I just wanted to thank you because this helped us find the switches. I'd been dealing with this issue for months and couldn't get my Q5 inspected. I'll gladly donate to your channel. The issue we were having was actually the fault code for the tail lights. This was caused by some recent bodywork where they did not reconnect something. It was a connector that goes to that same assembly you showed. After we found it it was simple to snap everything back in place and it's good to go.
Are you able to describe where that connector was? Im wondering if i have a similar issue as i think the previous owner played around with the electrical system in the car
This Is gonna save the lifes of people who have this problems, the good of this videos are that are some random videos very ussefull that u can find around Internet, I found your Chanel with a Corsair vídeo of my mouse Harpoon that wasnt working in ps4 importante stilthankfull😃
Thank you for this video! Good simple explanation. I have a 2010 Audi Q5 that was to a panel repair shop and they said all was ok, but i could not get the rear ligths working again. So I scanned the car and got error for the rear latch, and i purchased the upper latch on the trunk and replaced it but still same error, but then i found the latch on the underside also and the cable was disconnected there from the panel repair shop. Plugg that in and all working again. Thanks from Norway :D
Hello, this video is really great. Our Q5 doesnt latch. The light it’s on for the hatch on the dashboard. I was reading could be an actuator as well… do you think we should start with this video for trouble shooting?
My final fix ended up being the replacing the lock activator striker plate, so look at my video on how to fix that here: th-cam.com/video/Te8YyPFWUQA/w-d-xo.html
did this sensor keep your door from latching? My door will close all the way down but it does not latch. I believe this may be my issue since when i push the sensor manuall the light does not go off.
It turns out that even after replacing this sensor I still had problems so I replaced the Activator/Strike Plate and that completely fixed all my problems, you can find the part here: parts.audiusa.com/p/Audi__/51128748/4F9827383G.html
Dang, 400 something dollars. I’ll probably need that part you’re mentioning since My tailgate won’t latch all the way in when it closes. Excellent video though
What ended up completely fixing my problem was to replace the lock activator striker plate. You can see a video on replacing that here: th-cam.com/video/Te8YyPFWUQA/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ZadiusTech
mine opens a few inches and closes immediately and when I open for the second time it works fine, it takes two tries to open the gate pls help, any fix?
It sounds like you may need to replace the lock activator striker plate. Check out my video here on how to do that: th-cam.com/video/Te8YyPFWUQA/w-d-xo.html
I just did this swap and it made no difference at all - part was genuine audi replacement and its easy to ft, no obstructions with the trunk or rubber seal - any ideas on what to check next please? - getting fed up of having to lean on the trunk each time to get it to shut all the way. thank you for any ideas.
Different fix, I have an issue with water getting into the area where the amp is and it keeps.getting fried. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It's your back sunroof drains. Q7's are famous for this issue, especially the rear right drain hose(it’s Brown in Color) where all the electronic modules are. You are gonna have to remove interior panels on the sides and on top to be able to see the sunroof drains. Audi used very stupid and cheap plastic connectors to connect the metal nipples from roof drains to the brown tubing that runs downward. Once the connections gets old and less pliable, they just come off the nipples and create a leak. You would have to devise a new method to connect everything, creating a leak proof connections for the drains. I can understand that Audi did that method for ease of manufacturing and assembly on the production line but long term reliability suffered in the process for such simple component like a drain of a roof. Hope you get it figured out and fixed.
Havin problems with 08 Audi q7 tailights done took to mechanic 3 times tail lights won’t stay on done replace twilight switch n all kinda of stuff one will work den sometimes neither one works hate to take to dealership for something simple but really hate can’t drive truck @ night

Hi there..my q7 tailgate will not close shut. How would I know whether it’s the striker plate or sensor?
Most likely it's the plate, that's what ended up being the final fix for me.

does it cause battery to drain?
Does this also make the alarm go off when you lock the doors I read on the Audi forum where it could be the problem and just wanted to double check
No, I didn't have that problem.
Mines did the same still trying to figure it out as to why
Hello, I need help with my 2008 audi q7. Tail lights, signal light and break lights don't work, please help
I think my 2007 Q7 has the same problem.. How do i determine if this is the issue?
I ended up finally fixing my issue by doing the repair in this video, you might want to give that a try: th-cam.com/video/Te8YyPFWUQA/w-d-xo.html
Does this cause battery to drain? My 2013 trunk always says open and I know it’s not and my battery drain
Mines is doing the samething when i get back to the car i have to jump it and it says the truck is open but is physically closed
I've tried searching for fifty dejar indicator switch and unable to find it, does anyone have a link to purchase please
I have these exact symptoms on a 2015 Q7 but after changing the part nothing improved: what am I doing wrong?

Hi Radio Radiation, hold down the left and right mouse buttons and then plug in the mouse to get the mouse off of BIOS mode.
