- Come along and look back at a classic “web” series of Roger King’s Spider-Man and watch me remake his costume with a modern spin to it.

Roger mistakingly ordering his costume in velvet honestly feels like something Peter Parker would do.
That WOULD be Parker Luck done in the most hilarious way. I could see it happening too. 😂😂
Peter’s Web was such a classic. The snappy action and the well done yet simple VFX really made it stand out. Those web shooter effects are still beautiful to this day.
Roger explained how he did the cool effect for the webs. He got a piece of rope and actually got someone to wiggle the webs off camera, pulled when he looked away and edited the footage in reverse and sped it up. That way it looked like the webs thwipped really fast. It’s such a neat trick.
ON GAWD
7:50 Humming/singing a bunch of Spider-Man themes while working on a Spider suit is such a good vibe.
I think the next time you do a Spider-man costume when puff painting, you should use liquid latex and the puffy paint mixture together so they're less likely to crack when you stretch out the fabric.
Good suggestion! I’ll consider that with any future suits
Peter web’s is one of the greatest adaptations of Spider-Man what makes it even better is that he didn’t use cgi
I remember watching some of that series on TH-cam as a kid or preteen. Cheap, yes, but nonetheless impressive and passionate fan films that faithfully adapt as much source material as possible which I can whole heartily respect. Great job on the suit too!
All the brothers remember this series
I totally remember watching Peter’s webs on TH-cam when I was younger. Also love the suit you made.
When you talked about the black suit and how roger made it, I was literally just wearing the exact T-shirt (which was double sided) and here I am saying “huh…would you look at that. I’m wearing the exact shirt he got the logo from”. I even realized that when re-watching the series again
I legit debated on making my version with that same shirt. Still am tbh.
It’s a good way to save any hassle making the logo yourself. Whether it’s with white fabric or puff paint, it’s possible, it takes more time and effort. But this method works too.
Perfect suit, it’s one of the more realistic renditions of a Spider-Man suit and I love that sorta thing
Roger did a great job making his Spider-Man costume! 👍🏻🤟🏻
I love the pine playing in the background, it's crazy how well Roger expressed himself in different forms of art
Finally! Someone caught on!
I selected my favourite songs from him to put in here. It’s so great he worked on music. It also fitted the vibe of what the show went for so I wanted to make a tribute to him in more ways than one.
@@hexenbex I'm so happy he's getting recognition, he's so underrated.
Such an underrated costume that literally feels like something he would put together at home, and arguable one of the most accurate adaption when it comes to live action ( and this is coming from someone who worships the Rami films)
You get it!
It’s really awesome how Peter’s Web is old but still charming
Okay I'm gonna say it, roger made his suit way more authentically than Godzilla Mendoza did, he actually made the eyes instead of just buying goggles and attaching them to the mask, the suit had a much better spider logo that was unique to his suit, yes it looks very similar to the 2002 logo but there are some differences, the colours are much better, the peters web suit is genuinely in my opinion a perfect adaptation of the classic Spiderman costume not only because it looks comic accurate while still looking great in live action but the way it was made was probably the most authentic way someone has made a Spidey suit, the stirrups on the ankles especially give me such a homemade feel to it, I watched peters web multiple times as a teenager now I'm 22 and have started cosplaying Spiderman myself, true maybe other suits have alot more flash to them but the peters web will probably remain the most accurate suit for a long time not only in its design but also how it was made, also the happy Halloween motherf*** will forever remain in my heart,
you made my childhood dream a reality, MAKING THIS SUIT
Roger king is like the real life more realistic Spider-Man
This video gives off the energy of something made in 2013
Man takes me back to my childhood. I could never keep up the with it though as I didn't have many laptop and internet privileges ha.
thank you, thank you, and thank you! I loved this series, and the suit!
Really love the materials he made for his suit.
I totally agree! I love this web series so much with how comic accurate everything is including the costumes/props and story.I love the retro 90s/2000s feel of it which defines the times.I feel this web series doesn't get enough attention it deserves because its amazing! I wish the series would've continued like maybe a season two but its ok on its own.Nice job recreating this awsome costume! my second favorite costume out of the series is green goblin and id love to recreate that goblin or maybe id like to see you try it.Hard part is finding the goblin mask.Anyway thanks for making a video on this fan series! Excelsior!!
Wow I keep re-watching your video over and over. You are both entertaining and inspiring . I'm not old enough to have the money to make my own spidey suit (that isnt a home-made suit from the movies). Maybe when i'm 17 or older ill have the time and resources.
I was on the same boat as you at your age. Had to wait till I made my own money to get and make suits. Heck, I’m sure if you ask your parents nicely, they can maybe gift you money for your birthday or Xmas. Either way, you’ll get there kiddo.
You’re living my childhood dream right now
Wait holy shit she is back with more costumes! WE ARE SAVED!
1:19 It's so grungy, I LOVE IT!
Thank you for helping me find the peter web again i remember watching it when I was 5 and I loved it then I forgot the name of it and tried looking for it but I gave up after so many times looking for it and now thanks to you I can know watch it again
That was me too
something i noticed about the eyes is that the parts of it that touches your your nose, is that his went more inwards, while you made yours go more outwards, still love the suit so much
Zentai-Zentai, or MrZentai now, have a dedicated page to crediting the pattern makers on the site, I don't remember if that was there when I first found the site, or if its something recent. I bought a suit from them recently, and they had it set up so that if I didn't have the suit pattern, I'd have to spend extra money to buy the pattern in order to have the suit made.
Must be a recent then. Last time I bought a patterned suit from them, they didn’t credit the original pattern maker and it wasn’t until a friend of mine pointed it and made me realize this.
But hey if they’ve gotten their act together, that’s good to hear.
Loved this show when i was a kid
2 years ago I saw your video and I Watched Peter’s Web, and it was Awesome!!!
I’m rewatching it again because it’s still amazing!
Great job on this video dude amazing work as always
Now that looks fantastic I can imagine someone making a business of a lot of Roger King's Spider-Man Costume on Amazon & Ebay selling all over the UK & US version with different sizes for people to buy, but still I love how this suit was put together it looks the same including with some modifications with puffy paint which I love so much! 😄😄😄
I mean, I made this video to showcase how to make it, so that anyone can thwip (ha) up their own costume.
But yeah it would be cool if someone did that. It’s defo a great suit to make. Who knows if someone else can add something to it that I didn’t.
@@hexenbex I was hoping to find a link to have the pattern and thinking of having it requested and ordered to have, but still this suit actually shows how if Tobey's Spider-Man just had the web shooters instead of having his iconic organic webs
I loved his look for goblin the mask is genuinely terrifying
I have been trying to find this series for so long!!! I couldn’t remember what it was called or who made it. Thanks man
4:43 straight facts 🤣 thats probably why I love this suit so much cause it really looks homemade and something Peter would make and even though it’s homemade it looks FREAKING AMAZING. Wow 5:07 from the graphic novelization of Rami’s Spider-Man 2 that’s actually how Peter got the suit well look at that.
Pun intended
Yeah, in the novelization, the Flying Dutchman from the first movie made Peter’s costume.
So no wonder it looked so professionally made there.
Holy crap first saw your stuff on tik tok and was impressed and now your in my TH-cam reccomended and I’m even MORE impresssed😂💪
You should do a cosplay of the MCU spider man stealth suit
whats the name of the cover of "here comes the spider-man" at 1:18 i really liked it
Spider-Man by The Distillers.
It was used in the ending credits of Spider-Man 2 PS2
@@hexenbex thanks, never thougth that velvet would look so cool in a spiderman suit you and roger did a great job, respectively
A thing I find confusing out the Spider-Man suit in the raimi trilogy is that they say that Peter made his suit, but in the Spider-Man 2002 and the Spider-Man 2 2004 movie novels they say Peter went to a tailor to get his suit made for free. So that’s what I always thought every Peter Parker does to get a suit.
That’s awesome. I think you should make another classic suit from Dan Poole’s Spider-Man fan film the green goblin’s last stand.
I do have a spare base suit 👀…
@@hexenbex Maybe you can use that.
If Spider-Man were real that's exactly how the suit would look, because I've always loved that Peter Parker made his suit all on his own because in the MCU Tony made his suits for him and the only suit s he made himself was the homemade suit and the final swing suit. The way Roger King made his Spider-Man suit is how someone in Peter Parker's position would make it, it looks homemade and cheap but AMAZING, it's so realistic and we all know that the suits in the Rami trilogy, Marc Web trilogy, and MCU trilogy look like billion dollar suits that we all know a 15 year old couldn't make, so if Spider-Man were real that's how his suit would look.🕷🕸
This spider man suit and the black suited spider man looks really good by the way
Velvet can also double as spiders thing hair that they have , if anything it feels more spider-like ?
I actually did this exact same thing back in about 2015. I got into contact with Roger and emailed him about it all. Love that someone else took the time to appreciate his work too.
How dose one get a base suit I've been looking and I'm having a strugle if you can help that would be epic 5:40
Zentai zentai
The raimi films, spectacular Spider-Man, was my introduction to Spider-Man.
The black suit being filthy probably has to do with the grave scene from the fourth issue.
That and he wore it a lot in the heat of summer and was constantly rushing around
Wow this is amazing
That website Zentai sounds like Sentai, which reminds me, did you see much of the Japanese Spider-Man from the 70s? Penne Parker's presence in Into The Spider-Verse reminded me of the take Toei company had on Spider-Man, its really cool
this is the most rad shit i’ve ever seen
Roger king was really good being peter parker as spider man it was awesome
17:06 HAPPY HALLOWEEN MOTHER FU**** LOL
Suggestion: make a spider suit using things from a goodwill or from simple clothing.
How you did black suit Spider-Man

17:06 Mood
Cool Spidey outfit
Now this is it
We really need a continuation to peters web
I feel like the velvet red fabric would help make an accurate tasm 2 suit
what’s the song at 9:18
sounds like the pine haha
its "dead boat" by the pine
You've gotta let me know if the velvet helps with grip
What's the song in background?
There’s many songs in this, you’ll have to be more specific
5:51 how did you request the separate mask gloves and boots, do you message them through the website or do you have to request that trough a email?
5:50 how do I request the custom suit pattern? I looked on the website and it keeps telling me to go to contact us but idk what to do after that
Contact them via email of what specific suit you want. Be thorough what what you want done and they will ask you to clarify to be sure. Get reference pictures (I did the Raimi suit for the base pattern of my costume, just without the webs)
Once you’ve gone over what you’re aiming for, they will send you a link to where you can process the payment. When it’s gone through, they will keep updating through email of the progress of the costume until they send it out to you.
@@hexenbex alright thanks 😊
Nice!
Thank you Roger King for show me how I make Spider-Man fan films they keep up Spider-Man
imagine roger commented "suit plagiarism"
This was cool
Cool!
When you were singing. I think it was beautiful and not bad. BTW I love your Content so Much for the Cosplay tutorial
He should be the next Wolverine.
Love how you have anberlin in the intro lol
That opening is a bop
On the inside of boots and gloves use some silicone or plastidip spray. This rubber coating helps it from slipping
I have to admit. His spiderman fan film series are a lot better and full of action then no way home!
Can anyone tell me where to find the song that plays during the montage at 1:19?
Spider-Man - The Distillers
Thanks!
sorry to ask but i want to try and make the suit myself too! what was the eye material again ? I apologize
14:42
@@hexenbex I didn't get the plastic hole one ☹️
Hey cool spider-man
how do you wash the marker off? (Yes this is indeed the 6th time I have watched this video.)
It’s water removing marker. You can just rub it out with water.
Hello ! I wanted to know the process on how you were able to order the suit on zentai zentai
For the velvet fabric that you got, I can tell that the blue is navy blue, but for the red is it regular red or dark red by any chance?
It is a dark red. I actually did make a mistake by selecting normal red first and when they first shown me the suit before shipping, I saw that the red I choose originally was brighter than I wanted.
So I asked them to redo it and paid extra to have them change it to darker red, which is the accurate colour.
@@hexenbex Okay Great, thank you btw. Because personally I plan on actually making myself my own costume similar like how You and Roger King did it, but I also wanna do my own versions using regular red and regular/bright blue and peacock blue. And eventually use dark red and navy blue to create my own Spidey suits to make them look like the comic book version, Raimi 2002 and 2004-07 suits and a Peter’s web suit. Plus I wanna make my suits 7-peices just like in the comics, one day I wanna do it for cosplay and my eventual fan film. So thank you once again for the inspiration.
Bro talks abut the suit like hes old peter parker
nice
6:42 that.. didn't age so well.
Yeahhh that was before everything unfolded.
If anything, I should’ve credited the Amazing_Spider_Lab. They’re the ones that made the suit.
Gavin can jog on.
How did you get them to make the pattern for the base?
Edit: also who did that cover for the Spider-Man theme in the video, I can't find it at all
I simply requested them to use the Raimi pattern as reference for the base design, without the webs or logos. Since Roger also used that base as well.
For the theme tune, it’s the Distillers, which was used in Spider-Man 2 PS2 end credits.
For the red velvet material you got from zentai zentai, did you choose the burgandy red, the dark red, or just the plain red option?
I went for the dark red :)
I love this show!
1:25 OK just asking this I’ve looked everywhere. What’s the name of the song that plays in the background?
The distillers spider man search that and you should fit this song
@@DikoPupic thanks
@@Dirpproductions no prob
What cgi did he use
He did't use cgi he did it all himself which was cool
@@Zehabisbad damn, that’s awesome
@@eclipsemcplays ikr
heh. his first impression was the same as mine of the suit. looks good, but looks like your grandma made it
How exactly did you request this on zentai zentai
I emailed them that I wanted a Spider-Man base suit, with no webs or symbols. I then gave references of the Raimi Spider-Man pattern to use as the base design. I then requested to have it with a U-Zipper, detached gloves, detached boots, and 3 detached hoods.
After that, that calculated my request and gave me my price. They sent me a link to which I sent through the payment and from there on, they sent my emails of my suits progress to check that it’s what I wanted.
Once the suit was done, they sent it my way and it got to me within 2-3 weeks
@@hexenbex how much was the price
@@mrjacob1000 I can’t quite recall, but I’d say it was roughly between $60-100
@@hexenbex thanks man I think velvet Lycra is actually perfect for a Spider-Man suit cause like you said when you look at the comics and how the muscles are shown on the costume they appear almost like it's blue but black at the same time so velvet Lycra is the perfect selection not just from you but for Roger King as well 💯%
@@hexenbex how exactly do you email them
How many paint bottles did you use?
Only took me one bottle tbh. Buy two or three to be safe though. Especially if you’re using puff paint for the first time.
Good work
Was that anberlin in your intro?
Just binge watched the series and his second. Channel
