I was born in the mid 80's and All Dogs Go To Heaven was one of my absolute favorite movies as a kid. Even though it was just a cartoon, I had a real crush on Anne-Marie. It was only 2 or 3 years ago that I first learned of Judith's murder. I was looking up All Dogs Go To Heaven on Wikipedia and was curious about the girl who had voiced Anne-Marie and what she was now doing with her life. I saw Judith's name under cast and clicked it. When I read that Judith was murdered, I instantly realized she had been dead all the years I had been watching. The grief I felt can't be put into words. I swear the heart of my inner-child ripped right in two. R.I.P. Judith :(

One summer day when I was 9 I had worn a new outfit my mom had got me and someone hit me with a water balloon so my shirt got wet. When my mom found out she went "Mommie Dearest" style screaming at the top of her lungs and slapping me across the face over and over again. I was kicked and attacked over things like having a wrinkle in my comforter. My entire childhood was spent walking on eggshells and praying to God every night that he would PLEASE have my dad killed so I wouldnt have to live in fear anymore. Parents are monsters. Believe me, you're not missing anything 😞

Sure, it is sad when we lose those that we love to death but know this you'll see them again. Death isn't forever it is only a new beginning. When one door closes, another one opens up to the next life up in heaven when the life on earth door ends and closes shut. You will see them again once your own time comes but for now, just hold all of the memories that you have created with them close to your heart and your mind and they're still with you even if you cannot see them they're still there watching over you now as your newest guardian angel. Then nearly 2 months later on July 25th 1988 she was shot dead by her father, who then murdered her mother, poured gas over the bodies and set them on fire. The fire spread all around the house, meanwhile her father killed himself to avoid getting arrested. A few hours later firemen put the fire out and went upstairs to find Judith's body in her bed and Maria in the hallway. They cried as little Judith was carried out of the home.She was buried in August 1988 next to her mother and in 2004 and 2005 they received twin headstones. Rest in peace Judith, you are forever safe now.

The day I learned my family’s dog had cancer a couple years ago, I remember watching this in hopes it’d help me cope. But I cried at three points during the movie; this moment, the ending when Charlie goes to Heaven and the end credit song, Love Survives. As I learned, this probably isn’t one of the most ideal movies to watch after learning your dog is dying. 😢

I feel so empathetic for Judith, even though I never ever been in her shoes. I don't know why, but it's so sad what happened to her and what she went through, that i feel more than sympathy for her, it's more like empathy.
When you think of what happened to Judith there are more things to be happy about than sad about. Think about it. She's in heaven now with here mother in eternal paradise with eternal life and she has to deal with no more abuse, she's in such a peaceful place and her sister said in an interview once that that was all she ever wanted, and she's with her mother and both of them are finally free from Jozsef, and he is in hell getting what he deserves for what he did to them. Also at the very least, we never got to see her crash and burn as most child actors do, we just got to know the sweet innocent little girl who brought joy to the world

I can't watch this movie or hear this song without absolutely crying my eyes out every time, even though the song is short it is long enough to tear my very heart out. I really wish they would have continued the story with Anne Marie and showed how she turned out as an adult even if it wasn't the little girl that played her. Look up the video from Eleanor Neale video about Judith Barsi. The poor girl that sang this song was killed by her father and he also killed her mother. This song hits different knowing this was her last casting call. This beautiful soul deserved so much more in the world. Breaks my heart

This song was one of my favorites from this movie as a kid. Looking back on why, I mainly think it was because I didn't have..the best childhood. Even now that I'm slowly getting better, this song still hits hard
I love this song and it plays in my head when I've got boring tests and stuff. But when I listen to it in the film I tear up because poor little Judith burst into tears when she tried to sing this song because her dad was abusing her and her mother. Then nearly 2 months later on July 25th 1988 she was shot dead by her father, who then murdered her mother, poured gas over the bodies and set them on fire. The fire spread all around the house, meanwhile her father killed himself to avoid getting arrested. A few hours later firemen put the fire out and went upstairs to find Judith's body in her bed and Maria in the hallway. They cried as little Judith was carried out of the home.She was buried in August 1988 next to her mother and in 2004 and 2005 they received twin headstones. Rest in peace Judith, you are forever safe now.

The day I learned my family’s dog had cancer a couple years ago, I remember watching this in hopes it’d help me cope. But I cried at three points during the movie; this moment, the ending when Charlie goes to Heaven and the end credit song, Love Survives. As I learned, this probably isn’t one of the most ideal movies to watch after learning your dog is dying. 😢

I feel so empathetic for Judith, even though I never ever been in her shoes. I don't know why, but it's so sad what happened to her and what she went through, that i feel more than sympathy for her, it's more like empathy.

When you think of what happened to Judith there are more things to be happy about than sad about. Think about it. She's in heaven now with here mother in eternal paradise with eternal life and she has to deal with no more abuse, she's in such a peaceful place and her sister said in an interview once that that was all she ever wanted, and she's with her mother and both of them are finally free from Jozsef, and he is in hell getting what he deserves for what he did to them. Also at the very least, we never got to see her crash and burn as most child actors do, we just got to know the sweet innocent little girl who brought joy to the world

When I hear this song, I think of a lot of little boys and little girls. Small and needing, thinking of both how they've grown up and how they may not have a mother or farther living anymore to guide them. This song and movie both really capture the concept of mortality. I wonder how lonely my mom and aunts must feel without their father.

I can't watch this movie or hear this song without absolutely crying my eyes out every time, even though the song is short it is long enough to tear my very heart out. I really wish they would have continued the story with Anne Marie and showed how she turned out as an adult even if it wasn't the little girl that played her. I didn't find out about Judith's death until I heard about her being the voice of duckie from the land before time, and I got so angry, when i read her story such a sweet little soul taken way too soon I would have loved to see where her career would have gone. there is no doubt in my mind that she would have been a great voice actor

Bawling like a baby after reading about how Judith couldn't get through this song without breaking down. Little did we know at the time the nightmare she lived at home. My heart is shattered in a million pieces for a little girl I've never met. She'll be remembered forever, we can enjoy her talent, watching all her work on TH-cam. Meanwhile, no one will be remembering her cowardly sperm doner.
Eventhough Flo and her puppies weren't shown at the end, I always wanted to believe the couple allowed Anne Marie to keep them. Itchy may have been by her side while she was in bed, but hopefully the litter was in a separate room.

The fact that Don Bluth films weren’t afraid to challenge kids with depictions of death and separation made him the best animator of the 1980s. But can we take a minute to bask in how oversized he makes the moon in his films? I feel for you my longest separation from my mom was in 2001 and 2002 for 6 months [I had to spend Christmas, my 10th birthday, New Years without her so I missed my mom] as a result i had to live with my grandparents in *Hong Kong who I do NOT Trust at all or live with my father but due to the logistical difficulty of getting such cumbersome object (In this case my baggage which were at my grandparents apartment).
Reason for separation was tongue acupuncture which helped me find my voice (it took 60 Appointments in order to complete I struggled to get the appointments done)
