    On my dually Dodge the rear wheels whee welded on with rust. I had to build brackets to go into the wheels and use a puller. The 40" tires and aluminum wheels are actually lighte. The worst wheel only took 3 Onz of weight to balance so that's amazing.👍

    The new wheels and tyres look great! Are you considering a body/suspension lift as now with the larger tyres there is not as much suspension travel before the wheel well of the cab hits the top of the tyre.

      Thank you. We're planning to keep the entering hight as low as possible, out of personal preference and health reasons.

    What difference has it made to revs at 100km/h with the increased diameter? Did you re-calibrate the speedometer?

      Thanks for your comment ! Unfortunately I can't answer that yet because I have not driven the truck on the road since the conversion, but I am going to adjust the speedometer !

    Looks great. Have the larger tyres increased the width and is there a requirement to widen the mudguards.

      Thank you ! Yes they have increased the width a little. At the front they fit the existing mud guards and at the rear I have to fabricate new mud guards anyway. Because the old ones had been mounted permanently to the utility box which is gone.

      Reach to within 8 inches of the ground (AZ, DE, MO, and TX are examples). ...
      Extend down from the top of the tire at least the same distance as the width of the tires (MD is an example of a state that has this).
      Cover 2/5 of the vertical tire area (MS is 2/5, several states say 1/2 to 2/3). ...

      is above the ground by only one-third the horizontal distance from the bottom of the overhang or mud flap/guard to the center of the wheel.

    Truck looks fantastic with the new tires and wheels - looks much more aggressive!
    Were the rims a Mercedes part, or were they from an aftermarket company? I am guessing since they are 20" wheels, they are a European (or possibly Australian?) product.
    Thanks!

    How could the rear wheel be a single wheel? What was the procedure done? Because there was a protrusion where the wheel was attached and it disappeared. (I don't know the English name of the place where the rear wheel is mounted)

    • @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF
      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is absolute nothing to it ! Take the dual wheels off and install a single wheel done ! Cheers

      @@atill-w6s I left the original height but you can lift it with spacers and longer U-bolts.
