I'm re-reading Sullivan's book The Miracle Detective and once again am struck by how extraordinary it is: brilliantly written, deeply moving, and utterly persuasive, while also containing a kind of potted history of the Balkans and the subsequent civil war and the depths of depravity on ALL sides that took place--stuff that will chill the blood. I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially for those of you of scepitcal nature. Also, there were two occasions reading the book late at night in bed when I was so spooked by what I read that I literally got out of bed and blessed myself with the bottle of holy water I keep on my bedside locker with my rosary beads. And let me tell you something--it takes a lot to spook a big, strapping six-footer like me. There is a follow on part to this story which many people do not know - as soon I heard Randall mention ' French Nun's ' I thought of Lourdes in France another Marian apparition location surrounding a young girl called Bernadette Soubirous in the late 1800's she later was canonised as St.Bernadette of Lourdes About a year later on from this video Randall saw a photo of St. Bernadette and he confirmed that was the girl he saw with the nuns on the mountain 🙏
Oh my gosh, I am just reading this for the first time. That is a wonderful, wonderful miracle. I was thinking the girl was Bless Virgin Mary. I would love to see the video where he says it was St. Bernadette. Just to see it. I believe it without seeing it, but just the same.
Just read Randall Sullivan's "Miracle Detective." He is a wonderful writer, treats the subject matter objectively and includes a great deal of research from many respected resources. I too have been to Medjugorje once. I found a peace there that is difficult to described.
Can't wait to go back to Medjugorge! I too felt peace and love when I was there. Another great story was that during the Croatian/Bosnian war, there were many bombs dropped on Medjugorge, however, not one detonated! The communists who bombed it stated that nothing detonated because the ground was too soft in Medjugorge. Anyone who's been there or lived there, knows that there's nothing but rocks 😂

Id challenge any one to go there and come back as the same as they were when they went there .When i went 1st time i thought what brought me to this God forsaken place but I have gone back 7 or 8 times. @@knockknock999 Sorry but im afraid I totally disagree with your views on Medjugorje. Mainly because I am a witness to the power of this place. Medjugorje has changed my life for the better. I was living an atheistic life. Now after Medjugorje i have returned to the Catholic faith after 20 years, got our marriage blessed in the church, baptised our children and got our eldest to recieve 1st holy communion. Peace has returned to our family and my eldest son actively preaches to his friends. Medjugorje has changed so many lives. Some good examples are: Canon Don Elvir Tabakovic (Ex Celeb photographer), Fr Rick Wendell (Ex Rich Businessman) Fr Michael Lightner (Ex NFL prospect) Deacon Dave Leatherby (Incredible story) All testimonies on UTube. So sorry my friend you are wrong Medjugorje has had far too many good fruits born from this place. Fatima and Lourdes are great places also and i am a big fan of these places but so is Medjugorje.
