high pitched at the moment. Still a great explanatory video.
Sorry about that, new mic as well didn't help/
So, I have the junk FZ1000 and its crap manual focus ruined my solar eclipse totality video on April 8th. DO NOT use this camera for any astral photography. You've been warned!
It's not really meant for astrophotography. You do have focus peaking. Sounds more like user error
@@unbroken1010 I found the peaking is not helpful in this situation so turned it off. The focus mechanism is not designed well; even Graham stated that later iterations of the camera fixed this focusing issue so its not just user error. The way the focusing works, utilizing a motorized movement, makes it hard to fine tune for this type of photography whereas the focus jumps back and forth past where you really want it. A mechanical movement would be easier to fine tune, like binoculars.
