Little tip. If you want to do Valley of Repose on Day 6 instead of 7 then hold off on doing the Citadel of Spiders until later. Otherwise you'll have too much money. You'd need to reach Day 6 with any amount between 6585 and 7980 Pokos, otherwise you'll hit the debt too early and the day will be forced to end.
Extremely well done with this part, and same as the first, saving the Yellow Pikmin, and finding all sorts of Treasure, learning more about creatures, and more cooking. and more treasure. Though now comes the cave adventures next. Keep doing amazing.

do you believe that pikmin 4 is a story reboot? I've seen a lot of discussion online and personally I'm kind of waiting for the full game, but leaning more towards it being a retelling pikmin 1, although I'd rather have it take place in the same canon, there's a lot of weird phrasing that makes that less likely
I heard the localization actually words it differently and this IS supposed to be a new Olimar crash and not a reboot, but we'll see. Don't want to rule out either.
The Pikmin wiki has all the possible emails in their "Mail" page. Obviously it contains spoilers, but you can read them by sections as I progress through the debt.

Glad to see you're replaying Pikmin 1 and 2, i don't think 3 will be neccesary since you have 2 playthroughs in 2 different versions of the game
