Well it’s been flash flooding just like that over many thousands of years which has made the canyon country of the Southwest so spectacularly beautiful. Unfortunately, the floods that create all that beauty are inherently dangerous to people who get too close or who ignore weather warnings.
I know that flash floods and any kind of fast-flowing water can be destructive and even deadly..... But there is something beautiful and almost hypnotic in these amazing images. 👀 Thank you. 🙏 M 🦘🏏😎

This video would have been better if it had either appropriate music or no music at all--preferably the latter, since the sound of the rushing water would have sufficed.
I just went saturday-today(tues)! This happened the day before and many trails were closed due to the search and rescue. I’m unsure if the missing woman was found yet but the narrows and riverside walk were closed. On saturday upon arriving there was a nothing flash storm for about 2hrs. cleared up the rest of the weekend which was nice, my thoughts and prayers are out to the family of the missing woman!
Unfortunately she was found, deceased from drowning:( she also didn't know how to swim. Her friends tried to persuade her not go from what I understand.

Wow Adam, This footage is amazing!! I am wondering how far away from you as the operator of the drone, can it fly and still make it back to you and not get lost? Are you steering through all hose corners or do the modern drones have some kind of radar that can make them avoid obstacles? What kind of speeds is it traveling...? I try to always have it in line of sight so a position with a good view is a must. This particular drone can go more than a mile away and still have good connectivity. Top speeds as 70mph

Engrossing and beautifully shot! Thanks for the video. As a footnote, we should mention that we don't actually see any flooding. I'm sure there was flooding, and the footage here suggests there will be flooding farther downstream, but we don't see that in this particular video.
It's amazing how drones have improved, the picture quality is amazing, and you can go almost anywhere with them, except military installations of course. That was really great footage. I just hope no one got caught in the canyon pryor to this flash flood.

Yes the rules are different here. I am personally happy about this rule. TBH drones annoy me whenever I hear them. I try to only fly them when I know I am alone.
@@abfreeman10 I get it right, drones disturb the wildlife and without control there would be excessive damage to the area. But for me a drone is a camera that allows me to capture images that I cant with a handheld. need to get the right balance and coexist without harm.

@@MNP208 The Narrows did not have this much water in it. Most of the water from this flood came from the East Fork of the Virgin River. That comes into the virgin river bellow Zion national park
Try to edit so that it's always flowing in the same direction . . . You can reverse the footage if necessary to keep the viewer moving in one direction 🤗

Drones capture amazing things but I find them incredibly annoying when I’m trying to get some solitude.
