Hot summer nights in 2008. At a small cafe in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After closing time we would crank this album, crack some beers and play cards long past midnight... good times.
smiling knowing how many ipods i had lost or had stolen always with good music including girl talk....always have to wonder if the next owner ever indulges in the prior owners taste.
I lost an iPod somewhere between 3 job sites and always hoped someone found it and just listened to it on shuffle for at least an hour. At the time I had like... Riff Raff and Juicy J and Animal Collective and Deerhunter and Medeski Martin & Wood and Donovan and Aphex Twin on it. Girl Talk was unfortunately out of rotation by 2015... but he stayed on there for a damn long time before that.
Haven't listened to this in over a decade and I still remember all the transitions lol. Got to see ya'll live in NY a couple times. I rarely dance in public anymore for the sake of society but those were good times
My dad bought this on CD when it first came out and I remember listening to it every day and memorizing the transitions and mash-ups. Been a while since I listened to it
Okay guys, obviously the best moment is at 11:29 when Dave Grohl's drumming from Nirvana gives way to Pharcyde which then triples with Elton John and then Biggie kicks in... yeaaaaaa
I remember being 19 when this came out and going to college parties with this playing . Every person in the whole place just drunk AF dancing to this whole album
Samuel Brown literally what? Night ripper came out in 2006 when I was like 18 going on 19 and I heard it at house parties in 2007. I’m 33. Not sure if you’re not good at math or if you thought this came out in the late 1980’s 15-25 years before all of these songs were even released .
lol same most of the parties I attended involved lots of cheap liquor and pbr acquired through friends or shouldertapping, oh and lots of hookah too and clove cigarettes those were popular at the time xD
Paul's Boutique blew my mind. Then The Grey Album took it up a notch. Then this. I am scared my head will blow up like Scanners with whatever levels up on this...
fucking badass album to listen to on long, boring, and monotonous road trips. Personally my fav album next to All Day. Can't even guesstimate how many people have looked at me as a maniac driving and jiving to this.
Keatononame this couldn't be more correct, i was on a road trip recently and it just made the hours fly by i also use it while working and because of the monotony of my job it's perfect for it
This has a wee bit of everything. Lovin it. Especially the 90s hip hop that was thrown in. I even laughed when I heard the guitar riff from 'Wonderwall' at the beginning.
This concert in Bloomington indiana was INSANE. It was sponsored by victoria's secret and was held outside in a rain storm. The college for months after was trying to sue either Girl Talk or Victoria's Secret to pay for the damage we all did to the lawn in the park from dancing and raising hell. AMAZING TIME
I saw some WoW video (mage rogue tbc pvp I think for any fellow TURBO NERDS) that had Too Deep. I was on a mission to find out what the hell it was, the video didn't mention the soundtrack. And aunt of mine was around and I had her listen and she pointed out Elton John-Tiny Dancer. I didn't think she knew wth she was talking about, but lo and behold I found this artist and album off of that. This is one of my all time favorite albums!
"What are you going to stumble upon today cairo?" WELL i found this pretty kickass artist called Girl Talk. Don't let the name fool you. It's chill as fuck.
when the video started i was like "alright so far pretty interesting something sounds familiar" then the baseline to Foreplay/Longtime came in "you have my attention now!"
Uh Hugh jass??? I'm Hugh jass; telephone!. Hello, this is hugh jass. Uh hi :) . who is this?!? uh.. Bart simpson.. well what can I do for you Bart? (Uh), Listen mister, I'll level with you; this is a crank call that sort of.. back fired, and I'd like to bail out right now. -ok- hugh straighten his necktie-- :), say: What a nice young man!!. :) :)
Hey Gregg! Its Georgs.K from Back Home , Not there, bout to move to Cali, I remember showing you Coil and other weird music back in day, Glad u made it bro, Intelligence does make Best music , jammin to you now, made the night, Thanks n keep it up, lil choppy but Cool af and Great selections, def a chick magnet lol
2024 We still listening. Absolutely legendary!
I feel lucky to be able to listen to this for the first time in 2024.
Awwww❤

Discovered this on an ipod I bought on ebay in 2007 that was supposed to have been reset. Best mistake, so much good music on there
Best mashup artists you must look up: Super Mash Bros., Milkman, The White Panda, Dj Earworm

@@mostlytrash960 It sucks that someone stole your shit, but hopefully they found some music on there that helped them become a better human

1:26 Is our greatest achievement in all of music. It’s so absurd and brilliant
I was listening to this while working today and even though I knew it was coming, I still laughed my a** off.

Turned 51 this year. I am your Dad. Tell me how many tunes you have since hunted down, cos I hear you.
12:17 is one of the greatest moments in music history. It’s the combo I never knew I needed
Oh my God I never realized how life changing this album was/is (born in 89)
When this first came out a bunch of us music geeks would try to name the source of all the samples. It was as much fun as music nerd could’ve had.
You have to commit to this album. You don’t just listen to a few tracks. You ride it all the way out and enjoy every moment
That why girl talk is my favorite mashup artist
You have to, all his albums are like a story.
#truth... I miss riding on the highway in the middle of the night.....with this album Pounding on my 15s...
I agree, I've noticed that with all of this guy's albums... best mashups I've heard. First, too.
The last track wraps the whole thing up. You don't get closure til "get on my level." And that sound.
One of my most favorite albums ever.
Okay guys, obviously the best moment is at 11:29 when Dave Grohl's drumming from Nirvana gives way to Pharcyde which then triples with Elton John and then Biggie kicks in... yeaaaaaa
Alright, I don't know what part is actually best lol, but yeah, that's awesome. The way he does this music is just ingenious.

I've used this to wake up and do p90x for years now! So many days I would have skipped if it wasn't for the upbeat music
that bittersweet symphony/ying yang twins mashup shouldve been a whole track....
I concur.

Gregg Gillis is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of partying with.
This should have way more views and way more likes cuz this shit is sick

What’s the backing at the 6:30 area? It’s so familiar but I can’t place it
