I was talking with a friend about Wes and all the work he has been doing with manuscripts and Biblical language. My friend said that he already knew most of this information from Dan Wallace. I told him I did too but that wasn't my point. Dan Wallace is 72 years old. We need more youngsters to start stepping up to continue to do the work he and others like him have been doing because we won't have them around much longer. So I'm glad to see as I enter my 60s that there are plenty of experts coming on to the scene to keep doing this kind of work for the Kingdom. Bless you brothers!

When I saw Billy on PBD podcast, I was genuinely disappointed and wondering why he would have someone on whose aim is to lead people away from Christ and sow doubt in hearts. Something seemed and felt so incredibly off and sinister about Billy. He came off very foolish in his knowledge, to me, as someone who’s a novice apologetics student. Wes, you put on a master class! Billy’s response since then has done more to expose his true nature. He’s inhabited by a vile spirit and possesses so much vitriol for God the Father and Christians alike. However, it’s clear that he lacks an understanding of the context of biblical narrative and he’s trying to dismantle it from an elementary level comprehension of the topic. It’s sad.

I had just discovered Wes maybe a month or so before the debate and was really impressed with him. I believe I was searching for presentations on the reliability of the Protestant canon to address claims from LDS apologists. I sense that the LDS church is entering a new and dangerous phase of their existence, which is not so much a new phase, but a return to a prior phase.

Billy's race rant was confusing, because on one hand in the video Billy makes himself out to be super famous, super knowledgeable, super rich, and God, yet is trying to invoke some sympathy, saying Wes is racists. Ironically that was the only fact he got right through this whole thing. That Billy accurately distinguished that he is black, and Wes is white.

I think my cringe moment was when Billy said the Sinai Bible was from Mount Sinai, I think by that point most of us knew that he was trying to refer to the Codex Sinaiticus but with his surface knowledge he immediately went to pairing it with Mount Sinai and we well know what happened there.

The fact that a person can only speak confidently to a captive audience who cannot challenge is a clue that something is suspect. Was so encouraged by the conversation (spanking) between Huff and Carson. I had never heard of either of them. Heard about it through the Wise Disciple channel. My first thought when I watched Wes humbly answer every one of Billy’s falsehoods was “the gates of hell will not stand against the church”. The Gospel will stand and will go forth. Nothing will stop it. Praying for you all today. Praying for protection from evil as you do this so very important work for His glory.

I didn’t think this was the case, but apparently I’ve been living under a rock. I did NOT know who Billy Carson or Wes Huff was before this debate and the blow up afterwards. I’m sure glad Billy tried to suppress the truth, because if he hadn’t I don’t think I would’ve ever stumbled upon Wes Huff. Wes is a gladiator for Christ and I’ve since subscribed and watched a lot of his videos(which are resources.) I am a Bible believing born again Christian who lives in Buffalo New York so pretty close to Wes in Toronto. I hope one day to meet Wes and thank him for his work for Christ. All Glory to Jesus Christ and the Biblical Triune God!

When I saw Billy on PBD podcast, I was genuinely disappointed and wondering why he would have someone on whose aim is to lead people away from Christ and sow doubt in hearts. Something seemed and felt so incredibly off and sinister about Billy. He came off very foolish in his knowledge, to me, as someone who’s a novice apologetics student.
Wes, you put on a master class! Billy’s response since then has done more to expose his true nature. He’s inhabited by a vile spirit and possesses so much vitriol for God the Father and Christians alike. However, it’s clear that he lacks an understanding of the context of biblical narrative and he’s trying to dismantle it from an elementary level comprehension of the topic. It’s sad.
Exactly. When I saw him on SRS I was like 🥱🙄😑🤦🏻♀️ skipped that episode because he repeats the same nonsense and claims to be an “expert”. I believe SRS took down that video. I can’t find it on his pages. Sure glad he did. Billy under the spiritual stage he’s in, is not someone you want to keep close or close to your children. Praying for Carson and his children. Those kids are growing up listening to their dad speak so much negativity on God, who Jesus is.

I had just discovered Wes maybe a month or so before the debate and was really impressed with him. I believe I was searching for presentations on the reliability of the Protestant canon to address claims from LDS apologists. I sense that the LDS church is entering a new and dangerous phase of their existence, which is not so much a new phase, but a return to a prior phase.

Billy's race rant was confusing, because on one hand in the video Billy makes himself out to be super famous, super knowledgeable, super rich, and God, yet is trying to invoke some sympathy, saying Wes is racists. Ironically that was the only fact he got right through this whole thing. That Billy accurately distinguished that he is black, and Wes is white.
Wes is the man! Glad I've been introduced to him through Carson's debacle. Would love to have him speak at the apologetics event we have here in Ottawa.

I was so glad to finally see someone challenge and debunk the nonsense Billy spread. I could barely contain myself While watching the debate. West was so polite and respectful and he had receipts. There were points in the debate Billy did not respond ye or ne to, he simply went on to another point in the debate. And the video afterwards where Billy talked about poor people and poor dumb people not knowing anything, was inexcusable. I was so disgusted with Billy by this time, he made having a 9-5 seem like a dirty thing. West did a great job pulling the mask off this guy. Great job West,

I think my cringe moment was when Billy said the Sinai Bible was from Mount Sinai, I think by that point most of us knew that he was trying to refer to the Codex Sinaiticus but with his surface knowledge he immediately went to pairing it with Mount Sinai and we well know what happened there.
One of the hallmarks of solid ideas is being able to stand up to public scrutiny. The fact that a person can only speak confidently to a captive audience who cannot challenge is a clue that something is suspect. If Bill is to gain respect and credibility based on his claims of expertise, he must stand in the public sphere and defend his ideas. Bring real objections so that people can respect him

Was so encouraged by the conversation (spanking) between Huff and Carson. I had never heard of either of them. Heard about it through the Wise Disciple channel. My first thought when I watched Wes humbly answer every one of Billy’s falsehoods was “the gates of hell will not stand against the church”. The Gospel will stand and will go forth. Nothing will stop it. Praying for you all today. Praying for protection from evil as you do this so very important work for His glory.
It's crazy that Billy has been pushing his narrative for years, and not once has he been challenged or fact/source checked. Probably lends to the virality of the situation, Wes effortlessly wrecked Billy's entire schtick. And the fact Wes was just looking for an exchange of info and facts, and Billys reaction just sent the situation into the stratosphere. Keep spreading truth, love and understanding.
