Bull****, Mr Mukherjee is new joker in the pack. He hallucinate numbers on his own and has an art of story telling which is completely flawed. MEDIA supporting because of obvious vested interest.
Check Relaxo and compare his version and actual facts is completely flawed.
Further check Asian Paints, his version and actual numbers are completely flawed. His God knows, how Asian Paints is making money in 8 days, 4 times stock rotation in a day. If thats the case, why reported inventory turnover is 3 to 4 times which means stock rotates an average 90 to 120 days. His Asian Paint version is 4 times a day.
Again he will tell Asian Paints doubles sales in every 3 to 4 years, check that version as well, if that has been the case last 20 years.
He is just making fun of all the guys and people are falling for his amusing wisdom.
As per him, only his selected stocks are Star and rest are duds.
This is not to malice him or anyone else. I found this stupid, so thougj of replying back.
He seems to potray just to sell his own gyan, marketing his portfolio so that people emulate and these stocks start going up. He is marketing his books and just pushing sales for it to earn our of it.
      He is a great FLAW.
I read coffee can and there are several basic flaws, one can apply their wisdom to find all these glaring mistakes.
His story of compunding too is amusing. Only his GOD knows from where is he deriving such compounding numbers. Actual financials, reported, speak a different story. And as per him, these companies are the pristine among the lots, so you cannot question their financials, unless Management shares different version of balance sheet with Mr. SM.
      Happy Investing

I don't think most people noticed, but Mr. Mukherjea was smart enough to bash the journalist in his own way, multiple times during the conversation. Now I have even more respect for this man.
These mighty journalists think they know everything 'bout the market just because they've interviewed a bunch of people who belong to the market. And, no doubt, he would have known a lot, only if he did listen to what the gurus had to say instead of trying to prove his smart ass.

@@moneymug if you check life insurance sector you can see lic is losing its market share slowly to other pvt players and the one which most benefited is hdfc life , so in long run like 5 to 10 yrs they will come out on top.

@@koustubhpatil8082 its good to be positive for HDFC life but its high in market price and doesn't justify so much valuation. Life Insurance is low penetrated sector in India. Every company is poised to grow including LIC. LIC's listing will bring more competitiveness , cost cutting , customer catching and this will check the performance of private players. NO matter what may be the arguments in favour of private insurance players, once listed, I will stick to the only giant in India's insurance sector i.e the LIC.

This is the Problem with these so called Market Gurus. They are so self consumed and opinionated that they become preys of their on prejudices. As a case in point ,Compare the claims and actuals). The Reliance Share has appreciated 25 % over the Last One Year.(A ₹3,000-crore fund manager explains why he won't buy RIL, why he sold ITC and bought HDFC Life) and HDFC Life has gone down over 18 % over the Last One Year. Now Let Us tell you why You are a Humbug.

Reliance has an equity & reserves of Rs.490,000 crores. The company generate a free cash flow of just about 40,000 crores which comes to just about 8%. Now if anyone put such a large sum of money in bank you earn similar return. RIL is also miserly giving a dividend 60 to 80%. Which works out to Rs.8.0 which is 0.4% to market price.
Ideally one should calculate the earning to book value. If the earnings are not much then either there is inefficiency of networth or inflated networth. Now RIL which has a book value of Rs.800 is earning just about 60 per share. This clearly shows that efficiency of fund is not good or the networth is inflated. To me RIL today is over valued & it's earning will catch up to its today's price only in 2024.

PE is used to compare in terms of multiples in FCFE and not that normal one you think of. Please do MBA before commenting such. Nifty PE is different because you can't compare it with stocks and stocks' PE has to do with multiple cash flow purposes
