An indie ballad written during lockdown, Chokecherry sows together shades of wanderlust and melancholy. From the opening bars, it evokes feelings of confinement and longing. As the song develops, a vivid energy finds purchase; the impetus to seek out change can now be followed to fruition.

You might consider taking the song descriptions, collecting them and publishing an anthology of deep thoughts... Does Nick write them?

Usually Connor writes the song blurbs because his academic background is actually in writing. Although coincidentally, I did write this one. Since Connor wrote the lyrics he wanted some more distance between lyric and description. He did still get to add in his thoughts via the editor’s pen. You know my rambling well! -n
