Thanks for this. I bought one of these at the weekend, and the supplied instruction sheet was woeful. Seemed to show a previous model that was slightly different. Your guide saved a lot of frustration... Oh, and you were right the first time. The vertical handles stick up, not down - at least, they do on my box art. Cheers.
Great to hear! If you're a first time Rotak user, I'm planning to do a 'tips and tricks' video to help get the best from your machine. Keep an eye out - it'll be 4-6 weeks.
Thank you so much for this video. I've just recently purchased the Bosch Rotak 370 ER. The video has been a great help to me, especially with assembling the mower together, as the instructions enclosed in the box are not very good, plus, I'm a disabled woman too. 😀
Thanks very much. Far clearer than the Bosch instructions. Worth including a reference to Rotac 37 14 Ergo in the links / title for that is what this now seems to be branded as.
Just got a Bosch 36r and this video helped immensely. Thank you. Oh, and the handle facing up is how mine is supposed to be, can’t speak for yours though matey.
Brilliant channel, I've already subscribed for your excellent spa tutorials, its so nice to see other products and you think of others/telling people about it. Such a good guy :)
Thanks for the kind words. It's appreciated. It's why I called the channel 'About the House' - - to provide all kinds of 'home based' tutorials, tips & tricks. The spa videos have taken off far beyond my expectations though. So glad I made them. I've got a few more in the pipeline too.
Fabulously clear instructions. Thank you, but, like another commentator, I would love to know how to fold away the handles. Nothing is said about this in the instructions, though the fact that it folds down (easily, apparently. NOT!) for storage is used as a major selling point. I can see that it involves some kind of ratchet system, but it’s failing me at the moment. Can you possibly help? Fingers crossed!
Thankyou so much for potting this video as after buying this mover I don't know how to install after watching the assembly drawing also it's make me confused.
Great video. I have an older 370 that appears to have given up the ghost. I am considering changing the switch in the handle circa £20. Comments on reviews of current model on various sites suggest that it is somewhat flimsier than the older model. Any thoughts? Do the handles fold down for storage?
how i got here i dont know, but i do like the look of the handles on that mower, definately look like they would work better how you have them, surely they would be too low if they were underneath..guess Bosch know best!
I agree with you, I think they'd be too low. The elderly neighbour I mentioned has hers above too. She loves the mower because it's so easy to use. The only difficulty she has with it is adjusting the cut height, so she keeps it on low and cuts regularly so the grass never gets too long for her. The handles are great though. Far better then the 'standard' fayre on mowers.
Hi A Great Video. Just one thing, I have a 10 year old ROTAK so knew about most assembly things. However like many others, on assembly of this one, the black power cable attachment caused all sorts of problems, (at least 10 minutes) trying to work out how and where to fit it. There is a hole on both the black cable fitting and the mower upright but no fixing point for it. Fitting it is absolutely nowhere on the assembly instructions supplied. The very latest one I downloaded from the Bosch website incorporate your solution. Regarding the handles BOSCH currently show them the wrong way down, so, Overall the assembly instructions are absolutely appalling leaving the customers in 29 countries totally confused. Several TH-cam assembly videos from such countries confirm this. It would be great if you could leave the shot of this part on the screen for a bit longer and explain it more, possibly in the video heading !!. I do wish that they hadn't abandoned the separate lead as, using an extension lead with a plug socket, is in my opinion highly dangerous. Waterproof/resistant extension leads are far safer.
Hi, Has anyone had any issues with the locking nut? Mine just snaps off if I turn the machine around. Can anybody help me with approximate number of screw turns which we can make this lock rigid please? I don’t want to snap it 😅

This was the most straightforward video to follow, with very simple instructions. Thank you.
The video was very useful. I used it to assemble my new mower.
Glad it helped
So glad I found this excellent video as the instructions looked like cartoons and completely baffled me .
Glad it was helpful!

Awesome, appreciate your input 👍
This is a cracking video with very clear still shots which solved several problems, and plenty of sound advice. Much appreciated.

Thank you, I got the handle the wrong way around! Enjoyed the way you showed me how to get it right.
Thank You So Much. Made my job easy

Biggest question lol... how do you fold it down for storage?
Bless you, sir! Very informative! Recently bought this for my mother, going to test it next week.
Thanks for doing this video. Helped me put together v quickly.
Your an absolute star 🌟 for this video thankyou so much you have helped me massively
You’re welcome 😊
Brilliant how-to vid, thanks for posting 😎 had my 10 year old follow it and he nailed the assembly 💪😁
Perfect assembly video!!!!Thanks
Well done. Brilliant video. Great T-shirt too.
Saw them at the NEC in 2011? backed by a 30pc orchestra. Freakin' awesome!
Thanks very much. Far clearer than the Bosch instructions. Worth including a reference to Rotac 37 14 Ergo in the links / title for that is what this now seems to be branded as.
Ah, okay. Thanks for that 👍

Perfect , you made it look so easy .
Thanks a lot !
That's because it is easy! Seriously, it's not difficult. If it's your first time, go steady: less haste, more speed!

Ah, okay. I hadn't realised this was an issue for people. I'll see what I can do for you
Thank you very much for these assembly instructions. Wouldn't have been able to assemble the lawnmower without them!
Cheers! Saved a lot of time and swearing. Handles are correct way up as per pictures on the box it came in.
Thanks James
Brilliant
Thanks.
Thank you po
Thankyou so much for potting this video as after buying this mover I don't know how to install after watching the assembly drawing also it's make me confused.
🎉thanks a bunch
Thanks
Mate, how do we store it? Can we lower down the handles before storing or do we need to remove them completely?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks a lot ! Your video was very helpful. I hope that you will do more similar one . ;-)
Great video! One question, how do you store it? Do you have to remove the handles etc?
does it fold up or do you have to keep it as it is after its all put together ?
How do uou keep the roller bar in place? Mine just falls out when up right

All holes line up with them upwards which they wouldn't if they were down, also far more control. Another Bosch Horlicks if you ak me !!!

Yeah, and a plug in power lead is easier to replace when you do eventually run over it and cut it, lol

At last a common sense video. My wheels are on at last
Awesome. Sense ain't as 'common' as it used to be, lol
Anyone else having problems with the wheels falling off all the time
Are you sure you have them assembled okay? Give them a good 'thwack' with the heel of your hand to make sure they are fully home.
give a big hit.
there is noisy sound click..
