Palstar DL-2K is a terminating resistor (dummy load) for a maximum of 2500W RF transmit power in the frequency range from 0 to 100 MHz. The resistor is actively cooled by a thermally controlled fan in order to be able to process the high transmitting power up to max. 1 minute. If desired, the fan can also be switched on manually.
The analogue measuring unit can be switched between 0-500 and 0-2500 watts. Requires 13.8V DC (max. 0.5A) for fan and instrument.

In order not to send an unwanted signal into the world during the measurement, a precisely matched terminating resistor must be used, which can withstand the necessary power long enough for the calibration to be carried out carefully and in peace. The Palstar DL-2K meets these requirements.
The maximum load of 2,5 kW for one minute is sufficient to tune even large PAs. For longer tests, the load resistor can handle up to 400 W for a long time. The temperature-controlled fan provides sufficient cooling, the backlit instrument shows the currently recorded transmitting power (switchable 500/2500W).
