Depends what you have to say but I personally like good commentary in mtb videos and talk a lot in the videos I make. BKXC is one of the best at riding and talking. The video looks great, how do you mount the camera?
New GoPro looks awesome! And I love how you show your routes of the Wiss that aren't just following the yellow or white trail one way like I usually do. I plan on following one of your rides in the future. Thanks for posting these.
Yeah I actually only just found out about it myself after riding that top part like 50 times over the years.. It's so much better than the loose scree if you stay right. I need to learn the lines better... There's some great opportunities for air
I was there last night and there were a bunch of people riding at night, which I didn't know was really a thing. And also they were filming a scene for a TV show near danger dam. And I hear that they are filling devil's pool. A lot going on over there these days.
Night riding is awesome, I highly recommend it. It's a much different experience even on trails you might be really familiar with. The wiss is a great night spot because the trails are relatively straight and fast. Tight and twisty places are not as fun in the dark imo. If you try it, make sure you have two lights (one helmet and one bars) and I suggest riding with a partner...
At the beginning you said you started North of Valley Green, I spend a bunch of time back here exploring but new to the mtb trails. Where do I find that first bike trail head north of the inn?
@@adr3000 He was on VG to Rex (trailfork name). Prob most technical section of Wiss. He did not show much of that trail though. He jumps to Meadows pretty quick.
@@Srdeo33 awesome thx homie! I was just over there tonight but super wet. Always do Forbidden Drive down to ancora and back to the city. Still learning the trails but the Wiss doesn't seem to let me down. Always beautiful back there.
IMO descending the monster is a waste of elevation loss compared to the other options you have there, but TBH I haven't ridden it downhill since they resurfaced it and added all those water bars... Might have to give it a try and see if it changes how I feel...
Hey Sam we should ride some time...I think I almost mimicked 80% of this vid the other day...although I took the monster and literally had to jump someone’s “off the leash” dog...
Yeah, I'm a bit conflicted... Dogs should be leashed, but there's also supposed to be a 7mph speed limit so I figure were both a bit in the wrong. As long as everybody stays safe and friendly, I think we can still get along lol
But their dog is friendly :-( I've seen unleashed dogs start fighting each other and then the owners get made at each other! I did report unleashed dogs to a very hard to find Ranger. He said there is nothing he could do without getting the police involved.
I was a little more chatty in this video...what do y'all think...keep talking or shut up and ride? :)
I like it

Enjoyed the go straight vs right annotations. Helped.
I think the added instruction/direction is helpful for folks who have never been there
@@TrailSage thanks!
Man that was amazing. Been here all my life and never knew it existed.
Best place for a ride! Love your videos! Haven’t seen a new one in a while!
I live down the st and haven’t really done much here. Need to just get out and ride it
Get on out! It's so good and it's great for all skill levels.
Fall Wiss is best Wiss.
Aaaand, suddenly a trail dog!
That dog ripped lol
@@PhillyMTB better than 95% of my interactions with offleash dogs in the Wiss.
Yes! I have been waiting for a wiss video!
Nice upload!!
Incredible
Hero 9 black footage looks so good. Subbed!
Thanks I'm pretty stoked on it. Gonna get the max lens mod when they come in stock to get it looking even better!

Great footage. I always go right at that trail marker.. next time definitely going straight for that sick downhill

Bonus trail Dog! Nice. What rig are you riding?
Yes that surprise trail dog was sweet! I'm riding a 2019 trance advanced 2 with a couple upgrades...got my eye on a Kona process x in 2021 though
Awesome video! Need to try going left after climbing the monster. Would you know any local MTB riding groups that meet up?
Hope I park right and find these lol

That is coming down from from the parking lot above VGI towards bells millls on the chestnut hill side.
@@PhillyMTB ah got it! Runs into orange trail I see it now. I never am coming from that direction, always coming from SRT. Thx man!

And the requisite dogs off leash. That's the real Wiss. (But how in the world is taking the Monster a mistake?)

@@johnu730 yeah unfortunately that stuff happens too. I generally ride early to avoid trail conflicts with dogs, humans and everything else lol
@@PhillyMTB Is that speed limit just for Forbidden drive or all trails?
