Napier came 4th in super 8. And yet they dismantled Westlake that beat the 1A champs. John McGlashan were supposed to be the “real factory” and yet got absolutely dismantled by the super 8 runners up Ham boys. Super 8 is just on another level now and it will be for a long time

Super 8 has always been the hardest comp in NZ for a long time.

@@brokenjumpers5219 there are literally accounts and social media that are called “the real factory” that support JMG. And their fans were all saying they are the real factory on social media

Well done JMC to reach the semi's .. outstanding play from Hamilton who were quick to make the most their opportunities, ... the quality of first XV rugby in NZ this season has been on a whole new level, Great to see.

Honestly how good are HBHS. They must have such a good rugby programme.

These are the player's the NZRU need to try and keep in Rugby for the next 5 to 6 years.
The difficulty is, most of these guys will want to go to Uni as they see that route as a better road to success.
Maybe with the Silverlake deal, clubs can get some of these guys by offering to cover their Uni fees or provide trade apprenticeships if they play rugby for them for 4 to 5 years?
This way, the guys get an education with lower loans or come out as qualified tradies. The best part is, they now have choices, no matter what happens.

They can go to uni and play rugby. Lots of them do.

For a lifetime if you wanted to crack SS and get on the big stage you had to go to OB's if you were in the Otago area. Its good for rugby if there are more options for talented kids in the south.

But teams like Rotorua and Hastings boys only have around 500 students at their schools. But they will both beat McGlashan by 50. Honestly, super 8 is just on another level and South Island is so behind

@@abelthegoat2471 Those schools are the default sporting school for their large area. JMC has always been a small academic focused school, Otago boys and Kings high have always been the two dominant Dunedin schools for sport, it is no comparison

@@abelthegoat2471 Rotorua has 1000 and Hastings has 750 lol you have no clue. The Canterbury comp has a high standard and a dozen competitive teams so I'm not gonna hear it from someone who doesn't know enough

    • @abelthegoat2471

@@dan812 ok so why didn’t the teams from the Canterbury comp make it too 4? And what did the best team from South Island get absolutely demolished by a 2nd place team in the super 8 comp? And Rotorua has 750 students and Hastings also has 750. That’s only 200 more than mcglashan. So what’s the excuse for mcglashan? Having a little less students at their school? Rotorua with 750 students beat Ham boys with 2200 in the super 8 finals. They didn’t have any excuse

The competition is rigged as every year the Semis and Finals are played in the Waikato Area! The South Island teams should pull out and refuse to go to the Pig Island!
Look at the stats, how many AB's come from Canterbury verse Hamilton Boys High? Christchurch Boys High, St Andrews, St Bedes, Christ College, Nelson Boys High, Otago Boys High, Kings, Southland Boys High! Waikato, a what's his names Mitchell, and now Foster the worst AB's coaches of all time!
Its time for the South Island to stand up! Tell the Pig Islanders to get stuffed! Hamilton boys High has no class!

It is still the North Island, and as I have said there are no School Boy Rugby Semi's or Finals played in the South Island! Not even once in 3 years which would be a population proportionate basis!
Research it please!!!! North Island Biase is alive and well in the Pig Island. Thanks for sending Te Rapruahaha down here.

You’re complaining about nothing 🤣🤣 it’s been the same every year. It doesn’t matter where you play these games, why should they pull out just cause these games aren’t played in the South Island??? Makes no sense bro 😂 rugby is rugby, if your school is good you’ll make it here. And yes schools in the South Island, especially the Canterbury area produce many all blacks, but saying they should pull out cause games are played in this area, is stupid who cares. Top 4 is at the same place every damn year!
