I was laughing! "Their website was awful. It didn't have any information on the sesame chicken or the seafood delight." That's because you went to the wrong place!
Hey Ken, I hate to break it to you, but I think you went to a fake Panda Express because the packaging is off from a real Panda Express and I'm pretty sure that they don't serve Seafood Delight...
That seafood dish looked absolutely disgusting. As someone who has frequented a legitimate chinese restaurant, trying Panda Express for the first time was such a disappointment. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, but seeing this confirms my assumptions. Their food is garbage.
The gooey stuff in the seafood dish is corn starch. It's used a lot in Chinese cooking to thicken and bring together sauces and to give the food a nice sheen. If you overuse it, it can get clumpy and form random gooey/stringy bits which is probably what you had there.
I'm a huge fan of sushi too, Ken! Can never get enough of that! I sometimes hit up Panda Express once in a blue moon. My fiance, on the other hand, is part Chinese so we usually go for "real" Chinese food... ;-) That Sesame Chicken looked outstanding though! Love your fortune at the end! Talent, my friend! 'Nuff said!
Never been to Panda Express, but those prices are Crazy! I love wonton soup and dumplings from our Chinese Restaurant. I'd like to try crab rangoons! Great review Ken as always! Take Care :D
+leeyang1990 its not disgusting, most of panda express food are just Americanized dishes created by immigrants during their time in the states. I'm Chinese American and I think authentic chinese dishes are cook in a completely different way though. But Panda Express is definitely not something I wouldn't say authentic lol
I'm done watching your videos, I watched 5 videos in a row and 5 times in a row I get 30 second unskipable commercials. There are more important things in this world than money Ken
I love an honest opinion! My go to for comfort food is Panda Express. I get a totally different order. I get the Lo mein, Teriyaki Chicken, Mushroom Chicken & Coke...my mouths watering now!!! 👍
It's corn starch used as a thickener with either stock or water and flavoring. Used to coat everything. Looks hideous like snot. LOL - great vid as usual.
shouldn't have watched this at almost 4am. starviiiiiiiing now haha. sesame chicken looks brilliant. think i'll go for a chinese buffet later on today now haha
How could you not know that this place was NOT a Panda Express franchise? You should have known what the Panda Express logo looks like. Google is your friend.
i live down in Texas...... there is one of these Panda Express down the street from my house I am wanting to try it now .....seafood delight seems expensive but ill try the sesame chicken or something......good review .....just found your channel and like it.
Hi Ken! Have you tried the Panda Express in mississauga? If so would you consider it to be (and offer) the same products as the ones in America? As you know, love your content! :)
I wonder what kind of Panda Express you went to. I've been to many in many states and I've never seen that logo or have seen that packaging before. I've never heard of the seafood delight there either haha. It doesn't look like the usual Panda Express. Looks delicious though!
***** never tried panda express on Puerto rico But ill try to find one and Im more of a Mexican or Italian kind of food but you should try Puerto rican food one day man.
The gelatinous stuff is the sauce that has been made with corn starch... Unless its uber fresh or hot.... its going to look ahem, uh.... snotty. As always, love love love you!! Their orange chicken is wonderful, btw...
When you scrape your chopsticks like that in a restaurant, it shows that you think the place is cheap. It's like a slap in the face to the restaurant owners. Not very good etiquette if you do that.
The chopstick thing you did....make sure you don't do it in sushi restaurant....you will make the chef really really mad....its kinda disrespectful to them cause they will think the chopstick quality isn't good enough that you have to do that.
Love broccoli in my chinese too! If you ever visit Australia, make sure to try North Garden Chinese Restaurant in Brisbane, their food is incredibly good.
I'm watching this at 2:30am and I decide to eat some of the baby corn I have in the fridge. Partially asleep, I go to the fridge and grab one of the covered cans. I get back to bed, open it, and realized that it was dog food. Woke my dog up! Definitely NOT what I wanted!
im sure that gelatinous type sauce is a chinese style sauce thickened with what they always use.. corn starch... americans use a roux most of the time to thicken and chinese mostly use corn starch or corn flour, basically the same exact thing.. I use corn starch at work to thicken chicken pot pie filling all the time
Restaurants would go bankrupt or not experience much success if they sold authentic chinese food in north america or europe. most of us would gag if things like tofu, chicken feet etc were the main protein sources instead of chicken beef or pork. They don't even use broccoli in real chinese food. Although unhealthy, if I HAD to eat "chinese food", which I never do, especially the deep fried american chinese food, I would take the westernized version any day.
I am offended there is many tasty Chinese food It's just most people don't no them. Everyone expects Chinese food to be weird, but it's not. There's spicy beef with chopped scallions in them there's also dumplings. Plus I'm Chinese
Randy Wang i was speaking from a business stand point. authentic chinese will never blossom in north america. i dont see the need to be offended. its common sense. man the F up.
lol he went to a bootleg panda express hahaah
Ramzi Doudar nah he went to a completely different place. The place he went to was a mom and pop kinda restaurant
I was laughing! "Their website was awful. It didn't have any information on the sesame chicken or the seafood delight." That's because you went to the wrong place!
sopiha watkins I have no idea. Looks like a collection of shellfish and veggies in some form of gelatinous ooze.
Hey Ken, I hate to break it to you, but I think you went to a fake Panda Express because the packaging is off from a real Panda Express and I'm pretty sure that they don't serve Seafood Delight...
It turns out that it was a totally different company :O Oops!

As someone who has frequented a legitimate chinese restaurant, trying Panda Express for the first time was such a disappointment. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, but seeing this confirms my assumptions. Their food is garbage.

Laughed so hard looking at the knockoff picture of Panda Express but I'm pretty sure it's delicious
I actually think that that Panda Express looks better than the one in th USA.(my opinion don't go crazy)

i live down in Texas...... there is one of these Panda Express down the street from my house I am wanting to try it now .....seafood delight seems expensive but ill try the sesame chicken or something......good review .....just found your channel and like it.
Hi Ken! Have you tried the Panda Express in mississauga? If so would you consider it to be (and offer) the same products as the ones in America? As you know, love your content! :)
You deserved a thumb up from me... AS ALWAYS!
:D
I wonder what kind of Panda Express you went to. I've been to many in many states and I've never seen that logo or have seen that packaging before. I've never heard of the seafood delight there either haha. It doesn't look like the usual Panda Express. Looks delicious though!
A Canadian company just happens to have the same name :(
***** never tried panda express on Puerto rico But ill try to find one and Im more of a Mexican or Italian kind of food but you should try Puerto rican food one day man.
The logo should have been a dead give away.
The gelatinous stuff is the sauce that has been made with corn starch... Unless its uber fresh or hot.... its going to look ahem, uh.... snotty. As always, love love love you!! Their orange chicken is wonderful, btw...
Haha Ken you make my day!
When you scrape your chopsticks like that in a restaurant, it shows that you think the place is cheap. It's like a slap in the face to the restaurant owners. Not very good etiquette if you do that.
But, it's Panda Express
+CommanderWolffe still it's disrespectful and it's better he doesn't make that mistake in the future in a better restaurant
+relatablair who cares customer is always right
Oh no, you're not to stick the chopsticks in the food like that. It represents death.
I know now, sorry! It won't happen again :(
:)
caribqueeninjapan :v
It represents s offering food for the dead when the chopsticks are like that
+Jovani Delgado You cracked me up lol

Thanks ken
I will try panda express if I come to Toronto thnx Ken for a amazing review
The chopstick thing you did....make sure you don't do it in sushi restaurant....you will make the chef really really mad....its kinda disrespectful to them cause they will think the chopstick quality isn't good enough that you have to do that.
I saw Japanese people do that a lot in Tokyo.
Lol ken, idk why but I cracked up when you cursed. XD
Ken! What do you do for a living?
TH-cam
Logic: damn this chicken is sweet, "let me drink some coke to take away the heat"
i love Panda Express! i love how you can try the meat you want before ordering. i love the orange chicken, burban chicken, etc.
While it's named Panda Express, this is not the chain/fast food Panda Express you have the logo of in the thumbnail.
Try the Panda Express chain restaurant orange chicken and fried rice!!! It's bomb!!!
With a dr pepper too
Love broccoli in my chinese too!
If you ever visit Australia, make sure to try North Garden Chinese Restaurant in Brisbane, their food is incredibly good.
Cool chop stick tip, looked pretty much what I get here.
You come to Brockville, and I will treat you to THE best Chinese food I've ever had, Ken.

Here in California we have so many locations of Panda Express!
Lucky yoy
I love Chinese food. We have a couple of good places here that serve authentic stuff and the Golden Dragon chain is my favourite.
Looks delicious!

My favorite .. Sesame chicken yum yum it's been forever since I've had any.We have them here in the Raleigh NC area. Never been there.
never been big on chinese foods vegetable meat mixture but chinese rice, eggrolls, sweet n sour chicken balls are the BOMB
The orange chicken is amazing and crunchy
How do you edit your videos I love u btw
I'm the only one in my whole family who knows how to eat with chopsticks. LOL
Man nothing beats a new KBD food review!!
Hey. just had a thought. you need to do the taco bell breakfast. what's the hype all about?
KEN!!!! The egg stuff is calamari. The gelatinous stuff is just a thickened sauce, mostly cornstarch and probably some sort of broth
I've eaten lots of calamari in my life and that was not it. It was more like a flat dumpling.
Probably tofu then
Hey Ken, you should try Big Bone BBQ in Markham, Ontario. Great Ribs omg
im sure that gelatinous type sauce is a chinese style sauce thickened with what they always use.. corn starch... americans use a roux most of the time to thicken and chinese mostly use corn starch or corn flour, basically the same exact thing.. I use corn starch at work to thicken chicken pot pie filling all the time
Well this was in Canada.
Yea I work at panda and it is cornstarch and water
Whoa $23?! Other than that, solid review as always!!
Hey, Ken! You haven't tasted fantastic sesame chicken until you try it from my restaurant!!
Ken would you please tell me where this is located? I live in Ontario as well and have always loved the panda express in the states!
It turns out that it was a totally different company :O Oops!
Panda Express isn't real Chinese food it's Americanized Chinese food
All Chinese food in America is Americanized.
***** thats not true you can find authentic chinese food in most china towns especially here in Toronto
Restaurants would go bankrupt or not experience much success if they sold authentic chinese food in north america or europe. most of us would gag if things like tofu, chicken feet etc were the main protein sources instead of chicken beef or pork. I'm eating Panda Express right now lol.
Great job. Egg rolls rock!!!

Are you wearing Oakley glasses? I just noticed that the back doesn't curve over your ears, just the same as my pair.
Lmao what Panda Express it that? Hahahahahaha ha
