How an impeller works

After a fair few requests, here is a video explaining how an outboard water pump works.
Also I run through the reasons that the impeller needs to be changed at regular intervals.

If the tell tale is still pushing water out with good pressure is that an indicator of a good impeler or should you change it annualy anyway ? Love your vids mate. 👍

Hi mate,
It is an indicator that the impeller is pumping but doesn’t mean that the impeller is pumping as much as it should.
Check how often you should change the impeller for your motor but most of the time it’s around 12 months.
Definitely before two years.
